An appetizer the week before the main course.
The UFC returns to its UFC Apex warehouse this weekend for an average Fight Night event, one week ahead of a loaded card at UFC 316 in Newark.
Saturday's card won't be one you remember for years to come in terms of entertainment value, as it's not the highest level card we've seen, but perhaps you will look back on it as one that made you big money.
With 11 fights on the schedule and six of them projected to end inside the distance, according to the oddsmakers, we should have another fun night in front of us. Here are my UFC Fight Night Vegas 107 predictions:
The entire card is getting primetime treatment this weekend as it begins at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Erin Blanchfield vs. Maycee Barber
Elmwood Park, N.J.'s own Blanchfield has a chance to earn a flyweight title shot with a win Saturday. The pressure-oriented fighter is always down to strike with her opponent, even if the path of least resistance might be grappling.
Barber was once a top prospect, winning her first four fights in the UFC before dropping two straight. All hope felt like it had been lost for Barber's chances of becoming a title challenger, but six straight wins have changed her outlook.
Somewhat surprisingly, Barber is just a +180 underdog on Saturday. This is a tough spot for the highly athletic flyweight who can't really defend takedowns at a high level.
Her offensive grappling is strong, but she stuffs takedowns at only a 53 percent rate. Andrea Lee took her down five times in 2022.
I suspect Blanchfield gets it done here, and a submission is, of course, possible given Barber's struggles stopping takedowns. For that reason, I have built a same-game-parlay on DraftKings that accounts for submissions.
Blanchfield to win by decision is -115, but I'd prefer to play it this way:
Pick: Blanchfield moneyline + fight starts Round 3 (-160, DraftKings).
Mateusz Gamrot of Poland prepares to face Dan Hooker of New Zealand in a lightweight fight during the UFC 305 event at RAC Arena on August 18, 2024 in Perth, Australia.

Mateusz Gamrot vs. Ludovit Klein
It's been a while since we've seen Gamrot, who was once firmly in the lightweight title picture. He is a takedown machine who boasts wins over title challenger Arman Tsarukyan as well as striker Rafael Fiziev.
Gamrot's only losses are against Beneil Dariush and Dan Hooker, two hard-nosed, top-tier strikers.
While Klein is a solid fighter who has used his striking to win big, it's not my favorite spot to bet on him this weekend.
He shockingly defeated Ignacio Bahamondes in 2023, but he has struggled in other spots, notably against Jai Herbert, who has a rough 3-5-1 record, and he has a loss to Michael Trizano, who has since parted ways with the promotion.
I expect Gamrot will win by decision here as long as he doesn't fall in love with his below-average striking and takes the path that gives him the best chance at victory.
Pick: Gamrot by decision (+102, BetRivers).

Maycee Barber says UFC on ESPN 68 withdrawal vs. Erin Blanchfield 'just a bad hand'
Less than 24 hours after a shocking and dramatic withdrawal from the UFC on ESPN 68 main event, Maycee Barber posted a bit of an explanation on social media. Barber (14-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) was set to headline the card at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas against Erin Blanchfield (13-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC). But just moments before she was set to walk out – video packages for the headliner already had been broadcast – she was not medically cleared to fight. Advertisement The women's flyweight bout was canceled literally in the final minute or two before the fighters were set to walk to the cage from the back – leaving even the broadcast team unsure what was happening. Sunday, Barber had little to say on Instagram beyond an apology, but suggested what caused the incident was not expected. Barber included video taken backstage at the UFC Apex showing her being wheeled on a stretcher to an ambulance. "Not what I had planned for a Sunday post," Barber posted. "Thank you to everyone for the prayers & support I owe an apology to @ufc @mickmaynard2 @danawhite @seanshelby & @blanchfield_mma ** PS my life is not messy this is just a bad hand. We will get to the bottom of it all and be back 🤍" Fight week featured veiled comments by Blanchfield wondering if Barber would show up to the fight. Friday, Barber missed weight by a half-pound and declined an opportunity to cut the additional weight to avoid paying a penalty to Blanchfield. Advertisement At the ceremonial faceoffs just after the weigh-ins, the two had to be separated by matchmaker Sean Shelby, and their beef continued on social media later on in the day. But when fight time rolled around, Barber was unable to make the walk. Blanchfield said after the fight she is not interested in rebooking a fight with Barber. Barber was set to fight for the first time in more than a year. Now that layoff will be extended indefinitely, it appears. Maycee Barber issues first comments since possible seizure nixed UFC Vegas 107 headliner at last minute
Maycee Barber's main event against Erin Blanchfield at UFC Vegas 107 fell apart at the last minute. (Mike Roach/Zuffa LLC) Maycee Barber issued her first public comments Sunday following the worrying last-second cancelation of her UFC Vegas 107 main event against Erin Blanchfield. The top-ranked flyweight contender made the wrong type of history on Saturday night, when it was revealed directly before Barber was set to make her walk to the Octagon that her headlining bout against Erin Blanchfield was off. Blanchfield subsequently revealed that she was told in the locker room by UFC executive Hunter Campbell that Barber had suffered a seizure right before it was time to fight. Advertisement Barber reacted to the cancelation with a post on Instagram, sharing photos of her in the hospital. She neither confirmed nor denied whether a seizure was the culprit of her health situation. "Not what I had planned for a Sunday post. Thank you to everyone for the prayers and support. I owe an apology to UFC, [UFC matchmaker] Mick Maynard, Dana White, [UFC matchmaker] Sean Shelby and Erin Blanchfield. P.S.: My life is not messy; this is just a bad hand. We will get to the bottom of it all and be back." Barber, 27, missed weight for the flyweight fight by a half-pound, tipping the scales at 126.5 pounds, which added fuel to the budding rivalry between Barber and Blanchfield that first began in late 2021. The two were originally supposed to fight that year, however Barber was forced out due to an ankle injury. The comments about Barber's life being messy are in response to aggressive criticism lobbed her way by Blanchfield after the fight fell through this second time. Advertisement "She needs to look at another division," Blanchfield told media backstage. "She needs to fix her life. She needs to fix herself. I think she's a mess in every aspect of her entire life." Barber has battled health issues throughout the past year, which led to her current 14-month absence from the Octagon. She is riding a six-fight win streak and most recently fought when she defeated Katlyn Cerminara via unanimous decision in March 2024 at UFC 299.

With another action-packed month of MMA in the books, MMA Junkie looks at the best knockouts from May 2025: Here are the five nominees, listed in chronological order, and winner of MMA Junkie's Knockout of the Month award for May. At the bottom of the post, let us know if we got it right by voting for your choice. Nominee: Aleksandr Maslov def. Yuriy Fedorov at ACA 186 After facing some early adversity in their heavyweight bout, Alexandr Maslov got the last laugh against Yuriy Fedorov. Advertisement In a heated exchange early in the second round, Maslov (12-1) threw a multi-punch combination at Fedorov (10-7), one of which was a right hook that landed clean to the chin and immediately send him folded to the canvas unconscious. Nominee: Connor Hughes def. Sebastien Di Franco at 2025 PFL Europe 1 The devastating knockout power of Connor Hughes was felt by Sebastien Di Franco when the pair met in a lightweight showdown. At roughly the midway point of the fight, Hughes (11-2) took advantage of poor movement from Di Franco (10-4) with a clean punch that instantly knocked him out. No follow-up shots were needed with Di Franco's lifeless body falling and smacking his head off the canvas. Nominee: Mike Malott def. Charles Radtke at UFC 315 Mike Malott gave the Canadian crowd plenty to cheer about – especially after Charles Radtke talked trash on the country prior to their welterweight bout. Advertisement A "Proper" left hook from Malott (12-2-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) spelled the beginning of the end for Radtke (10-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC). Malott found the chin early in Round 2 with the cracking shot, leading to the finish seconds later after hard, accurate follow-up punches. Nominee: Jared Gordon def. Thiago Moises at UFC Fight Night 256 Jared Gordon scored the biggest highlight reel win of his octagon tenure so far when he knocked Thiago Moises out cold. After getting a takedown early in the lightweight bout, the action returned to its feet where Gordon (21-7 MMA, 9-6 UFC) landed a brutal right hand that floored Moises (19-9 MMA, 8-7 UFC). He followed up with a few shots on the ground to seal the deal. Nominee: Dustin Jacoby def. Bruno Lopes at UFC on ESPN 68 Dustin Jacoby prioritized violence over technique, and it paid off against Bruno Lopes. Advertisement Jacoby (21-9-1 MMA, 9-6-1 UFC) knocked out Bruno Lopes (14-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) with a swarming attack for a stoppage just minutes into the opening round of the light heavyweight bout. The winner: Marc-Andre Barriault def. Bruno Silva at UFC 315 Marc-Andre Barriault finished Bruno Silva in scary fashion at UFC 315. Barriault (17-9 MMA, 6-8 UFC) unleashed an array of elbows in the clinch to knock out Silva (23-13 MMA, 4-7 UFC) at the 1:27 mark of Round 1 in their middleweight bout. Silva was rendered unconscious after being finished by an emotional Barriault and had to be stretchered out. With the win, Canada's Barriault snapped a three-fight losing skid. Meanwhile, Silva has now lost five in a row, and seven of his past eight fights. Cast Your Vote!
