Awkward moment Toni is PIED by Cach after trying to kiss him – as new Love Island triangle forms

A VERY awkward moment occured on Love Island as Toni was pied by Cach after trying to kiss him.
Toni and Cach have had a bit of a bumpy romance so far on the show, hindered by Toni and Harrison's will-they-won't-they situation.

But after Harrison decided to leave the villa, Cach and Toni have grown close once more, with Toni attempting to reignite their spark.
This didn't go too well in tonight's episode, as Cach decided to reject her kiss on the terrace.
Toni invites him to the Hideaway for a private evening discussion, but he's quick to suggest the less intimate setting of the terrace instead.
Once up there, Toni asks Cach: ' You're confused?' to which he replies: 'Yes, I'm confused.'
Toni then suggests she'll clear up some of his confusion, and leans in for a kiss.
But it quickly becomes a move that creates yet more confusion, as Cach rejects her attempts.
The next day, they discuss what happened at the first ever Love Island Festival.
They share another private moment, during which Toni says: 'I'll be alright that you didn't kiss me but it still hurts.'
He replies: 'I didn't kiss you then but that doesn't mean it's going to be a never…'
Emotional moment Love Island star Cach admits he DOES still like Toni
She presses on: 'Where do we go from here, now you denied me my kiss?'
Of course, all the while, Cach has been getting to know Billykiss too, and the pair have shared a kiss already.
Earlier in the series, Love Island fans were left outraged after a recoupling saw Toni sensationally steal back Harrison hours after he slept with Lauren.
Humiliated Cach then broke down in tears following the shock betrayal.
Last night, Toni and Cach spoke on the daybeds, and she teased him for giving her a score of 10 for her kiss during the challenge.
She asked him: "Like, what do you think about me now?"
Cach replied: "Well, obviously I still have feelings for you."
Toni replied: "I was hesitant to speak to you after the Harrison thing because I didn't want you to feel like an option."
Cach sighed and said: "You've made this bare complicated for no reason. I still aint got an answer for you right now. Other that I'm willing to talk to you still. The door is not completely shut."
Cach told her he's still exploring with Billykiss but they haven't had the affectionate or sexual side.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX

AI used to aid Love Island casting process, ITV boss says

Speaking as ITV announced its half-year results, Dame Carolyn McCall said the broadcaster uses AI in many ways. 'We will use AI in any way we can to make what we do more efficient,' she told members of the media. 'And a great example of that for me from (ITV) Studios is they're using a tool where it's a smart editing assistance and it's about speed and quality. 'And they used it for Love Island and casting this year. 'So that productivity gain means that they can go and do other things, which is really, really good.' Love Island has been a huge ratings hit for ITV since its launch in 2015, with each series receiving around 100,000 applications from members of the public. A spokeswoman for ITV later explained that generative AI does not make any decisions during the Love Island casting process, but is used to edit hundreds of hours of footage into highlight reels for members of the team to then watch. 'It simply assists with the editing of audition tapes during the casting period,' she said. 'We get thousands and thousands of applications every year and we hold face to face auditions. 'When we get to the stage of narrowing it down to hundreds of prospective Islanders and we want to share audition highlights on a reel with the ITV commissioning team, to support the casting decision, we use the software (Quickture along with an Adobe editing programme) to edit the hundreds of hours of footage into highlight reels. 'It means that the casting team can then spend more time researching and finding more prospective Islanders.' Announcing its latest results on Thursday, ITV said it had stepped up cost-cutting plans again following a slump in half-year profits. The broadcaster said it was slashing costs by another £15 million, on top of £30 million previously announced, with spend on content being trimmed. The group flagged using technology among efforts to drive the latest round of cost-cutting.

Moment actor who played PC Reg Hollis in The Bill turns real-life crimefighter to foil runaway thief before handing him over to real police

This is the incredible moment the actor who played PC Reg Hollis in The Bill turns into a real-life crimefighter to foil a runaway thief before handing him over to the real police. Footage has captured Jeff Stewart, best known for playing the legendary role of PC Reg Hollis in The Bill, assisting Hampshire police officers in arresting a shoplifter in Southampton on Wednesday, July 23. Two members of the force are initially seen chasing after 29-year-old Mohammed Diallo as he exited a Co-op supermarket in Southampton with his bike. While the thief initially manages to get on his bike, he eventually falls off, with officers quickly tackling him to the ground in a car park as he desperately tries to escape their grip. Then, Mr Stewart, who starred in over 900 episodes of the hit ITV drama from its inception in 1984 until he left in 2008, proceeds to sprint across to assist police with the shoplifter, helping to sit on his legs as officers arrest him. As an officer turns to the Scottish actor to thank him, Mr Stewart, 69, is heard saying in response: 'Well, I was in The Bill for 24 years'. One bewildered officer then replies: 'Amazing! Were you? Can we have a photo with you after?' Following the incident, Hampshire Police praised the quick-thinking assistance of Mr Stewart, with a force spokesman remarking: 'Long since retired from Sun Hill station - but he's still got it!'
