HONNE at Bangkok's True Icon Hall: start time, tickets, potential setlist and all you need to know

HONNE at Bangkok's True Icon Hall: start time, tickets, potential setlist and all you need to know

Time Out13-06-2025
HONNE's music has always lived somewhere between a late-night phone call and the tail end of a long drive – comforting, a bit bittersweet, slightly blurred at the edges. On July 27 the British electro-soul duo – best known for hits like 'Day 1,' 'Location Unknown' and 'No Song Without You' – return to Bangkok, a city they've long held a quiet affection for, as part of The OUCH Tour. The venue is True Icon Hall, a cavernous space tucked inside Iconsiam 's polished seventh floor.
Their return isn't without drama. The initial flicker of excitement arrived not from a press release or even a teaser video, but from a poster – illustrated in syrupy pastel tones, featuring their OUCH Boy mascot cradling a plate of mango sticky rice. A love letter in carbohydrates, if you will. It's absurd, and kind of moving.
This time around, HONNE won't be alone on stage. BOWKYLION, Thailand's melancholic pop heroine, joins them for the night – her voice the sonic equivalent of a cracked mirror or a sigh you didn't mean to let slip.
Now, if their tracks already live among your favourites or you're simply curious, take this as your signal to save the date – here's what to keep in mind before the evening begins.

Thursday Murder Club's Helen Mirren 'offended' crew by going off script with one word

The Thursday Murder Club stars a whole host of unforgettable actors from this side of the world, including the likes of Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. The Thursday Murder Club director shared how Hollywood icon Helen Mirren was able to offend its filming crew with just one word. ‌ Richard Osman 's The Thursday Murder Club has made its cinematic debut on Friday, August 22, bringing to life his eagerly anticipated best-selling 2020 novel. ‌ A plethora of stars quickly signed up for the film with Helen Mirren, Pierce Brosnan, Ben Kingsley and Celia Imrie leading its impressive cast. ‌ But during The Thursday Murder Club: An Evening with Richard Osman at The British Library, American director Chris Columbus shared an issue that was experienced on set. He elaborated: "There were a few Netflix executives who said, 'This is too British, we don't know what they are talking about'.' 'One of the things we got by the sensors was Pierce one day ad-libbed a word. 'He called someone a 'Plonker'. I yelled 'cut' and I said 'what is a plonker?' and he explained it to me and I thought 'That is fantastic, that has to stay in the film'. 'I'd heard the phrase 'w*****' before but there were a couple of people on the crew when Helen said it. It was not scripted. ‌ 'She said 'most of the police are w******' and people were offended on set. "How could Elizabeth say that word? And I thought, that means it's staying in the film. I embraced that, I really did." ‌ Osman's The Thursday Murder Club is the first in a series of books, followed by The Man Who Died Twice, The Bullet That Missed and The Last Devil To Die. His fifth book, The Impossible Fortune, is also on the way, with its publishing date set for Monday, September 22. As of yet, there has been no official confirmation that the franchise will return for a sequel film based on Osman's work. However, Columbus has previously teased that there are already plans in the works for its return, telling Film Stories: 'If we're lucky enough, and all signs seem to point in that direction that we will be shooting a sequel or the next chapter – in the second movie.' The Thursday Murder Club premieres on Friday, August 22, in cinemas and on Thursday, August 28, on Netflix.

Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz set tongues wagging at US Open as coach reveals what's really going on

Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz set tongues wagging at US Open as coach reveals what's really going on The two tennis stars teamed up to take on Jack Draper and Jessica Pegula in New York Raducanu and Alcaraz were all smiles despite their defeat Emma Raducanu and Carlos Alcaraz were all smiles despite crashing out of this year's US Open mixed doubles event in the opening round, with their friendly display on court setting tongues wagging yet again. ‌ The duo came up against British star Jack Draper and his partner Jessica Pegula in the first round of the revamped competition, with Alcaraz facing a rapid turnaround to be in New York to take part, having won the Cincinatti Open less than 24 hours earlier. However, he and Raducanu were ultimately beaten 4-2, 4-2 by Draper and Pegula. ‌ Despite the result, however, the pair were certainly in high spirits and looked delighted to be sharing each other's company on the court, with 22-year-old Raducanu beaming after almost every point. ‌ Alcaraz and Raducanu were seen giggling their way through breaks, while they shared a warm embrace at the end of the match. The display has seen more questions asked about the nature of their relationship, with much made of their partnership heading into the US Open, given the rumours of a potential romance between the two stars. Those rumours began to circulate after Raducanu was spotted in the stands at Centre Court, cheering on Alcaraz as he secured his second successive Wimbledon title last year. Article continues below They gathered pace earlier this summer as the British ace was again seen supporting Alcaraz as he won the men's singles event at Queen's, while reports later emerged that the Spanish star had visited her at her hotel during the tournament. However, both players have played down suggestions of their relationship being anything more than platonic, with Raducanu telling reporters at Wimbledon that they are "just good friends". The pair laughed together as they took a break ‌ Now, the current British No.1's former coach Mark Petchey has given the same verdict as he weighed in on the rumours surrounding the two 22-year-olds. 'They are just good friends," he told OLBG. "She's good friends with a lot of people out there on the tour. The media is going to be the media. 'Obviously, I know there's suggestions that they are going out. That's not the case. They're just good friends. The reality is they're only there to play tennis.' ‌ As well as Alcaraz, Raducanu has also been linked to long-time friend Draper, as well as Brooklyn Beckham and former tennis prodigy Benjamin Heynold. She split up with her former boyfriend Carlo Agostinelli - a budding footballer and the son of billionaire financier Robert Agostinelli - last year. Meanwhile, Alcaraz has also been the subject of romance rumours linking him to sports marketing and law graduate Maria Gonzalez Gimenez and Spanish singer Ana Mena. Article continues below However, the five-time Grand Slam winner has since confirmed his relationship status, telling the Molusco TV podcast: "I'm single, but I'm looking for someone. It can be difficult for a tennis player to meet the right person, because they are always on the move. Who knows what will happen this year." "No commitments for now, I'm single," he added. "I've laughed several times with people close to me, when I discovered that three or four players got engaged during the winter break. "I thought it would be my turn, but not yet. It's complicated to never stay in the same place, it's difficult to find the person who can share things with you if you're always in different parts of the world."

ITV Good Morning Britain fans make same complaint as they brand show 'unwatchable'

More info Get the latest Edinburgh Live breaking news on WhatsApp Good Morning Britain viewers lodged identical complaints as they declared the programme "unwatchable". Throughout Wednesday's (August 20) instalment of the ITV show, presenters Adil Ray and Kate Garraway brought audiences the latest developments from Britain and internationally. Sean Fletcher was also present in the studio to deliver additional daily news coverage, whilst Laura Tobin provided regular meteorological updates. Kate and Adil informed audiences about asylum seekers confronting hotel evictions, and the additional service charges accompanying pub purchases. They also encountered a mother advocating for stricter young driver regulations following her 17 year old son's death alongside three teenage companions in a tragic road accident, reports the Mirror. Nevertheless, programme audiences quickly grew exasperated with the presenter selection and a passionate discussion regarding the government's asylum accommodation proposals. "I can usually watch this but this is just unwatchable," one person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), with another adding: "45 minutes of ITV nonsense." A third said: "Goodness, the show is a tough listen these days," with a fourth viewer similarly sharing: "Kate and Adil, thanks for the heads up, time to turn over. No chance." A fifth fan echoed the sentiment, saying: "GMB is so out of touch with the views of the British public, that's why GMB is sinking quicker than the Titanic." The development follows ITV audiences "switching off" mere minutes into GMB earlier this week. Adil made his comeback to the programme following a lengthy absence, with numerous viewers expressing their annoyance. The Citizen Khan actor also engaged in a heated exchange with Joey Essex after delivering several harsh criticisms of the reality personality. Adil memorably branded Joey a "baked bean" prior to his forthcoming boxing match, before questioning the financial compensation he'd earn for participating in the bout. Viewers rapidly flocked to social media to voice their unease, with one individual posting: "I've just watched the worst interview ever recorded on TV. Adil Ray trying to be funny and belittling Joey Essex. Cringe."
