Mumbai Indians Punishes Late-Commers Tilak Varma, Will Jacks, Make Them Turn Up In Hilarious Costumes
Mumbai Indians punished Tilak Varma, Will Jacks, and Raj Angad Bawa for being late by making them wear MI-themed superhero costumes. They posed sportingly, and MI shared a video with a funny caption.
Mumbai Indians (MI) punished their star players Tilak Varma, Will Jacks and Raj Angad Bawa for apparently turning up late by asking them to wear unique MI-themed superhero costumes with capes. All three players seemed to take it up quite sportingly, though, posing for the camera and being happy with audiences clicking their photos, while also involving other teammates, including Suryakumar Yadav.
This happened last year, too, when Ishan Kishan got late for a meeting and had to wear the embarrassing suit.
In the ongoing season, MI are coming off arguably their best match of IPL 2025. They beat Chennai Super Kings by nine wickets at the Wankhede Stadium, chasing 177 in less than 16 overs, to jump to number six in the points table and earn a huge boost to their NRR.
It was their third win in a row, set up by former skipper Rohit Sharma (76 not out) and Suryakumar Yadav (68 not out), who tore apart Chennai Super Kings.
Chasing a below-par target, the hosts faced absolutely no difficulties on a batting-friendly surface in swatting away the challenge as they went over the line making 177 for one to win by more than four overs to spare, and take a leap to sixth spot in the points table.

Rohit capitalised on anything short from the pacers in the powerplay and swept with command against the CSK spinners to notch up his maiden fifty of the season, which came off 33 balls.

On a six-hitting spree, Rohit finished at 76 not out off 45 balls with four fours and six hits over the fence.
Suryakumar (68 off 30 balls, 5x4s, 6x6s) produced the most fluent knock in this season with the No. 3 batter being immaculate in clearing the leg-side boundaries as well as with his compelling sweep shots against the spinners.

Ex-India Star Reveals His Daughter Refused To Greet Harbhajan Singh. Reason Is...
Former India pacer S Sreesanth has revealed that his daughter once refused to greet legendary spinner Harbhajan Singh. In 2008, after an Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) and Mumbai Indians, Harbhajan and Sreesanth had gotten into a physical altercation, which resulted in the former slapping the latter. Several pictures had circulated on social media where Sreesanth was seen crying after the incident. While the two, since then, have buried aside their differences, Sreesanth suggested the incident left a major impact on her daughter. Sreesanth also admitted that Harbhajan didn't him intentionally that evening. "When I told my daughter, 'This is Bhajji pa, he's played with me', she straight away said, 'No, no, I won't say hi'. I couldn't understand why. In school, there may have been the odd conversation about it. There are different stories doing the rounds. Then we tried explaining, but she said she still won't talk to him. The next day, when the legends tournament was going on, we explained that he was like our elder brother. I don't think Bhajji pa did that deliberately. It happened in the spur of the moment. It was just a learning experience for both of us," Sreesanth told cricket commentator Padamjeet Sehrawat on his YouTube channel. "One thing I'd want to change in my life is that incident with Sreesanth. I want to remove that incident from my career. That is the incident I would change from my list. What transpired was wrong and I shouldn't have done what I did. I apologised 200 times. What I felt so bad was even years after that incident, I have been apologising every opportunity or stage I get. It was a mistake," said Harbhajan on Kutti Stories with Ash.
