Cowboys' Pickens Creates 'Goodfellas' Nickname For Lamb Pairing
FRISCO - Welcome to the Dallas Cowboys, where the idea of infighting over who gets to be in charge is dead ...
And where sharing and partnership and friendship is a blossoming concept.
For the last two seasons around here, CeeDee Lamb has been the team's No. 1 receiver and has been asked to carry a gigantic load.

A top priority for Dallas this offseason was to find Lamb "an explosive No. 2 receiver'' buddy.
And they've done it ... except that Lamb and newcomer George Pickens refuse to see it quite that way ...
Because they are talking of each of them being No. 1's.
COO Stephen Jones recently raised eyebrows when he said the Cowboys pulled the bold trade for George Pickens because they considered him as a "No. 1 receiver." But now that Lamb has finally spoken out about the deal, Jones appears to have been on the money.
Lamb and Pickens were in Scottsdale, Arizona over the weekend to play in Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray's celebrity softball game, and were in agreement on their roles for 2025.

"We both ones," Lamb said.
Echoed Pickens, "Yeah."
And now Pickens has a nickname for the pairing ...
Pickens has shared a screenshot of the two on his Instagram story with the caption, 'Goodfellas 🤞🏽🥷🏾🥷🏾.'
We will work on the assumption that Pickens has some knowledge of the Martin Scorsese classic gangster film "Goodfellas'' (and if so, good taste!)
Lamb is a four-time Pro Bowl selection who two years ago produced the best receiving season in Cowboys' history with 135 catches for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. Pickens has only 12 touchdowns in his three seasons, but in 2023 led the league in yards per reception at more than 18 yards.

Still ...
"It ain't no A/B, none of that," Lamb said. "You look over there, you see 1. You look over here, you see another 1. So do what you got to do with that."
Quarterback Dak Prescott will still likely look to Lamb in crunch time. Or he'll look at both. And if the buddy vibes continue and result in production?
"Goodfellas'' will stick.

Collier scores 28, McBride hits 6 3-pointers and the Lynx beat the Wings 81-65
Napheesa Collier had 28 points and 10 rebounds, Kayla McBride made six 3-pointers and scored 21 points, and the Minnesota Lynx beat the Dallas Wings 81-65 on Sunday to extend their season-opening win streak to nine games. The Lynx (9-0), who won a WNBA-record 13 consecutive games to open a season in 2016, are off to the fourth-best start in league history. Collier made 10 of 19 from the field, 3 of 6 from 3-point range, and finished with four assists, four steals and three blocks. McBride hit a deep 3-pointer about 2 1/2 minutes into the game to make it 5-2 and the Lynx led the rest of the way. Arike Ogunbowale hit six 3-pointers and led Dallas (1-9) with 26 points and Maddy Siegrist scored 15. Rookie Paige Bueckers (illness) missed her fourth consecutive game. The No. 1 overall selection in April's draft missed the previous three games due the WNBA's concussion protocol but was cleared earlier Sunday. Siegrist made a layup with a second left in the third quarter to cap a 17-4 run that trimmed Dallas' deficit to 57-56 but Collier opened the fourth quarter with a 3-pointer, followed with a mid-range jumper and the Wings got no closer. Natisha Hiedeman hit a 3 with 2:24 to play that pushed Minnesota's lead to 77-62. The Lynx hit 13 pointers, finished with 25 assists on 29 field goals, had 12 steals and committed just six turnovers. The Wings have lost five games in a row. Up next The Lynx play the Storm in Seattle and Dallas hits the road to play at Phoenix on Wednesday.

Celtics-Mavericks Trade Report Surfaces After Cooper Flagg News
Celtics-Mavericks Trade Report Surfaces After Cooper Flagg News originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Boston Celtics recently made headlines when it was reported by Kevin O'Connor of Yahoo Sports that Duke star Cooper Flagg had a pre-draft interview with them. Widely projected to go No. 1 overall to the Dallas Mavericks, Flagg is not expected to be available when Boston picks at No. 28 in the 2025 NBA Draft. Advertisement Because of this, fans began speculating the Celtics could be eyeing a potential blockbuster trade with Dallas for the No. 1 overall pick. Shutting down this speculation last month, Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens confirmed the team met with Flagg, but said trading up for him is not possible (via Zack Cox of Boston Herald). NBA Draft prospect Cooper FlaggDavid Banks-Imagn Images Just weeks after this news that Boston did indeed meet with Flagg, but will not be swinging a deal for him, a new Celtics-Mavericks trade report has surfaced. According to Jay King of The Athletic, Boston and Dallas could very well be trade partners this summer, just not for Flagg. "The Mavericks could make sense as a trade partner for Boston (more on that soon), but not for the top pick," King wrote on Thursday. Advertisement As far as the type of deal these two teams could make, King highlighted All-Defensive guard Jrue Holiday. "With Flagg set to join Anthony Davis in a deep frontcourt, the Mavericks have a chance to field a special defense," he wrote. "Adding Holiday would only turn that group into more of a problem for opponents. Good luck scoring on him with Davis and Flagg behind him." King added, "Making the trade partner an even more logical fit, the Mavericks have a surplus in the frontcourt with Daniel Gafford, Dereck Lively and P.J. Washington competing for minutes, plus some young players such as Max Christie who could appeal to Boston." Report: Nick Chubb is expected to sign with Texans
It appears there's more than mutual interest between running back Nick Chubb and the Texans. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Chubb is expected to sign with Houston if all goes well with his physical. Chubb, 29, played in eight games for the Browns last year after recovering from a season-ending knee injury suffered Week 2 of the 2023 season. He rushed for 332 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 3.3 yards per carry. He caught five passes for 31 yards with a TD before ending the season early due to a broken foot. Though the Texans have Joe Mixon, Dameon Pierce, Woody Marks, and Dare Ogunbowale at running back, both Mixon and Pierce missed games in 2024 due to injury. Chubb was a Browns second-round pick in 2018 and averaged over 5 yards per carry over the first six years of his career. But when Cleveland drafted a pair of running backs this spring, it became clear that the club was ready to move on. Chubb reached the Pro Bowl four times for the Browns and was a second-team All-Pro in 2022.
