Dayton renews rivalry with Cincinnati, schedules home-and-home for next two seasons

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton men's basketball will renew its rivalry with Cincinnati with a home-and-home series. According to CBS Sports insider Jon Rothstein, the schools are finalizing plans to meet this coming season and next year at each school's respective home arena. The Flyers and Bearcats split two games in the past two seasons after facing off at Heritage Bank Center in the Hoops Classic. UD won in 2023 but feel to UC last season. The pair have played 62 total games since 1949, with the Bearcats leading the all-time series 45-17. The first game of the new series will be at Fifth Third Arena this coming season in 2025-26 and then the 2026-27 season showdown will be at UD Arena.
