Visionary leadership of Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev

Amb. Sherzod Asadov Press Secretary to the President of Uzbekistan
"In 1997, one of the prominent geostrategists of his time, Zbigniew Brzezinski, in his book The Grand Chessboard, predicted that the Fergana Valley would become a potential source of geopolitical tension, with some experts even comparing it to the 'powder keg' of the region. Indeed, in this ancient land, whose borders span three countries, events occurred until recently that led many to believe this grim prophecy was not far from the truth.
However, today we live in a completely different reality. Thanks to the visionary leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, his consistent and deeply thought-out reforms, the three regions of the Fergana Valley—and its heart, Andijan—have undergone a radical transformation.
Today, Andijan has become a powerful center of economic growth, entrepreneurial initiative, innovative spirit, intellectual development, and cultural revival. Every new endeavor here is a brick in the foundation of the future. Here, people dream, work, and achieve their goals. Those who strive for knowledge, labor, earnings, and creating new jobs are welcomed. A new city, Babur, is being built.
It must be acknowledged: Andijan is a vivid example of how entire regions can change when they rely on science, determination, diligence, and well-thought-out state policies. In this densely populated region with limited land resources, where until recently industry was represented only by the Asaka plant, the President's reforms and the opportunities created have led to tangible, concrete results in all spheres of life. This evokes joy, respect, and deserves emulation.
The time has come to forget old predictions. Now, thanks to the efforts and friendship of the leaders of the three countries, the entire Fergana Valley is no longer a 'powder keg,' but a space of opportunities, prosperity, peace, good neighborliness, and creation. As for Andijan, Fergana, and Namangan, today they are proof of what people can achieve when supported by a strong, fair Leader of the country and confidence in the future."

US to Paint Mexico Border Wall Black to Deter Crossings

Israa Farhan The United States will paint its border wall with Mexico black at the request of President Donald Trump in a bid to make the structure more difficult to climb under intense heat. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed the move during a visit to El Paso, noting that the darker surface will absorb more sunlight, increasing deterrence against illegal crossings. The wall, which already extends deep underground to prevent tunnelling, will be reinforced with additional security features. Recent congressional funding will support the continued pace of construction as well as the installation of advanced technology, including cameras, lighting systems, and ground sensors. Plans have also been announced for new waterborne infrastructure, though details remain unspecified. US Border Patrol Chief Mike Banks stated that the black paint will also help protect the structure from rust while enhancing its effectiveness as a barrier. The wall remains central to Trump's immigration agenda. Vice President J.D. Vance has confirmed that the project is scheduled for completion by the end of Trump's second presidential term in 2029. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

Egypt Praises International Efforts Toward Peace in Ukraine

H-Tayea Egypt has welcomed recent international efforts aimed at ending the war in Ukraine, following a series of high-level meetings earlier this month that signaled renewed momentum toward a negotiated settlement. In a statement issued on Wednesday, Cairo said that it closely followed the outcomes of the US–Russia summit in Alaska on 15 August, as well as the 18 August meeting in Washington that was attended by US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and several European leaders. Egypt described these diplomatic moves as 'positive steps' that could open the way for peace after more than two years of devastating conflict. The statement stressed that Egypt has consistently rejected military solutions to international crises, reaffirming its position that only political and diplomatic channels can deliver a sustainable end to the Ukraine war. Cairo urged all parties to show genuine political will, flexibility, and adherence to international law and the UN Charter in order to build common ground for peace. Egypt also highlighted the global consequences of the conflict, particularly its impact on developing nations. Rising food and energy costs, the statement noted, have placed severe pressure on countries already struggling with economic challenges, making a rapid end to hostilities even more urgent. Beyond Ukraine, Cairo called on the international community to show the same determination in tackling crises in the Middle East, especially the long-standing Israeli–Palestinian conflict. It urged Israel to accept the recent proposal brokered by US envoy Steve Witkoff and agreed upon by Hamas, which calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the entry of humanitarian aid, and the release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners. Egypt stressed that such steps would help revive the stalled peace process on the basis of a two-state solution and international legitimacy. Concluding its statement, Egypt reaffirmed its readiness to work with regional and global partners, including the United States, in advancing initiatives that strengthen international peace and security, while underlining its long-standing role as a bridge between conflicting parties. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

Nigeria Food Crisis Puts 400,000 Children at Risk

Israa Farhan Nigeria is facing a worsening food security emergency that threatens the lives of hundreds of thousands of children, according to a joint statement issued on Tuesday by the Nigerian government and the United Nations. The statement, released by Nigeria's Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Yusuf Tanko Sununu, and UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Mohamed Fall, warned that the country's food insecurity and malnutrition crisis has reached catastrophic levels. Marking World Humanitarian Day 2025, observed annually on 19 August, the two officials highlighted the urgent need to protect humanitarian workers operating in Nigeria. They also raised concerns over declining global solidarity and a severe reduction in international funding, which has left the most vulnerable communities at even greater risk. The food crisis in Nigeria is deepening, with humanitarian needs continuing to rise. Currently, 31 million Nigerians face food insecurity, while over 10 million children under the age of five suffer from acute malnutrition. Among them, 3.5 million are experiencing severe acute malnutrition. According to the joint statement, the lives of an estimated 400,000 children are now in imminent danger unless immediate and decisive action is taken. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
