Is Virtua Fighter 5 REVO cross-platform

Digital Trends12-05-2025
In the pantheon of the best fighting games, Virtua Fighter has fallen out of the spotlight in recent years. Thankfully, the upcoming video game Virtua Fighter 6 is poised to bring the series back to its former glory, but before that, we got a new version of the previous latest entry called Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. While it isn't quite a remake, this latest version is the definitive way to play this technical fighter. That said, the audience for this series is still smaller than most, so your ability to get online matches might be a concern. If you're curious whether or not this new version was given cross-platform support to increase the pool of players you can compete against, we'll give you the full breakdown.
Is Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O cross-platform?
The answer to whether or not Virtua Fighter 5 is cross-platform is two-fold. As of the time of this writing, no, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O has no cross-platform functionality, but that is because the game is currently only available on PC. That said, during the Virtua Fighter Spring Direct, we learned that not only is the game finally coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Switch 2, but it will launch with full crossplay support between all platforms. The official statement from Project Producer Seiji Aoiki reads: 'I know we've kept you waiting, our Steam release Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. is finally coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2! Since Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.'s launch, we've heard your requests for multiplatform support via the official Virtua Fighter Discord and other channels. We on the development team want to give users on all platforms the opportunity to enjoy Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O., so we are happy to bring you this announcement. Also, in bringing this title to multiple platforms, we're planning to include cross-play support. And to make your cross-play experience even smoother, the rollback functionality used in the Steam version will be supported on all platforms. We're going to include even more content to make this much more than a simple port, which we'll tell you about in future updates.'

The only thing left up in the air is when the game will hit consoles. No release date was given, but as soon as the game does come to these additional platforms, we at least know crossplay will be there.

‘Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion' Gets Some Nice Character Trailers

With the release of Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion looming, we've now been graced with some new character trailers. Specifically, we have two trailers covering the main factions in the game: the Reclaimers and the Neun. The Reclaimers are ostensibly the good guys and are trying to save humanity from the ravaging force of Femto and the subsequent 'Immortals' that roam the shattered landscape. The Neun are the Femto mutated baddies, who think humanity is an evolutionary dead-end and should be eradicated. So the characterization this time around is at least better than the almost incoherent narrative from the first game. Many of the Reclaimers also have fun personalities, with even a robot kid thrown in for good measure as a nod to Astro Boy. FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder The Neun are your bosses, with excessively potent abilities and superiority complexes to match. The characters this time around are also penned by Kimihiko Fujisaka, which gives the game a more artsy role-playing feel, which fits with the whole new open world setup that's been shown. Anyway, the more I see of Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion, the happier I am, as I think this will be a real gem of a game on release. Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion will be released on September 5 for Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. In the meantime, feel free to check out my interview with the game's producer, Kenichiro Tsukuda. Follow me on X, Facebook and YouTube. You can pivot this wireless smartphone power bank to charge an Apple Watch, too

If you're firmly in the Apple hardware ecosystem, Kuxiu's K1 wireless power bank could be more useful to you than other portable MagSafe batteries. You can stick it to the back of your iPhone to keep it charged when you don't have access to power, but rotating the K1 90 degrees reveals a second built-in wireless charger so you can simultaneously charge an Apple Watch or AirPods with a charging case that supports that feature. The K1 3-in-1 MagSafe Wireless Power Bank is currently available from Kuxiu's website in a 5,000mAh version that's discounted from $99.99 to $57.99, or a slightly thicker but more capacious 10,000mAh version that's discounted from $109.99 to $67.99. It can charge a MagSafe-compatible iPhone at 15W speeds (the iPhone 16 lineup can wirelessly charge at 25W using Apple's latest MagSafe charger) while the Apple Watch and AirPods charge at 5W. If you're in a rush, the K1 also includes a USB-C port that can deliver 20W of power to your phone, earbuds, or any device that can be powered up with a USB-C cable. On the back you'll also find a pop-out kickstand so the power bank can prop up your devices while they charge, and while it features a ring of 16 strong magnets to hold it securely to your iPhone, Kuxiu recommends avoiding thick phone cases and sticking to MagSafe-compatible options to reduce the risk of the K1 falling off.
