Cheap Fire TV Stick hack that allows users to access Sky channels legally

Cheap Fire TV Stick hack that allows users to access Sky channels legally

Daily Record8 hours ago

Fire TV Stick users will be able to watch top Sky channels without having to pay for a full TV package.
Many people love the Fire TV Stick as it is a compact and affordable way for users to watch all their favourite shows from a variety of streaming services. While it is well known that this device allows users to access apps such as Disney+, Prime Video and Netflix - just to name a few - users can now boost their viewing experience.
For those who enjoy their Sky channels but don't want to pay for a full TV package - with the cheapest currently costing £15 per month - Amazon has just announced that they have launched a new deal that allows users to access a variety of Sky services for a cheaper price.
All Fire TV Stick users need to do is launch the Sky's NOW app on their device and sign up. For only £6.99 per month, users will have full access to channels such as Sky Atlantic, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky Max and Sky Comedy, reports the Express.
This NOW Entertainment deal is currently going for a reduced price as it usually retails for £9.99 per month. While saving shoppers £3 a month - and around £8 in comparison to Sky's cheapest TV deal - users will have access to the reduced membership price for six months and have the option to cancel at any time.
However, while this deal looks enticing, it should be noted that there are a couple of catches. One of which is that you will need to be a member of NOW.
On top of this, Fire TV Stick users will need to be quick to snap up the reduced price as it is set to end on June 20, meaning the price will shoot back up at the end of this week.
Amazon confirmed: "You pay £6.99 a month for 6 months of Entertainment Membership instead of the usual selling price of £9.99 a month."
The added bonus of this deal is that it is a completely legal way to pay and watch Sky content. For those who are enticed by this cracking Sky deal or are looking to upgrade their old Fire TV Stick for a newer model, Amazon is currently selling the Fire TV Stick 4K for £59.99.
This is the most popular device in the range, with nearly 19,000 ratings, as it delivers vibrant 4K Ultra HD streaming with support from Dolby Vision and Atmos audio.
Alternatively, for those looking for something on the cheaper side, Amazon is also selling the Fire TV Stick HD for £39.99. While the resolution is slightly lower at Full HD, this device still provides users with access to all their favourite streaming services, as well as live TV, through an Alexa Voice remote.
The limited-time Sky offering on Fire TV Sticks means users can watch the latest shows without putting their personal data at risk by using 'dodgy streams'. It isn't a secret that millions of people do try and bypass membership prices to watch their favourite shows and services.
For example, some people are buying Fire TV Sticks that feature pre-loaded apps that are said to allow their users full access to a variety of channels without having to spend money monthly on official contracts.
While it may be an enticing idea, it is highly illegal and comes with the tidal wave of other issues. These devices can put your home at risk of downloading dangerous malware, as well as showing inappropriate content that hasn't been blocked by parental controls.
FACT CEO Kieron Sharp said: "We strongly advise anyone involved in these activities to stop immediately. If you're supplying or using illicit streaming devices or illegal IPTV subscriptions, take this as a clear warning: you are breaking the law and risk facing serious consequences."
According to National Trading Standards, at the beginning of the year a man from Halifax was sentenced to two years in prison after he was caught selling modified Fire TV Sticks that infringed on copyright laws.
While users who want to access Amazon's latest deal will need to pay a monthly fee, this extra couple of pounds out of your account each month will mean you will be able to boost your viewing experience in a safe way that is still cheaper than Sky's current deals.

‘Brilliant' fan that keeps homes cool in the heatwave slashed from £150 to £40

With another heatwave imminent, now is the ideal time to get your hands on a fan to help bring the temperature down in your home, and Wowcher has just slashed one from £150 to £40 It seems us Brits are finally getting our long-awaited summer weather, with the temperatures set to soar above 30 degrees over the next few weeks. Whilst that's good news if you're planning on being outdoors or love the heat, it can also be a nightmare when it comes to keeping your home cool and comfortable. A fan is the go-to way for most of us to keep the heat at bay at home, and Wowcher just dropped a deal that's too good to miss. The 80W Black Oscillating Air Cooler Unit with Remote Control is currently available for £39, rather than its usual price of £149.99 – saving you a massive £110. As well as being a bargain price, the Air Cooler Unit is also the perfect handy addition to your home to help keep you cool and comfortable during the summer heatwave. It features three different speed settings and has an automatic oscillation, which ensures the cool air reaches every corner of your space. It also has one additional feature that most regular home fans don't – a water tank. This helps create extra cold air without drying out your environment, ensuring it acts more like air conditioning than a standard fan, and the large four litre capacity means it can operate for longer without needing a refill. According to Wowcher it also operates at a quiet level, so you can keep it running without disturbing your sleep or needing to constantly turn your TV or music up. It's sleek design also means it'll slot effortlessly into most home decors, and you can choose from either black or white colourways. The Air Cooler Unit currently only has one review on Amazon, with someone giving it a five star rating and writing: 'Nice compact and works brilliantly. A lot better than another brand I purchased last year for more than double the price.' As with anything bought on Wowcher you'll need to be quick to nab the fan at its current price, and there are additional postage and packing fees on top of it. However if you don't want to wait for it to arrive and need something quickly, Amazon Prime customers can get their cooling fans delivered with free next day delivery. The Midea SmartAir Fast Chill Tower with 5L Water Tank is currently on sale on Amazon down from £119.99 to £99.99 and functions in a similar way to Wowcher's air cooling unit. It features a five litre water tank, with three speeds and an oscillating feature. Amazon's 'amazing' tower fan runs quietly enough 'to sleep with it on' now reduced

With summer coming up and Wales set to see the temperatures rise, many consumers are on the hunt for cost-effective fans to keep them cool. A tower fan is an efficient and budget-friendly solution that offers consistent airflow while saving space. A clever device from Amazon has been lauded for its quiet operation. With four modes - normal, natural, sleep and auto – and four fan speeds, the Dreo 25dB Silent Tower Fan provides much needed respite from stuffy rooms. The Dreo 25dB Silent Tower Fan boasts an acoustically engineered airflow system that minimises noise to cool the air without disturbing your sleep. Currently on offer with a 15% discount at Amazon, the tower fan's price has been slashed from £89.99 to £76.49. This 42-inch bladeless electric fan delivers powerful airflow and utilises 90 wide-angle oscillation to help cool the entire room. It also features a large LED display that shows room temperature, fan speed, mode and timer settings. For money-saving tips, sign up to our Money newsletter here Users can adjust all settings using the control panel or remote. When Sleep mode is activated, the display automatically switches off after 20 seconds to minimise light and promote better rest, reports Devon Live. Sleep mode also silences the fan's sounds and dims the display after 15 seconds to create a quieter, more tranquil environment. The fan is designed to be energy-efficient, circulating air effectively while consuming less power. For those seeking similar tower fans, the Dyson Cool AM07 Tower Fan could be a consideration. Priced at £269.99, it is significantly pricier but offers bladeless airflow and a unique design. Alternatively, consider the Shark FlexBreeze Pro Mist Indoor and Outdoor Fan (model FA300UK), which is now reduced from £249.99 to £219.99 and boasts an integrated misting system suited for both indoors and alfresco areas. Already bought by many, the Dreo Silent Tower Fan has notched up a 4.6 out of five-star rating from customers. One purchaser commented: "I love this fan so much, there's noise but super white noise it's not disturbing, it blends in with the environment so doesn't disrupt sleep. Great settings, easy to use, cooling quality is also good." Another said: "This is an amazing fan. It has such a wealth of programmes, and I feel spoilt for choice! I usually can't get by in the early summer without using a higher programme, but this fan is fantastic even on the first programme!". One particularly satisfied customer couldn't help but recommend it, urging: "Please just buy this fan. "This is the best purchase ever. The fan works amazingly well, it is super powerful and economic. I have Dyson at work and I can tell you this one works even better! Just bought mine in April and using it now in June... heat wave and all. It has saved my life." Some buyers did report a few minor issues with the fan, including one customer who commented: "Decent fan. Fairly quiet. Have used lots of Honeywell fans in the past and this is not any more quite. It is definitely not as well made though. The base assembly is not brilliant as lacks precision. Could do better. Top marks though for making it a totally tool free design."
