Roma officially announces signing of Gasperini as coach

Rome – Saba: Italian football club Roma announced in an official statement on Friday the signing of Italian Gian Piero Gasperini, the former coach of Atalanta, as a successor to veteran coach Claudio Ranieri. Ranieri, 73, left his position as coach of Roma at the end of last season, having officially announced his retirement from coaching, prompting the capital club's management to search for a new coach. Roma announced that the contract with Gasperini, 67, extends for the next three seasons, until the summer of 2028. Gasperini spent nine years with Atalanta, during which he achieved numerous successes, most notably leading the team to the Europa League title in the 2023-2024 season. It is worth noting that Roma finished last season in fifth place in the Italian Football League with 69 points, securing a spot in next season's Europa League. Australia snatches valuable victory over Japan and edges closer to World Cup qualification

Canberra - Saba: The Australian national team secured a valuable victory over its guest, Japan, defeating them 1-0 in the match held today, Thursday, at Perth Stadium, in the ninth round of Group C qualifying for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The Australian team owes its credit to its player Aziz Behich, who scored the winning goal and the only goal of the match in the 90th minute.
