Coronation Street star reveals ‘stressful' time as she makes major change
The 29-year-old star, who plays Bethany Platt in the ITV soap, shared a video on her TikTok recently confirming the belongings in her house are now in storage, ready to complete on the new property.
'So the time has come, we have officially moved out of her house. We've packed everything up, everything's gone into storage, and we are waiting for our house to complete', Lucy said in a voiceover.
'It feels really weird to have moved out of this house because this is the home that Sonny and Nancy were brought back to after they were born.
'We have made some amazing memories here and it was actually really emotional seeing all of their stuff coming out of the room and thinking that we are never, ever gonna come back to this house again.'
Lucy and her footballer partner Ryan Ledson are parents to a young boy called Sonny, and a little baby girl called Nancy.
Lucy confirmed the arrival of Nancy back at the start of this year.
Alongside a sweet picture of the newborn wearing a 'little sister' outfit, Lucy wrote: 'our teeny angel girl is here.' The star announced her pregnancy last year with a sweet video, showing her and Ryan reading to their son before she unveiled her baby bump.
The clip also showed Sonny seeing scan pictures, and Lucy holding a pregnancy test.
Sonny Jude was born in 2023. Shortly after the arrival of the tot, Lucy opened up about the birth, which saw her have a ventouse delivery after being induced early.
A ventouse (or vacuum cup) uses suction to attach a cup onto a baby's head to help the mother give birth, with midwives or obstetrician encouraging her to push in line with contractions.
Appearing on Loose Women at the time, Lucy was full of smiles as she discussed life with Sonny Jude and Ryan.
'He's really good, he is. We don't get as much sleep as we used to do, obviously. But he is actually really good.'
Lucy was asked how she is feeling after the emotional birth, which saw her induced after 38 weeks when the baby's growth started to slow down.
The actress was on gas and air 'for ages' and added she made 'a lot of noise.'
On the daytime show, she continued 'I am actually fine, I am genuinely. Obviously it's a massive life change, it's huge!'.
'Looking back, it could've been a lot worse,' she reflected. 'I'd made a full birth playlist that I wanted to be played but that went out of the window!'.
Lucy returned to filming at Coronation Street in July of this year, after Nancy's birth.
Her character Bethany Platt left the cobbles following a complicated love triangle storyline with Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) and Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 line-up latest as three more celebrities named Three celebrities have been named as part of Strictly Come Dancing's 2025 line-up Strictly Come Dancing has unveiled three more celebrities set to compete in its upcoming 2025 season. The three new names join Olympian and Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey who was confirmed on CBBC's Newsround. He will be joined by Dani Dyer, Alex Kingston, and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink who were announced live on The One Show, on Monday August 11. First introduced was Dani Dyer, daughter of actor Danny Dyer who has starred in multiple films as well as as the Queen Vic's landlord on EastEnders. Dani herself is a TV personality, author, broadcaster, and mother of three. Her eclectic resume includes fronting documentaries such as Is This Anxiety?, co-hosting the podcast Live and Let Dyers with her father Danny, and appearing in travel series Absolutely Dyer: Danny and Dani Do Italy. Dani has also made guest appearances on EastEnders and Celebrity Gogglebox. Dani Dyer is the second celebrity confirmed for Strictly's newest season (Image: BBC) Dani first rose to prominence after winning Love Island in 2018 and has since gathered more than three million social media followers. She is also a published author with her debut book What Would Dani Do? making the Sunday Times bestseller list. In May she married West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen. Speaking about joining Strictly Dani admitted it was "so hard" keeping the news from friends and family, revealing she's not a very good liar. Her parents are reportedly very excited for her. Reflecting on the experience Dani described the show as "such a fun and magical" opportunity and said being asked to participate is "an honour". She said: "Getting the opportunity to be on Strictly is the second-most amazing thing I've done this year. He admitted he has "a little bit of rhythm" but isn't sure what to expect, adding that he thinks a slower dance like the waltz might be his favourite. When Alex pointed out that the furthest a footballer has made it on Strictly is the quarter-finals Jimmy said that fuels his determination. "I am going to do my best – otherwise I'm going to have some serious stick at home." He joked it will be difficult to get England manager Gareth Southgate to watch the show but said dancing with a professional partner who knows the moves "10 times, 100 times better than you" is a real challenge – even more than playing in front of 60,000 or 70,000 football fans. Harry Aikines-Aryeetey was the first celebrity announced for this year's season of Strictly Come Dancing He has also competed in two Olympic Games, is a three-time European Champion, and a two-time Commonwealth Champion. Speaking about joining Strictly Come Dancing, Harry said: "After the Christmas special it was so nice I just had to do it twice.
