'Let's say I am on vacation, even if it's not true. I'm recovering, but we're talking about July now,' he said.
Atalanta lost back-to-back games against Inter and Fiorentina and are now fighting for a Champions League spot.
'Too bad for the title. The defeat against Inter really had an impact,' admitted Scamacca.
'Nevertheless, it's been a very important season so far. It's normal to drop points sometimes.'
Fiorentina forward Kean has taken centre stage at an international level this term, and Scamacca is happy to see his compatriot's development.
'It's his moment now, and it's right that he enjoys it,' he said.
'I've known him since the youth teams. For me, the important thing is getting back to feeling good again.'

Goalkeeper Caoimhín Kelleher has left Liverpool to join Brentford in a £18m deal. It brings to an end a nine-year stay at the club, with Liverpool receiving an initial £12.5m for Kelleher and add-ons taking the overall fee to £18m. Kelleher is expected to take over as Brentford's first choice goalkeeper following the departure of Dutch international Mark Flekken, who has joined Bayer Leverkusen for around £11m.
