Telly fans warned of Freeview TV channel changes TODAY – and you may need to reset your box
MediaBoyUK has taken to X to warn telly fans of today's channel changes.
Freeview channel changes
In a recent post he told his followers that GREAT! tv will move from Freview UK Channel 50 to Channel 34.
It will swap channels with GREAT! movies which is switching from Channel 34 to 50.
In addition to these changes, ITVBe+1 will be removed from Channel 93, while 4seven will also be removed from COM5.
MediaBoyUK has also reported that "Must Have Ideas" is set to launch this Friday at 6am on Freeview UK Channel 96, as per the Freeview EPG listing.
These changes are UK wide.
GREAT! airs a variety of popular TV shows from crime drama "Murder, She Wrote" to hit series "M*A*S*H".
Its movie channel also shows an array of films, with a particular focus on action and adventure genres.
Users urged to reset boxes
Viewers must reset their tvs in order to access these channel updates.
According to Freeview, this is easy and straightforward.
Users should follow these simple steps to successfully reset their deivce:
Press menu on your box or TV remote
Select "set-up" - if prompted for a password, the default code is either "1234" or "0000"
Select "first-time installation"
Press 'OK' if your equipment asks if it's OK to delete existing channels and then your retune should start automatically

Recent Freeview channel changes
This comes after Brits were urged to retune their TVs last month, following a Freeview update which saw changes made to several channels.
OxfordMail reported that Blaze+1 moved from Channel 81 to 92, while Rewind TV swapped Channel 92 for 81.
Among the changes were also channel renames and new launches.

Now, Nicola Vacher-Smith, who is the founder of Sanctuary Twelve, a garden studio located in Blyth, Northumberland, now just has to walk a few steps down her garden to get to work. Do I need planning permission to convert my shed? CONVERTING an existing shed or outbuilding into a self-contained living space will usually require you apply for planning permission. However, there is a "loophole" Brits can use to convert outbuildings into a tiny home without permission. Planning expert Martin Gaine from Just Planning warned the conversion process is far easier than you may think. Speaking to The Sun, the Chartered Town Planner of 14 years' experience explained: "An outbuilding can be built using 'permitted development rights', meaning it does not need planning permission. "As long as you comply with the various restrictions and conditions." One of these is that the outbuilding can only be used for something 'ancillary' to your main living accommodation - examples include storage, a gym or a pool room. If the outbuilding is existing, converting it then into primary living accommodation IS allowed. Martin explained: "This is because internal changes to an existing building are not considered to be development at all under the Town and Country Planning Act. But like anything, there is one catch. The new living accommodation must still have some connection with your use of the main house. For instance, if your gran is living out there, she must still come into the house to eat. To accessorise the space, she nabbed her sideboard and chair from Daals and got her desk and lamp from IKEA. She also got a mirror and a stand from B&M, as well as a gorgeous vase from TK Maxx. Social media users react Nicola's TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @nicolavachersmith, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 436,900 views. Not only this, but it's also amassed 49,000 likes, 192 comments and 6,296 saves. 'I've worked with Lorraine for three decades this is what she's like off-screen'
Dr Hilary Jones has worked with Lorraine Kelly on ITV for over 35 years, and has shared what the Scottish presenter is really like behind the scenes after they both released books ITV's Dr Hilary Jones has opened up about his long-standing colleague Lorraine Kelly, sharing insights into their 35-year working relationship and the Scottish presenter's character. The health expert, who is celebrating the release of his third novel Under Darkening Skies, spoke candidly about their mutual appreciation for each other's written work and gave a glimpse into what it's like to work with Lorraine off-air. In an exclusive conversation with he disclosed: "Oh, she's lovely. Lorraine - people often say, 'What is Lorraine really like?' and I say she's exactly as she comes across. "She's engaging, she's interested in people, she's genuine, and she's great fun. I've worked with her for over 35 years, and she's written her books as well, so we've read each other's books." It's not just Lorraine who Dr Hilary has praised as he commented: "Of course, people like Shaun Wallace-I've come across on The Chase-a lovely guy-very well read. I read his book as well." Under Darkening Skies will hit the shelves on July 31st, as reported by the Express. These revelations from Dr Hilary emerge amidst ITV's announcement of significant scheduling changes, including alterations to the broadcast frequency of Lorraine's show. Starting from 2026, Lorraine will air for only 30 weeks per year, a change that will also affect Loose Women. Lorraine's airtime is set to be halved, with Good Morning Britain extending by an extra half-hour ending at 9:30am. In the new schedule, on days without Lorraine, GMB will broadcast from 6am until 10am. Kevin Lygo, director of ITV's media and entertainment division, shared his thoughts on the changes: "Daytime is a really important part of what we do, and these scheduling and production changes will enable us to continue to deliver a schedule providing viewers with the news, debate and discussion they love from the presenters they know and trust as well generating savings which will allow us to reinvest across the programme budget in other genres. "These changes also allow us to consolidate our news operations and expand our national, international and regional news output and to build upon our proud history of trusted journalism at a time when our viewers need accurate, unbiased news coverage more than ever. "I recognise that our plans will have an impact on staff off-screen in our Daytime production teams, and we will work with ITV Studios and ITN as they manage these changes to produce the shows differently from next year, and support them through this transition. "Daytime has been a core element of ITV's schedule for over 40 years and these changes will set ITV up to continue to bring viewers award-winning news, views and discussion as we enter our eighth decade."
