New Delhi [India], July 8 (ANI): IndiGo flight 6E 7295, scheduled to travel from Indore (IDR) to Raipur (RPR) on Tuesday, experienced a tense morning. After the takeoff, the aircraft faced a mid-air technical issue, prompting it to land immediately.
The flight was scheduled to depart at 06:35 AM but took off slightly ahead of time at 06:28 AM, and was scheduled to arrive at 8:30 AM in Raipur. However, it was diverted to Indore, as per Flightradar24.
According to sources, 'IndiGo flight 6E 7295 from Indore to Raipur returned mid-air due to a technical snag shortly after take-off today. The pilot requested a priority landing back at Indore. All passengers safely disembarked. The flight was cancelled and passengers were given a full refund or alternate flight options.
Shortly after take-off, the pilot detected a technical snag and decided to turn the aircraft around. Air Traffic Control at Indore Airport granted priority landing, ensuring the aircraft landed safely without incident.

The Ministry of Railways has announced an experimental 'Round Trip Package for Festival Rush' scheme aimed at easing passenger congestion and ensuring smoother travel during the upcoming festive season. As per a Railway Board circular issued on August 8, 2025, the scheme offers a 20 per cent rebate on the base fare of the return journey for passengers booking confirmed tickets for both onward and return travel for the same set of passengers, class, and origin-destination pair. The initiative proposes to redistribute crowding, facilitate hassle-free bookings, and enhance the utilisation of train services, including special trains, in both directions. According to the news agency ANI report, bookings will open on August 14, 2025, for onward journeys scheduled between October 13 and October 26, 2025, under the scheme. The corresponding return journey must be booked using the connecting journey feature for travel between November 17 and December 1, 2025. Advance reservation period norms will not apply to the return journey booking. The scheme will be valid across all classes and trains, except those operating with flexi-fare pricing, and will only apply to confirmed tickets. It is to be noted that both onward and return journey tickets must be booked using the same mode, either Internet (online) booking or counter booking at reservation offices. No additional fare collection will be performed if any arise during charting for these PNRs. No fare refund is permissible for tickets booked under this scheme. The scheme applies to all classes and trains, including special trains (on demand), except for trains with Flexi fare. It also does not allow any modifications or additional concessions to be permitted. The offer excludes the use of rail travel coupons, vouchers, passes, and PTOs for the discounted return trip. The Railway Board has directed zonal railways to ensure wide publicity through the press, media, and station announcements to inform passengers about the scheme.

Turkey's Sindirgi hit by 6.1 magnitude quake; 10 buildings collapse, no deaths reported
ANKARA: A 6.1-magnitude quake struck Sindirgi in western Turkey on Sunday, the Turkish disaster management agency (AFAD) reported. The quake was felt across several cities in the west of the country, including Istanbul and the tourist hotspot of Izmir. No deaths were reported. About 10 buildings collapsed in Sindirgi, the epicentre of the earthquake, including a three-storey building in the city centre, Mayor Serkan Sak announced on Turkish private channel NTV. "Six people lived in this three-storey building. Four were rescued from the rubble," he said, adding that efforts to extract the other two were underway. "Buildings and mosques were destroyed, but we have no reports of loss of life," he added. The quake hit at 7:53 pm (1653 GMT), with aftershocks ranging from 3.5 to 4.6 magnitude, according to AFAD. Turkey is crisscrossed by several geological fault lines which have previously caused catastrophes in the country. A quake in February 2023 in the southwest killed at least 53,000 people and devastated Antakya, site of the ancient city of Antioch. At the beginning of July, a 5.8-magnitude tremor in the same region resulted in one death and injured 69 people.
