‘Ted Lasso' Season 4 Filming Underway Without This Fan-Favorite Star

"Ted Lasso" Season 3
Ted Lasso Season 4 is officially in production, marking the start of a new chapter for the 13-time Emmy-winning comedy. While many O.G.s are set to return, there are still questions surrounding some of the show's other fan-favorite stars, including Phil Dunster (aka the one and only Jamie Tartt).
Back in March, Apple TV+ confirmed that Ted Lasso will return for a fourth season. Jason Sudeikis, who co-created the show with Brendan Hunt, Joe Kelly, and Bill Lawrence, will reprise his role and continue to serve as an executive producer for the upcoming installment.
On Monday, July 21, Apple TV+ revealed that the show had begun filming in Kansas City, MO, with additional filming set to take place in London. The streamer also shared the first behind-the-scenes clip from Season 4 on social media.
The video, with the caption "We're not in Richmond anymore," shows Ted, Keeley, Rebecca and Leslie sitting together in a booth at a restaurant. After the scene begins, the screen fades to black, revealing that Season 4 is officially in production, as the sounds of the characters enjoying their food play in the background.
The clip's filming location in Kansas City, rather than across the pond, suggests that Ted's closest pals have traveled to the States, perhaps to convince him to coach Richmond's women's team. After all, Season 3 ended with Ted returning to his Midwestern hometown and Keeley presenting Rebecca with the idea of launching a women's club in Richmond.
Apple TV+ and Sudeikis confirmed that Ted will be coaching a women's club in Season 4. 'Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women's football team," the official logline reads. "Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.'
In the first-look clip for season four, we only see four cast members, but what about the rest? Here's the latest on which stars are returning so far.

First look at "Ted Lasso" Season 4.
In addition to Sudeikis, it has now been confirmed that original cast members Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift will also reprise their roles for Season 4.
They'll be joined by several new cast members in Season 4, including Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely. While character details haven't been revealed, Feely will take over the role of Henry Lasso, Ted's son, according to Variety.

While some fan favorites have been confirmed, the fate of other beloved characters is still up in the air — including Dunster, who portrayed AFC Richmond footballer Jamie Tartt.
Last August, Deadline and Puck News reported that Dunster had not yet been picked up for the series due to scheduling conflicts. The British actor currently stars in two series, Prime Video's The Devil's Hour and Apple's Surface
Additionally, there's been no word on the involvement of the following Season 3 cast members in Season 4:
There's always a chance that, even if they're not brought on as series regulars, they could still appear in a recurring or guest role. Nick Mohammed, who portrays Nate Shelley, previously expressed interest in returning to the show before the renewal was finalized.
'Yeah, of course. I mean, it was such a gift of a show, we all feel so grateful for being a part of it. I'd love to do some more at some point, but then, equally, it came to a satisfying conclusion in terms of stories for a lot of them, a lot of the characters,' he told Radio Times.
Apple TV+ has yet to announce a release date for Season 4, though the next season isn't expected to premiere until 2026 or 2027. Stay tuned for more details.
All three seasons of Ted Lasso are streaming on Apple TV+.

Look of the Week: Lindsay Lohan just recreated this iconic ‘Freaky Friday' costume

EDITOR'S NOTE: Featuring the good, the bad and the ugly, 'Look of the Week' is a regular series dedicated to unpacking the most talked about outfit of the last seven days. Over two decades have passed since the release of Disney's comedy film 'Freaky Friday,' but at the sequel's premiere in London on Thursday, it seemed like no time at all. Chemistry abound between Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan — who are reprising their roles as mother Tess Coleman and daughter Anna — as they posed for photos amongst confetti. Even the red carpet was designed in lilac and green, reminiscent of the poster artwork for the original 2003 film. Lohan, who starred in the first film when she was just 16 years old, amped up the nostalgia further with her choice of outfit: a custom lavender metal mesh dress by Ludovic de Saint Sernin, which was embellished with Swarovski crystals, and a sparkling Judith Leiber guitar-shaped purse. For eagle-eyed fans, the ensemble might have looked familiar. It was an ode to one of the original 'Freaky Friday' costumes designed by Genevieve Tyrrell. In the film, after switching bodies for a day, Tess and Anna reach a nirvana of empathy and understanding. Tess accepts Anna's ambitions of becoming a professional musician, while Anna comes to terms with her mother's new relationship. In the closing scene, Anna performs with her band at her mother's wedding, wearing a lilac-colored lace-trimmed two piece by cult 1990s fashion label Mandalay, which served as the inspiration for Sernin's custom gown. 'I've been dreaming and manifesting this moment for nearly 20 years,' Sernin wrote on Instagram. He also thanked Andrew Mukamal, Lohan's influential stylist, who has been widely credited with popularizing method dressing after dressing Margot Robbie in a series of doll-like outfits for the 'Barbie' press tour in 2023. This is the second time Lohan has paid homage to her 'Freaky Friday' character through her fashion choices. Last month, she was photographed in a leather miniskirt and a tee emblazoned with the words 'Pink Slip' — the name of her band in the film. From the recent 'Beetlejuice' reboot to the release of 'Jurassic World Rebirth,' the seventh film in its franchise, millennial nostalgia is driving a number of cultural moments in the film industry — and beyond. 'Freaky Friday' is one such example of a cinematic relic that has stood the test of time. At the premiere, Curtis told the BBC she was inspired to take part in the sequel because the film was 'beloved, all over the world.' Lohan agreed. 'The fans love the movie. And that's really important,' she said. 'It makes you want to do it again.' But perhaps no fan was as excited as Sernin himself. 'I feel overwhelmed with joy and love right now,' he wrote. 'It's a full-circle moment for me.'

Jenna Ortega's Reptilian Ashi Studio Dress Rewrites Gothic Glamour at ‘Wednesday' Season Two Premiere in London

Jenna Ortega styled a reptilian-inspired Ashi Studio dress with semi-sheer elements for the premiere of 'Wednesday' season two in London on Wednesday. The actress, who regularly collaborates with stylist Enrique Melendez, put a spin on her Goth style streak with a snakeskin dress featuring a high neckline. The look, which comes courtesy of Ashi Studio's fall 2025 couture collection, featured a sultry fabric design, creating a molting effect with the snakeskin-like material. The look included a take on layering, with a thin film of snakeskin fabric flowing past the hips, the hem featuring a jagged line like a molting snakeskin. The remaining part of the dress's design was the floor-length skirt with a slight train. The fabric featured semi-sheer material, creating a nearly see-through effect. An uneven hemline was featured throughout, echoing the molting motif featured with the gown. Ortega accessorized with jewelry by Rainbow K. Ortega's glam included her dark brown hair casually pulled back with a middle part and a low ponytail courtesy of stylist Cesar Deleon Ramirez. Her makeup included a fresh spin on bleached eyebrows with dark eyes and a mauve lip by artist Mélanie Inglessis. The 'Wednesday' star's dress made its runway debut as part of Paris Couture Week earlier this July. Curated by designer Mohammed Ashi, the collection put an emphasis on construction and corsetry throughout. 'We always forget that and we go into a story about a concept; here, it's about the atelier, about the craftsmanship,' the designer said, per Lily Templeton's WWD review of the collection. The second season of 'Wednesday' follows Wednesday Addams, played by Ortega, as she returns to school to solve a dark mystery. Part one of the Netflix series' second season debuts Aug. 6. Lindsay Lohan Pays Homage to Her ‘Freaky Friday' Roots With Ludovic de Saint Sernin Dress at London Premiere

Lindsay Lohan harked back to her 16-year-old self at the Thursday evening premiere of 'Freakier Friday,' the upcoming sequel to the storied 2003 comedy film in which she starred alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, Chad Michael Murray and Mark Harmon. The now 39-year-old posed on the purple carpet outside Odeon Luxe Leicester Square in a custom lavender halterneck, crystal mesh gown by Ludovic de Saint Sernin. Silver floral detailing crawled along the right hip of the gown and the left side of Lohan's midsection. That same embroidery kissed the bottom trim and appeared on the strap around her neck, extending down across her chest. The delicate, iridescent fabric matched the ethereal nature of Lohan's soft blond waves and light makeup. In her right hand, she clutched the chain strap of a tiny Judith Leiber bag shaped like the maroon guitar belonging to her 'Freaky Friday' character, Anna Coleman, in the first movie. Here, she donned a two-piece satin skirt and camisole set with cream-colored floral stitching and a chiffon trim. As the credits rolled, Anna and the rest of her band, Pink Slip, took the stage to perform, pulling out her maroon instrument one last time. In London, Lohan continued her soft glam streak, opting for warm, rosy hues and light shimmers on her eyes, cheeks and lips. The sparkly coral-toned shadow cast a semicircle over her eyelids, extending into her inner corners, while a deep pink dressed her lips. She kept the same hairstyle she's kept for years: blond coloring and loose waves. Earlier this week, the 'Just My Look' actress time-traveled back into her career even further, cosplaying as herself in 'The Parent Trap.' She played the part of both Hallie and Annie, the 11-year-old estranged twins who find each other at summer camp, dressing in a yellow tweed plaid dress from Balmain for her 'Good Morning America' appearance on Monday. As the official release date — Aug. 8 — of 'Freakier Friday' looms, WWD took a look back at all the best moments from the original score, finding the easter eggs for some of the biggest hair and makeup trends that came out of the early 2000s. Stylists Tara Smith, Barbara Lorenz, Elena Arroy, Christina Smith, and Clinton Wayne put purpose behind the hair and makeup, recreating the looks of that time for the film. Some of these, such as Lohan's calico hair, are making a resurgence today.
