AMMAN — The Jordanian Armed Forces- Arab Army (JAF) said it carried out seven humanitarian airdrops over the Gaza Strip on Friday, delivering essential aid including food supplies and infant formula. In a statement on Friday, JAF said the operation, which saw wide international participation, delivered around 57 tonnes of humanitarian cargo to the war-torn Strip. The latest effort brings the total aid dropped into Gaza since the resumption of airdrop operations last week to around 148 tonnes, JAF said. Participating in Friday's mission were two aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force, alongside planes from the United Arab Emirates, Germany (two aircraft), France, and Spain. The joint operation forms part of continuing efforts to provide relief to civilians in Gaza amid worsening humanitarian conditions, the army said. The airdrops come in line with directives from His Majesty King Abdullah to intensify Jordan's humanitarian response and demonstrate solidarity with the Palestinian people, according to the statement. The joint operation also reflects strong cooperation and shared humanitarian values among the participating nations, it added. JAF reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the flow of aid to Gaza through various channels, including direct airdrops and overland convoys. To date, Jordan has conducted a total of 133 individual airdrops over the besieged enclave, with an additional 276 joint operations completed in coordination with allied and friendly countries, JAF said.
