The two Trump's sons appeared at Trump Tower on Monday at a press conference to announce their new service. 'We've partnered with some of the greatest people in the industry to make sure that real Americans can get true value from the mobile carriers,' Trump Jr. said, referring to the current 'lackluster performance' from existing carriers. Trump Jr. said that the organization was moving more into technology for 'people who have been underserved.' The phones will be built in America, a Trump mobile executive confirmed, and call centers would also be based in America. Customers who sign up for the 47 plan will pay $47.45 a month for unlimited talk, texting, and data with 5G service through all three major cellular carriers. Individuals who sign up for the service can bring an existing phone or purchase a new phone. The T1 gold phone will cost $499, according to the website, and feature an American flag etched on the case. The new T1 Gold phone will be available September 2025 The phone will use the Android 15 operating system with a 50 MP camera, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro lens in the back. The front facing 'selfie' camera will be 16MP. The gold T1 phone will be available in September 2025, according to the website. Trump Jr. said the service would also include telemedicine for a flat monthly fee, roadside assistance, and unlimited texting to over a hundred countries. The Trump-branded service is effectively a licensing agreement as a disclaimer on the website announces that the services 'are not designed, developed, manufactured, distributed or sold by The Trump Organization.' 'We're also spending a lot of time in the technology field,' Eric Trump said, referring to the family's lucrative cryptocurrency efforts. 'There is kind of a key to that and that is America.' Published: | Updated: Apple wants you to ditch your car keys. The world's third-largest company announced it's expanding the Apple Wallet car key support to include even more automakers. That means more drivers will soon be able to lock, unlock, and even start their cars directly from their iPhones. And some drivers will be able to ditch their clunky keys and fobs. Apple first launched digital car keys in 2020, but until now, the feature was limited to a handful of high-end vehicles from specific brands. Acura, Chevy, Cadillac, and GMC are joining the lineup in the US, bringing the total number of global partner brands to 13, Apple said on Monday at its Worldwide Developers Conference, or WWDC. Until now, the feature was only in cars produced by luxury automakers like Volvo, Genesis, Rivian, Audi, and BMW — and only in some of their products. Hyundai and Kia were the only budget-friendly options in the original rollout. Apple didn't say exactly when the feature will be available in new cars, only saying the launch was coming 'soon.' A representative didn't immediately respond to request for comment. It's a move that continues Apple's slow but deliberate push into the auto industry. Between 2014 and 2024, the company spent billions attempting to develop an Apple Car, codenamed 'Project Titan .' But after 10 years in the lab, Apple cancelled the project last year . June 16 (Reuters) - The Trump Organization launched a self-branded mobile service and a $499 smartphone on Monday, dubbed Trump Mobile, signaling a new effort to court conservative consumers with a wireless service positioned as an alternative to major telecom providers. The new mobile venture will include call centers based in the United States and phones made in America, the organization said. The Trump family, long known for its real estate empire, luxury hotels, and golf resorts, has in recent years ventured into newer arenas including digital media and cryptocurrency. The Trump Organization, which is the main holding entity for most of the U.S. president's business ventures, said ahead of Trump's inauguration that control of the company would be handed to his children, replicating the arrangement from his first term, though concerns about potential conflicts of interest remain. COMMENTS: "This latest move raises more questions than answers. As always the devil is in the detail given that it is unclear around the actual commercial relationship with the telecom players and so forth. "Inevitably as seen to date, we should expect to see backlash from a slew of stakeholders. "All parties will be keeping a close eye on how this evolves." "Its pointed at Apple, that's a really big downward price pressure on what Apple's trying to do." "There's been kind of an opening for this type of device, if you will, simply because not just Apple, but Samsung devices to a certain extent as well, have really gotten so expensive in the moment in time and we haven't really seen that big of a measurable increase in utility." "Most of the apps that you can download on a smartphone are just like super search kind of functions, if you will. So having that same functionality at half the price, there's a market out there for that." "I think it's going to get probably some extra attention just because it has Trump's name on it but I think the marketplace has been ripe for this type of competition." "Competition is always good for consumers and that benefits markets in general. It's going to drive people to be more productive and compete more for consumers' dollars." "I don't see much impact from Trump mobile across the industry, as half of it's addressable market is negated by political parties, and then from there, this industry already has a lot of stickiness to current providers. These companies need scale to work, and we'll see if the company can execute on the most important thing - consistency of network."
