Attorney for Fat Joe's former hype man accused of hitting man delivering legal documents with his vehicle

An attorney representing the former hype man of rapper Fat Joe has been arrested and accused of hitting a man with his car who was delivering legal documents in the latest installment of a messy legal saga.
Attorney Tyrone Blackburn, who is representing Terrance 'T.A.' Dixon in the case against the rapper, was served with a legal complaint from Fat Joe's team on May 12 in New York. He's accused of putting his car in reverse and hitting the 66-year-old process server in the leg, according to TMZ.
The New York Police Department confirmed Blackburn was taken into custody Wednesday morning and booked for assault after the process server went to the police.
Blackburn is representing Dixon in seeking $20 million in damages from Fat Joe, born Joseph Antonio Cartagena, accusing the rapper of engaging in 'coercive labor exploitation, financial fraud, sexual manipulation, violent intimidation, and psychological coercion.'
Fat Joe denies the allegations and hit back against the lawsuit with his own, alleging extortion, defamation, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. These were reportedly the documents being served to Blackburn when the alleged assault took place.
The Independent has contacted Blackburn for comment.
Fat Joe's attorney, Joe Tacopina, told Vibe that Blackburn's arrest 'is not a surprise at all.'
'Normally, a lawyer getting arrested would be sort of shocking. Here, it's not shocking at all, because it's just the latest example of his conduct,' Tacopina said. 'His malicious, manipulative conduct — or misconduct — that's what I'll call it … he's an embarrassment to the legal community, he really is.'
Blackburn's arrest is the latest incident that stems from the complex legal fight between Dixon and Fat Joe.
Dixon served as Fat Joe's hype man for 16 years, energizing the crowd before and during performances.
In his $20 million lawsuit against Fat Joe, Dixon alleged the rapper forced him 'into humiliating situations, including sex acts performed under duress and surveillance, accompanied by threats of abandonment in foreign countries if [he] refused compliance.' Dixon further alleged 'he was coerced into more than 4,000 sexual acts to maintain his standing within the Enterprise.'
The lawsuit also alleged that Dixon 'personally witnessed [Fat Joe] engage in sexual relations with children who were 15 and 16 years old,' which the rapper denies.
'Fat Joe is Sean Combs minus the Tusi,' Blackburn previously told The Independent. 'He learned nothing from his 2013 federal conviction,' Blackburn continued, referring to Fat Joe's four months behind bars for failing to file income tax returns.
Fat Joe's lawyer told The Independent the claims from Dixon and Blackburn are 'a desperate attempt to deflect attention from the civil suit we filed first, which exposed their coordinated scheme to extort Mr. Cartagena through lies, threats, and manufactured allegations.'
Tacopina also said that Blackburn is the subject of a pending referral to the Southern District's disciplinary committee. 'Law enforcement is aware of the extortionate demand at the heart of this scheme,' he said.

Heather Rae El Moussa displays her defined abs with post-baby body confession... after husband Tarek's scuffle

She welcomed her first child over two years ago. Now Selling Sunset alum Heather Rae El Moussa is sharing the secrets behind her svelte post-baby body. In a video uploaded to her Instagram, the HGTV star showcased her sculpted abs - but assured followers she 'doesn't always look like this.' Heather, clad in a tan sports bra and rolled down pink sweatpants, showcased her defined torso as the toddler she shares with husband Tarek El Moussa, Tristan, padded about in the background amongst his toys. Soundtracked to the infamous 'I'm a mommy' quip from Love Island, Heather, 37, swayed her hips from side to side. In the caption, Heather opened up about how becoming a mom changed her fixation with dieting and working out. 'Ladies I want to say I don't always look like this. Some days I'm bloated AF & feel like I'm carrying extra weight... Some days I feel lean and toned. I fluctuate mentally and physically,' she said. 'I use to be addicted to working out, I did mainly cardio and had NO carbs, like zero. Then I had Tristan and my whole mentality shifted. 'As a mom my priorities are different. 'Now I workout when I can (normally 3-4 days a week.) I listen to my body. If I'm not feeling 100%, I rest and focus on healing. I struggled (still do) with a thyroid disease. I've added in the correct supplements, and a night time wind-down routine to calm my body so I wake up in the AM feeling my best to conquer, or try to conquer, another day. 'My point is, I listen to MY body I do what makes ME feel good. Remember a new day is a new start!' She compiled a list of supplements, workouts, and other products that have helped her feeling 'good', which included magnesium water, detox capsules by celebrity trainer Paulina Hefferan, weight lifting, and measures for quality sleep. Heather and Tarek welcomed baby Tristan in January 2023, less than two years after tying the knot at the Rosewood Miramar Beach hotel in Montecito. In addition to little Tristan, Tarek also shares daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, nine, with his first wife Christina Haack. Christina and Tarek shot to fame together on the HGTV home renovation program Flip Or Flop, which they continued hosting even after their split. The exes are now amicable in the years since their split and recently joined forces again, competing against one another in the HGTV show The Flip Off alongside Heather. While things are all peaceful on the personal front, recently Tarek was embroiled in legal woes following a scuffle with another man in Sin City. Earlier this month Tarek was arrested in Las Vegas following an altercation at The Palazzo at the Venetian hotel. According to reports, the incident began when a man allegedly bumped into El Moussa's father and made a comment, prompting El Moussa to allegedly assault him.

Gen Z show off military-inspired outfits 'in case they get drafted' for WWIII

Tensions are rising on the world stage and Generation Z is preparing for the worst to happen by getting fashion-ready. As the globe watches in fear as nations feud, the younger generations have chosen what their outfits would look like if they get drafted for WWIII. One U.S. woman, Avery, shared a selection of three outfits on her TikTok channel that she would wear in case of a global conflict. She captioned the video: 'First war, [I'm] kind of nervous.' Her followers took to the comment section to show support for her attire. 'Our generation has to be studied,' one said. Another wrote: 'Get ready with me to flirt with the enemy.' A third added: 'We're such an unserious generation. I love it. PS you look so good.' Avery is by no means the only one preparing for an all-out war, with content creator Paulina, from New York, also sharing a selection of outfits with her followers. One of Paulina's outfits, which she called 'Distracting the enemy', comprised of a camo bikini paired with sunglasses, a shawl, and a pair of headphones. 'WWIII outfit ideas': American content creator Alanna shared some style suggestions for war, which included high-heeled boots Another, dubbed 'Combat baddie', included a camo army jacket, a pair of microshorts, and an off-the-shoulder brown top. Her third and final outfit was for 'Hanging in the Barracks' and included a pair of low-slung camo pants, a crop top, and a slouchy shoulder bag. Elsewhere, Alanna, from New Jersey, spent time planning her outfits on fashion software. She sorted almost ten outfits in total, which included high-heeled shoes, lingerie, and Nike sneakers. American influencer Apson leaned into army uniform more than others and added a helmet and torn clothes to his suggestions. 'First world war for many of us - here are some outfit tips,' Apson, who has nearly two million TikTok followers, said in the caption. One other TikToker shared four outfit suggestions for various occasions, ranging from 'sneaking through abandoned cities', 'getting secret intel from officers', and 'Camo for hiding in battle'. Meanwhile, influencer Tay McComish ditched planning her outfits and instead joked that if WWIII broke out while she had her AirPods, she would spend time dancing rather than focusing on combat. And it's not just Gen Zers. Prada has also leaned into 'military chic', The Guardian wrote, with their khaki menswear collection offering 'simplicity in turbulent times'.

Boston University hit by more sexual harassment claims just weeks after Alex Cooper's allegations

A second ex-Boston University women's soccer coach has been accused of sexual harassment just weeks after Alex Cooper's bombshell claims were made public. Cooper, who played at the school from 2013-15, made shock allegations against longtime head coach Nancy Feldman in her newly-released Hulu documentary, 'Call Me Alex', earlier this month. The Call Her Daddy podcast host described the harassment as 'extremely painful' and claims it has had 'lasting effects' on her to this day, while she also alleges that her concerns were dismissed by school officials. And according to the Boston Globe, Feldman's former assistant coach Casey Brown is facing similar accusations from soccer player Shayla Brown. Shayla, who was also a student-athlete at the university, reportedly contacted the confidential ethics hotline about Brown on September 14, 2024, before discussing another player's alleged ordeal with the team's sports psychologist four days later. 'The coach, she said, was acting inappropriately toward one of BU's key players, focusing excessively on her and trying to manipulate her in ways that were distressing to the player and her teammates,' the Boston Globe noted. 'This was not a case of a coach coddling a prized player, Shayla Brown said. Her teammate was 'being groomed,' she told the psychologist.' The next day Shayla and 17 other BU women's soccer players are said to have taken their claims to the school's Equal Opportunity Office. They reportedly noted that one of their teammates, who asked not to be identified, also shared her own experience with school officials after alleging that she too had been targeted. 'She recalled navigating a stream of awkward texts, unsettling invitations and unwanted attention,' the report claims. After succeeding Feldman as head coach in 2022, Brown stepped down from her position in December after Boston University launched an investigation into the complaints, despite the school claiming the probe found 'there were no BU policy violations and no evidence of sexual harassment.' 'I firmly object to the attack on my character and the way my conduct has been portrayed,' Brown also said. 'The examples used against me are selective, out of context, and open to interpretation, yet they're being presented as fact. I reject that and I question why, despite a clear investigative outcome, these claims are still being amplified. 'I stand by my record and the values that shape my work as a coach.' has reached out to Boston University for comment. Following her astonishing claims, TMZ Sports reported earlier this month that several ex-BU women's players insist their interactions with Feldman were drastically different to Cooper's. A letter from a representative of BU Women's Soccer alumni, which was signed by 99 former Terriers stars, stated that while they do not want to 'diminish or discredit anyone's individual experience,' they felt obliged to share their own experiences as a 'united group.' The group claimed in the letter that they 'categorically never felt unsafe' under Feldman's leadership, before adding: 'We were never at risk of or witness to inappropriate behavior or anything that could be characterized as sexual harassment. 'As a leader, she approached every day with professionalism, making decisions in service of the success of the team.' Players spanning several decades reportedly signed the letter, which added that Feldman's influence didn't end after their collegiate careers. 'She has remained an important part of our lives, and we shall stand by her,' they said.
