Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw displays Bible passage on hat during Pride Night
Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is going viral on social media after appearing to wear a hat with a Bible passage written on the front during the organization's Pride Night celebration.
Kershaw wore a Dodgers hat with a rainbow-colored team logo during Friday's game against the San Francisco Giants.
Screenshots of the broadcast shared on social media showed that the message "Gen 9:12-16" was also written on the front, seemingly in reference to Genesis 9:12-16.
The passage referencing God's covenant with Noah points to the rainbow as a sign of that promise.
The Dodgers did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Kershaw notably protested the organization's decision in 2023 to honor the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence before the team's Pride Night game that season. The three-time Cy Young Award winner said his opposition was based solely on the group's mockery of Christianity.
"I don't agree with making fun of other people's religions," Kershaw said. "It has nothing to do with anything other than that. I just don't think that, no matter what religion you are, you should make fun of somebody else's religion. So, that's something that I definitely don't agree with."
Kershaw said at the time that his issue was specifically with the group and that he had no intentions to boycott Pride Night.
"This has nothing to do with the LGBTQ community or Pride or anything like that," Kershaw told the Los Angeles Times. "This is simply a group that was making fun of a religion that I don't agree with."
Friday marked the Dodgers' 12th annual Pride Night event.
Not long after facing backlash in 2023, the Dodgers announced they would also be hosting Christian Faith and Family Day for the first time since 2019.

Shohei Ohtani hits 2 HR, Clayton Kershaw pitches 7 scoreless innings as Dodgers regain 1st place over Giants
Shohei Ohtani hit two home runs, while Clayton Kershaw pitched seven scoreless innings to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers back into first place atop the National League West with an 11-5 win over the San Francisco Giants on Saturday. Ohtani put the Dodgers on the board first with a leadoff homer off Landen Roupp, who left a 91 mph cutter up high in the strike zone. Roupp caused more trouble for himself in the second inning, walking Teoscar Hernández and Max Muncy on five pitches apiece. Both runners came around to score on an Andy Pages single and Michael Conforto double. Advertisement With two runners on and one out, Roupp intentionally walked Ohtani but then left a sinker in the middle of the zone for Mookie Betts to smack for a two-run double. The Giants starter lasted 1 2/3 innings, allowing six runs on four hits, five walks and no strikeouts. Ohtani added his second home run in the sixth, pulling a high, outside curveball from reliever Tristan Beck over the fence in right-center field. That was the 250th home run of Ohtani's spectacular eight-year MLB career, 79 of which have been in less than two seasons with the Dodgers. Surprisingly, Ohtani hadn't hit a home run in his past 10 games before. That may have made him press a bit, compelling him to chase pitches he normally might have held back on, according to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts. "I think it seemed like a while," Roberts said, via "I think that there was a lot of chase down below in the last 10 days. Tonight, he got the ball, used the big part of the field and put some good swings together." Advertisement Perhaps even more encouraging for the Dodgers was Kershaw's best start since returning to the rotation on May 17. Making his sixth appearance on the season, the veteran left-hander allowed only three hits and one walk with five strikeouts in seven innings. In his past two starts, Kershaw has given up one run in 12 innings, striking out 12 batters and walking only one. "In the moment, I can think of some pitches outside myhead that I'd like to have back, that I'd like to throw better," Kershaw said after the game. But there's no restrictions physically, health-wise, which is great." Saturday's start dropped Kershaw's ERA to 3.25 for the season, though he's striking out 6.5 batters per nine innings, which would be the lowest rate of his career. However, he's also 12 strikeouts away from reaching 3,000 for his career. "Maybe by September I'll get there, we'll see," Kershaw said, via "It's obviously a very cool thing and it's starting to get a little more on the forefront of the mind, but who knows how long 12 could take me at this point? It might be until August, so we'll see.' Advertisement Only 19 other pitchers have hit and surpassed that mark in MLB history, including two other active pitchers, Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander. With Saturday's win, the Dodgers regained a one-game lead to lead the NL West at 42-29, just ahead of the Giants at 41-30. Dustin May starts for Los Angeles in the series finale on Sunday night, while Kyle Harrison gets the nod for San Francisco.

Today's Quordle Hints (and Answer) for Wednesday, June 11, 2025
If you're looking for the Quordle answer for Wednesday, June 11, 2025, read on—I'll share some clues, tips, and strategies, and finally the solution. Beware, there are spoilers below for June 11, Quordle #1234! Keep scrolling if you want some hints (and then the answer) to today's Quordle game. (If you play Wordle, Connections, and Strands, check out our hints for those games, too.) How to play Quordle Quordle lives on the Merriam-Webster website. A new puzzle goes live every day. If you've never played, it's a twist on The New York Times' daily Wordle game, in which you have a limited number of attempts to guess a five-letter mystery word. In Quordle, though, you're simultaneously solving four Wordle-style puzzles, and each of your guesses gets applied to the four puzzles simultaneously. Due to the increased difficulty, Quordle grants you nine guesses (12 if you play on 'Chill' mode, or eight if you play on 'Extreme'), rather than Wordle's six. To start, guess a five-letter word. The letters of the word in each of the four quadrants will turn green if they're correct, yellow if you have the right letter in the wrong place, or gray if the letter isn't in that secret word at all. Ready for the hints? Let's go! Can you give me a hint for today's Quordle? Upper left: Yearn or desire. Upper right: Where birds rest. Lower left: Acute or obtuse. Lower right: A deluge. Does today's Quordle have any double or repeated letters? Upper left: No. Upper right: Yes, one double vowel. Lower left: No. Lower right: Yes, one double vowel. What letters do today's Quordle words start with? Upper left: C Upper right: R Lower left: A Lower right: F What letters do today's Quordle words end with? Upper left: E Upper right: T Lower left: E Lower right: D What is the solution to today's Quordle? Upper left: CRAVE Upper right: ROOST Lower left: ANGLE Lower right: FLOOD How I solved today's Quordle I kick things off with SLATE, which is a good start. Maybe it's a different consonant cluster, like FR or DR. DRAPE? Close. CRANE? One off. It's either CRAVE or CRAZE. I'll try CRAVE. Phew. I'll try RHINO now to get some more vowels out of the way. The upper right might be ROOST. Nailed it. Looks like the bottom right has two Os as well. FLOOD? Yep. One to go. If I hadn't already used C, it could be LANCE. ANKLE? Ooh, close. It has to be ANGLE. The best starter words for Quordle What should you play for that first guess? We can look to Wordle for some general guidelines. The best starters tend to contain common letters, to increase the chances of getting yellow and green squares to guide your guessing. (And if you get all grays when guessing common letters, that's still excellent information to help you rule out possibilities.) There isn't a single 'best' starting word, but the New York Times's Wordle analysis bot has suggested starting with one of these: CRANE TRACE SLANT CRATE CARTE Meanwhile, an MIT analysis found that you'll eliminate the most possibilities in the first round by starting with one of these: SALET REAST TRACE CRATE SLATE Other good picks might be ARISE or ROUND. Words like ADIEU and AUDIO get more vowels in play, but you could argue that it's better to start with an emphasis on consonants, using a starter like RENTS or CLAMP. Choose your strategy, and see how it plays out.
