Celebs Swear By This Skin Care Brand—And It's Majorly Discounted for Prime Day

Elle08-07-2025
Let's cut to the chase—EltaMD, the cult-favorite skin care brand revered by editors, dermatologists, and more than a few A-listers, is on sale—a rarity worth noting. As part of Amazon Prime Day (running July 8–11), the brand's most coveted products, including its best-in-class tinted sunscreen and fan-favorite foaming cleanser, are 20 percent off. With markdowns this rare—and the UV index climbing fast—now is the time to stock up, before the deals disappear.
Curious which celebrities are devoted to EltaMD? The better question might be: Who isn't? Hailey Bieber and Sydney Sweeney both vouch for the brand's facial sunscreen, citing its gentle touch on temperamental, breakout-prone skin. Kendall Jenner has crowned it one of her daily essentials. And in a case of influencer inception, Khloé Kardashian reportedly introduced Addison Rae to the brand—now a fan herself, thanks to its ability to wear beautifully solo or under a full face of makeup.
But here's the real kicker: this Hollywood-endorsed SPF isn't just aspirational—it's accessible. With thousands of glowing five-star reviews and the kind of clinical credibility that makes dermatologists swoon, EltaMD products are a mainstay in beauty editors' arsenals (I, for one, haven't touched another brand all summer). Below, the must-shop markdowns worth sprinting to checkout for. Do your skin a favor and snag them before they vanish into the Prime Day ether.
Consider this the holy grail of facial sunscreens. Available in two subtly tinted shades, it promises not to create that dreaded ghostly white cast. With SPF 46, it shields against both UVA and UVB rays, while a potent blend of niacinamide and vitamin E works behind the scenes to target discoloration and early signs of aging. In short, it's the ideal daily SPF for every day wear.
Looking for a sunscreen that provides hydration? This tinted formula delivers serious UV protection while quenching skin with hyaluronic acid. It's sun care with a side of moisture, ideal for normal, dry, or combination complexions.
Prefer your sunscreen without the tint? EltaMD has you covered—literally. The untinted version of their beloved UV Daily sunscreen is also part of the Prime Day sale. With over 18,000 Amazon reviews, it's a clear favorite for its lightweight feel, broad-spectrum protection, and, most importantly, its ability to melt into the skin without a trace of that chalky white cast.
Planning to log some serious pool time? Opt for this water-resistant iteration of EltaMD's esteemed sunscreen. It offers the same sheer, breathable coverage as the original, but with the added endurance to withstand sweat, splashes, and sun-soaked laps.
After a long day of wearing sunscreen, you'll want a gentle, effective cleanser to whisk it all away. Enter EltaMD's Skin Recovery Amino Acid Foaming Facial Cleanser—a formula that lifts away excess oil, impurities, and SPF without stripping your skin or leaving it feeling parched.
Not sure where to begin? Start with a bundle. This set pairs EltaMD's residue-free sunscreen with its gentle foaming cleanser—an ultra-practical duo at a price that feels almost too good to be true. Think of it as two skin care staples for the price of one, no guesswork required.

THE FANTASTIC FOUR: FIRST STEPS Introduces One of Marvel's Most Powerful Characters and Kevin Feige Teases His MCU Future — GeekTyrant

Marvel Studios is taking taking the MCU in a wild direction with The Fantastic Four: First Steps , and the biggest reveal yet is the introduction of Franklin Richards, one of the most powerful characters in Marvel Comics history. Fans have been talking about Franklin's role for months, and now Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is teasing just how important he will be to the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward. For those unfamiliar, Franklin Richards is the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm, and in the comics, he's an Omega-level mutant with reality-warping abilities that rival cosmic gods. His presence alone signals that Marvel isn't playing it safe with the First Family's MCU debut. Feige explained the decision to include Franklin during a recent press roundtable: 'Well, I think, as always, look at the comics. Look at the comics. There is great potential with Franklin. There's great potential in the other child. And, I mean, really, the reason to do it first is that it had never been done before. 'There have been four movies, as you're well aware. And Franklin had never been a part of that. So, as we were looking for ways to set it apart, to do a definitive version of Fantastic Four, we thought the notion of that child and his importance to come would be a good place to start and embrace. And that's certainly what Matt embraced.' This is huge because Franklin's comic history is tied to some of Marvel's most iconic storylines, including his encounters with Galactus. He's so powerful that he's resurrected the world-devourer and even served as his herald. Feige's mention of 'the other child' also points to Valeria Richards, Reed and Sue's second child, whose genius-level intellect has deep ties to none other than Doctor Doom. With Doom confirmed to appear in Avengers: Doomsday , Marvel is clearly laying the groundwork for a storyline that will be heavily inspired by the comics. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is a foundational piece of the Multiverse Saga. Set entirely on Earth-828 in a retro-futuristic 1960s, the movie takes some really cool creative swings by leaning into Jack Kirby-inspired aesthetics. This fresh timeline also allows Marvel to introduce the badass villain Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson, and a Shalla-Bal version of the Silver Surfer, portrayed by Julia Garner. With his Franklin Richards' universe-shaping powers, he could be the MCU's ultimate trump card in the looming multiversal war against Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom. The Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters on July 25, and it's clear this movie is shaping the future of the MCU in a massive way.

James Gunn Confirms Aquaman's Status in the DCU – 'You Can Cut Out Aquaman F–ing Fish' — GeekTyrant

James Gunn has cleared up one of the lingering questions fans have had about the new DCU, like what's the deal with Aquaman? During a recent discussion on Peacemaker: The Official Podcast, the Superman director and DC Studios co-CEO revealed where Arthur Curry stands in his rebooted universe, and let's just say things aren't looking great for the King of Atlantis. Jason Momoa first made his debut as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice back in 2016, before taking on a larger role in 2017's Justice League . Despite that film's rocky reception, Momoa's solo outing in 2018's Aquaman was a massive success, hauling in $1.1 billion worldwide. Unfortunately, the tides turned with the sequel. Released in 2023 as the final film of the DCEU, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom pulled in only $440 million globally, which was a sharp decline that cemented the franchise's uncertain future. For those wondering what might have been, the DCEU had big potential storylines ahead, including a possible Flashpoint adaptation that would have pitted Atlantis against Themyscira and likely set up Crisis on Infinite Earths . Instead, the old continuity has been scrapped for Gunn and Peter Safran's new DC Universe. So where does that leave Aquaman now? According to Gunn, the character's celebrity status in the DCU doesn't really exist. 'It's unlikely that Aquaman is a famous hero in the DCU as Superman and Peacemaker season 2 are happening. That's unlikely,' Gunn confirmed. He even joked that fans could create their own revised version of Peacemaker season 1 to fit the new canon: 'You can cut out Aquaman f***ing fish.' This is a reference to the running joke in Peacemaker where Christopher Smith constantly claimed Aquaman had an intimate relationship with sea life. The Season 1 finale paid off the gag with a surprise cameo from Momoa alongside Ezra Miller's Flash, where Aquaman flat-out denied the accusation. While that scene was hilarious, Gunn made it clear it's no longer canon under the DCU. As for when we'll see Aquaman again, Gunn has said it won't be anytime soon.

The 13 Best Adam Sandler Movies To Stream Before 'Happy Gilmore 2'

With more than 80 movies and TV shows to his name, actor Adam Sandler is no stranger to the silver screen. He has earned three Grammy Awards, five Primetime Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Most recently, he was awarded the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in 2023 and People's Icon Award in 2024. On top of all of that, back in 2011, Sandler was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Now, with Happy Gilmore 2 premiering today, July 25, 2025—a long-awaited sequel nearly 30 years in the making—fans are revisiting his funniest and most iconic roles. But despite all of those awards and honors, he is best known for his hilarious voice and unbeatable line delivery. First appearing on Saturday Night Live from 1990 to 1995, Sandler has remained a force to be reckoned with in the movie industry ever since. And here, we have ranked the 13 best Adam Sandler movies of all time. 13. 'Murder Mystery' (2019) Sandler teamed with award-winning actress Jennifer Aniston for the second time in this laugh-out-loud cozy mystery. The duo travels to Europe for their anniversary, but things go south when people keep showing up dead. It won a People's Choice Award for Favorite Comedic Movie, and its sequel was released in 2023. You can watch this movie on Netflix. 12. 'Hotel Transylvania' (2012) In this family-friendly film, Sandler voices Dracula, a father determined to protect his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) from the outside world. To do that, he builds her a monsters-only hotel. Thanks to his voice talents, Sandler shines here. It also stars David Spade, Andy Samberg, Steve Buscemi and Kevin James, and went on to have four sequel movies. You can watch the movie on Prime Video. 11. 'Longest Yard' (2005) After Sandler's character, disgraced football quarterback Paul Crewe, ends up in jail and devises a plan to beat the cruel prison guards at a rigged tackle football game. But he can't do it without the help of ex-NFL coach Nate Scarborough (Burt Reynolds). Filled with laughter, heart and sports, this film has something for everyone. You can watch the movie on Paramount+. 10. 'Big Daddy' (1999) Costarring alongside Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Sandler plays their dad, who has no ambition but is forced to really step up and take care of his kids in order to impress his ex-girlfriend. Lots of laughs and dealing with second chances, the film allows Sandler to capture viewers' hearts. Rob Schinder and Leslie Mann also appear. You can watch this movie on Prime Video. 9. 'The Waterboy' (1998) With stars like Kathy Bates, Peter Dante, Henry Winkler and more, this movie might be one of Sandler's most underrated films. After going from waterboy to linebacker, Bobby Boucher Jr (Sandler) steps up to the plate, and soon a once-losing team has a chance at the championship. This movie is perfect for fans of Sandler's other sports comedy movies. You can watch this movie on Hulu. 8. 'Billy Madison' (1995) In his first movie after leaving Saturday Night Live, Sandler decided to do what he did best: make viewers laugh with his hilarious voice and wit. The last thing man-child Billy Madison (Sandler) wants to do is go back and redo kindergarten through 12th grade, but he has no choice. If he doesn't, his father's business will go to Billy's worst enemy, Eric (Bradley Whitford). You can watch this movie on Prime Video. 7. 'Blended' (2014) In Sandler's latest film with Drew Barrymore, the two set off on a dream vacation to Africa with their kids. The only problem? They have to pretend to be in a relationship despite the fact that they hate each other. Or do they? With things like safaris, elephant sightings and even Shaquille O'Neal, this movie captured viewers' hearts and didn't let it go. You can watch this movie on Hulu. 6. 'Happy Gilmore' (1996) After a failed hockey career, Happy Gilmore (Sandler) decides to try to win the PGA golf tournament to help his grandma (Frances Bay) out with her house payments. And with the help of his mentor, Chubbs (Carl Weathers), Happy may just pull it off. A hilarious movie that somehow made golf a lot more entertaining for non-fans of the sport. You can watch this movie on Prime Video. 5. 'The Wedding Singer' (1998) This was the first team-up between Sandler and Berrymore, but it certainly was not the last! Set in 1985, Robbie Hart (Sandler) is a wedding singer who ironically was left at the altar by his fiancée. He meets Julia Sullivan (Barrymore), who hires Robbie to help plan her wedding. Now Robbie must stop Julia from marrying the wrong guy in the hopes that she will end up with him instead. What follows is lots of shenanigans and even a song performed by Sandler himself. You can watch this movie on Prime Video. 4. 'Grown Ups' (2010) It was the team-up everyone had been waiting for: Sandler starring alongside James, Spade, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, Salma Hayek, Maya Rudolph, and more! In the film, after their childhood basketball coach dies, five friends decide to head out to a lakeside cabin with their families for the Fourth of July. What could go wrong? This movie also had a sequel, Grown Ups 2, which came out in 2013. You can watch this movie on Prime Video. 3. '50 First Dates' (2004) Set in breathtaking Hawaii, Barrymore plays a woman (Lucy Whitmore) who can't remember anything from the day before, but despite this, Henry Roth (Sandler) sets his sights on her and does everything in his power to get her to remember him, much to everyone else's dismay. Barrymore and Sandler's chemistry reaches new highs in this rom-com. You can watch this movie on Prime Video. 2. 'Uncut Gems' (2019) Sandler's ability to become a serious actor, not just a comedian, shocked viewers with this film. Jeweler Howard Ratner (Sandler) makes a high-stakes bet that could hopefully get him out of his crippling debt. But soon thereafter, his business, email, and adversaries get in the way, and Howard is forced to decide what he really wants. A twisted story with secrets and revenge. Directed by Benny and Josh Safdie, this film also stars Julia Fox, Idina Menzel and LaKeith Stanfield. You can watch this movie on Netflix. 1. 'Just Go With It' (2011) With hilarious moments, a gorgeous Hawaiian backdrop and a fresh take on family, this film takes the gold as Sandler's best. Starring Aniston, Nicole Kidman, Brooklyn Decker, Nick Swardson, Dave Matthews, and more, it follows Dr. Daniel Maccabe (Sandler) as he tries to win over Palmer's (Decker) heart by enlisting the help of his assistant Katherine (Aniston) and her kids. The group sets off to Hawaii, and what follows is a journey of mishaps with so many funny lines that it's almost impossible to keep up with. You can watch this movie on Prime Video.
