Wisconsin football made the top five for class of 2026 edge defender Prince Williams on Thursday. The program was included with Miami, BYU, Arizona and Utah.
247Sports lists Williams as a three-star recruit. It specifically ranks him as the No. 559 overall player in the class of 2026, the No. 51 edge defender and the No. 3 recruit from his home state of Nevada. Those top five schools emerged from an offer sheet that also includes Arizona State, Cal, Florida, Iowa State, Tennessee, UCLA and Washington.
As of May 9, Williams does not have any official visits scheduled. That is sure to change in the coming weeks, with each school's June visit schedule fast approaching. 247Sports has yet to release a prediction for the 6-foot-3 edge defender's commitment decision, while On3 lists Miami as the prohibitive favorite at 69.8% and no other program above 10%.
Wisconsin's class of 2026 still ranks No. 43 nationally with six players committed. Three-star Carmelow Reed is the group's only defensive lineman/edge defender. More than one full week into May, the program is still looking for its first blue-chip addition to the class.

Williams was originally a member of the 2025 class, but reclassified to 2024 so that he could enroll early with the program. Advertisement He made sure to make his mark with the team in 2024, leading Alabama with 865 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. Williams ended the 2024 campaign with a pair of 100-yard games. The first game of the season was against Western Kentucky in the season opener. Williams finished with 139 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The other was on the big stage with the Georgia Bulldogs in town. Williams torched the Bulldog defense multiple times to finish with 177 receiving yards and one touchdown. Alabama has been hot on the recruiting trail under DeBoer. The Crimson Tide is pursuing prospects like Titan Davis and Nolan Wilson. Advertisement But when talking about Tennessee, Gray added there's nothing he doesn't like. 'I enjoyed everything,' Gray told Brown. 'Just being around the players was kind of the biggest thing. That was the next step in this recruitment process, and everybody was great.' Former Ohio State tight end Jeremy Ruckert responds to being reunited with Justin Fields Former Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields seems to have found himself a new opportunity to seize a major role in the NFL with the New York Jets after signing a two-year deal with the club. A byproduct of that is that he gets a chance to reconnect with a couple of other former Buckeyes that he played with in Columbus. We've already heard from receiver Garrett Wilson on his excitement to play with the former Heisman Finalist and first-round NFL draft pick, but the electric receiver isn't the only former OSU player donning a Jets uniform. Former tight end Jeremy Ruckert, who played for Ohio State from 2018 to 2021, got to block for and catch passes from Fields on the banks of the Olentangy for two years. So yeah, he too has some history with the guy the Jets' brass hopes turns around the fortunes of the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets. Ruckert was asked by the New York media what it means to be playing with his college teammate again, and was excited more for the team than himself. "Any time you get a chance to reconnect with one of your teammates, whether it's in the League or college, it's great,: Ruckert told reporters. "I'm excited where we're going as a team and the culture we're setting, and I think he's (Fields) perfect for that role, and just these last couple of weeks to get back on the same page and get our timing right with all the guys. It's been special to be a part of that, but also kind of get the other guys rolling and continue to grow as a unit." If you are an Ohio State fan, there aren't too many storylines that jump out more than what Fields does in New York. If he can use his athletic gifts the right way and still find a way to stay poised and present in the pocket, we could see a budding star coming to light just a little later than we thought.
