Roma officially announces signing of Gasperini as coach
Rome – Saba: Italian football club Roma announced in an official statement on Friday the signing of Italian Gian Piero Gasperini, the former coach of Atalanta, as a successor to veteran coach Claudio Ranieri. Ranieri, 73, left his position as coach of Roma at the end of last season, having officially announced his retirement from coaching, prompting the capital club's management to search for a new coach. Gasperini spent nine years with Atalanta, during which he achieved numerous successes, most notably leading the team to the Europa League title in the 2023-2024 season.
