IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 10, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Legends are born of whispers and wild hunches. Just weeks after serving first responders during the L.A. fires, their food truck team loaded up their #1-ranked Double Charburger* and headed east, trading the California coast for the heart of football festivities in search of America's #1 burger fan.
What followed was an epic burger manhunt: diesel engines humming across 1,950 miles of desert highways, roadside diners, and endless possibilities. When the trucks finally rolled into New Orleans, they carried more than food—they carried an obsession to get the #1-ranked burger into the hands of America's #1 burger fan.
From die-hard football fanatics to joyful locals and hard-working police officers and security teams… and even NFL legends like Isaac Rochell and Braxton Berrios, the California-born burger created an unexpected frenzy. The truck team's momentum carried them straight into the Sports Illustrated Party full of VIPs, where they served their free Double Char until 3:30 a.m.

Lettenmair, joined by social creators Michael DiCostanzo, Mackenzie Dimatteo, Alisha Marie, Zane Hijazi, and Almost Andy Reid, took to the streets with unbridled enthusiasm, bullhorn in hand, turning the French Quarter into an impromptu burger festival.
"I've lost my voice, and this bullhorn has officially become an extension of my arm," Lettenmair laughed, "but seeing thousands of people discover the #1 burger in America made it all worth it.'
The burger celebration may have concluded, but Habit Burger & Grill's mission to unite the #1-ranked Double Char with America's #1 burger fan continues.

That really hurt them against the Timberwolves in the first round, but now the Lakers can focus on building a roster around Doncic and LeBron James heading into next season. After playing with James for a few months to end this season, Doncic couldn't believe how intense James' routines actually are. 'I've never played with a guy like this,' Doncic said. 'Being traded to LA, it was different, but just to play with guys like him, it's unbelievable. I can learn so much stuff. Off the court, he does so much stuff just to be ready for the game. Obviously on the court everybody knows what kind of player he is. Advertisement He shows up like 10 hours before the game… I came to the arena and he was already done working out.' Doncic and James unquestionably form one of the best duos in the NBA, but they need some more help around them in order to compete for a championship in the loaded Western Conference. The Lakers were down to just five players that JJ Redick trusted in that first-round series, which is not a sustainable way to make it through multiple rounds in the playoffs. Doncic was also recovering from a calf injury and playing himself into shape over the back half of the season. A full offseason to get ready and get acclimated in Los Angeles should do wonders for him, and he and James should be ready to make some noise in the purple and gold again next season.

Yarbrough's revenge: How a World Series ring inspired his win for the Yankees over the Dodgers
LOS ANGELES — Ryan Yarbrough picked up a dazzling World Series ring from his time with the Los Angeles Dodgers last season. Then he went out and beat them. The New York Yankees starter pitched one-run ball over six innings, struck out a season-high five and blanked the Dodgers' top four hitters in a 7-3 win Sunday night. 'I feel like I'm in a really good place right now and really trying to continue that,' Yarbrough said. 'I'm having a lot of fun.' The 33-year-old left-hander made 44 relief appearances between the Dodgers and Blue Jays last season. The Dodgers designated him for assignment on July 29 and the next day traded him to Toronto. So even though he wasn't around for their World Series victory over the Yankees last fall, Yarbrough earned a ring. He accepted it from Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes on Friday behind home plate during batting practice. 'Trying to keep that a little discreet, especially with where we're at now, but kind of cool to be able to get that,' Yarbrough said. He signed a $2 million, one-year deal with New York in March and is 3-0 with a 2.83 ERA this season. Making his first career start against the Dodgers, Yarbrough recorded 17 swings-and-misses — including seven with his sweeper. The top four hitters in Los Angeles' lineup had produced at least one hit in every game this season. That is, until Shohei Ohtani, Teoscar Hernández, Freddie Freeman and Will Smith combined to go 0 for 14 in the series finale against Yarbrough and the Yankees. New York manager Aaron Boone has called Yarbrough a throwback, noting his 6-foot-5 frame creates a 'funky' angle for hitters. 'He's got a lot of ways to get you out. Just when you think he's slowing you down, slowing you down, he's able to speed you up enough,' Boone said. 'It feels like it's hard to get a bead on him.' It certainly was for Ohtani. He struck out on five pitches ranging from 70-86 mph in the first inning, when Yarbrough retired the side in order. Later, he set down 13 of 15 batters before exiting. 'He's not going to light up the radar gun, but all his pitches feel like they get on you,' teammate DJ LeMahieu said. 'His fastballs look like they get on you and his off-speed looks extra slow. He's got good stuff and he knows what he's doing out there.' Yarbrough conceded his familiarity with his ex-teammates helped, too. 'It was just a matter of execution and keeping them off balance and not putting them in counts where they can really hunt for certain pitches,' he said. It was also a big night for LeMahieu, who had his first four-hit game since 2021. He drove in two runs and raised his batting average to .239. The 'Cruel Summer' hitmaker revealed on Friday (30.05.25) that she had regained control of the rights to all the songs from her early albums, 'Taylor Swift', 'Fearless', 'Speak Now', 'Red', '1989' and 'Reputation', and the 83-year-old singer-songwriter has joined Taylor in celebrating the milestone. Carole shared the announcement on her Instagram Story and over a photo of Taylor raising her hands in celebration, she wrote: 'You continue to inspire! [heart, heart hands and music notes emojis] (sic)" Taylor was furious in 2019 when music manager Scooter Braun bought her former label, Big Machine Records, and her master recordings, which he then sold on to Shamrock Capital in 2020, prompting her to re-record and release 'Taylor's Versions' of 'Fearless', 'Speak Now', 'Red', and '1999'. But on Friday, the 35-year-old pop star shared with fans the news she had reaquired the rights to her records.
