The Brave Table Makes its UAE Debut

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, April 15, 2025 / EINPresswire.com / -- The Brave Table Podcast celebrated a major milestone on Friday 11 April 2025, with a sold-out, soul-stirring live event marking its 300th episode and three-year anniversary. Hosted by Dr. Neeta Bhushan, the evening welcomed over 100 guests to the beautiful Sohum Wellness Centre for an intimate night of storytelling, connection and personal transformation.
Guests from wellness, health and holistic circles gathered to rewrite the stories that no longer serve them, reflect on worthiness and relationships, and soak in brave conversations that touched the heart. The event marked the official UAE launch of The Brave Table Live - Neeta's new in-person experience designed to bring meaningful dialogue and deep community to life.
It was a true family affair, with Neeta's loved ones present in full support - including her husband Ajit Nawalkha, co-founder of Mindvalley, their son and daughter, and extended family. In a touching and playful moment, Neeta's son rallied the crowd to announce her arrival in 20 minutes, and Ajit later took the stage to offer a warm and heartfelt introduction, before gathering the audience for a joyous group photo.
'To share this moment surrounded by family, friends and a community of open-hearted souls was truly beyond anything I imagined,' said Dr. Neeta Bhushan. 'This wasn't just about celebrating 300 episodes - it was about creating space for real, brave conversations, and honoring the journey it takes to show up fully.'
Guests came with high energy to witness the one and only Marisa Peer, who delivered a powerful live interview with Neeta, offering insight on how to show up in life free from limiting beliefs. The session ended with a rapid-fire round that had the audience both laughing and reflecting deeply.
'The energy in the room was electric,' said Marisa Peer. 'To witness the vulnerability, openness, and shared wisdom in that space was something truly special. It was an honor to be part of The Brave Table Live.'
As a surprise guest, Gary Lineham, founder of Human Garage and a close friend of Neeta, was invited up from the audience to share his advocacy for nervous system healing and body-based wellness. Gary led the room through powerful somatic exercises to release tension and reconnect with the body, leaving everyone feeling both grounded and energised.
The evening also showcased thoughtful contributions from sponsors. Dr. Jenna of Zoime Longevity Clinic, who shared how true wellness is a fusion of mind, body, soul, and science - from advanced lab testing to detox protocols and holistic care. The Health Nag highlighted a curated range of supplements designed to support gut health, energy and daily resilience.
Sohum Wellness delivered activations throughout the night in their breathtaking new outdoor sanctuary - making its beautiful debut in the UAE. Guests experienced healing through the hands of sound healer Ian Manel, who led a deeply immersive sound bath, along with massages and intuitive tarot card readings. The all-vegan Sohum food and soul beverages nourished every guest from the inside out.
Every attendee received a signed copy of Neeta's bestselling book, That Sucked. Now What?, along with a wellness-packed goodie bag sponsored by Scoop Wholefoods.
Neeta went deep with her audience, asking brave questions and sparking vulnerable shares. The space became a mirror for healing, learning, and heartfelt connection.
'We learnt, we reflected, we connected - soul to soul,' Neeta shared on the night. 'From the incredible guests who came, to the friends who flew in from abroad, to the Sohum set-up of dreams, it was truly unforgettable.
And to my husband - for introducing me with such love and for holding the masculine container that allows me to surrender into my feminine - I'm so grateful. So many women are stuck in a trauma response of doing it all; I'm lucky to have a safe space to lean into. And of course, to my kids hyping me up from the sidelines - I couldn't do this without you.'
Thank you to everyone who came with open hearts and helped make another nourishing celebration with The Brave Table Live so meaningful.'
The Brave Table Live was more than an event - it was a celebration of community, authenticity and the power of storytelling to heal and connect.

Mexico's Nômade Tulum resort: Oceanfront wellness with a Mayan Riviera twist

If it isn't literally the world's chicest spot to downward dog, one suspects the Yoga Shala at Nômade Tulum is damn close. Crafted in rough-hewn timber and surrounded by lush Yucatan jungle, the open-air space features a vaulted ceiling that draws the eyes upward as you breathe in incense, bask in slivers of sunlight and work your way through a series of expert-guided moves. And when class is dismissed, that's when it gets really challenging — especially for first-timers or anyone who isn't blessed with a killer sense of direction. 5 Nômade Tulum offers a bungalow stay for guests, surrounded by lush gardens with a private outdoor plunge pool. Courtesy of Nômade Tulum Advertisement Comprising a maze of rooms, suites, treehouse accommodations and bungalows — along with three restaurants, a spa, an ocean-front pool and a central wellness hub called the Gratitude Tent — it's all connected by stone-strewn paths marked with only the occasional sign to point guests in the right direction. But could 'finding one's way' be a metaphor for the beloved 10-year-old resort itself? 'We collaborate with leading practitioners and locally renowned teachers to create offerings that meet guests wherever they are on their journey, whether they're seeking physical vitality, emotional healing, inner growth or simply a moment of stillness,' says Lucrecia Milan, Nômade Tulum's programming director. 'A key part of our mission is to provide tools and techniques that guests can take home, allowing their journey of self-exploration and well-being to continue beyond their stay.' Advertisement Much of those deep spiritual dives take place in the Gratitude Tent, where guests plop down on the floor atop festive Mexican carpets and absorb the teachings of an ever-changing slate of experts. Handpicked to support monthly themes such as 'Happy Together,' 'Blossoming,' 'Nurtured' and 'The Creative Family,' these educators are drawn from Nômade Tulum's global database of practitioners and artists of all stripes. 5 Guests absorb the teachings from the resort's global database of astrologers, super yogis and lucid dreaming coaches in the Gratitude Tent. Courtesy of Nômade Tulum Among some of the more popular facilitators the resort has booked over the years: alignment specialists Human Garage; super yogi Arun Kolagada; lucid dreaming coach Charlie Morley; musician Leo Prakash and astrologer Rebecca Gordon. On a recent 'Emotional Health Day' during the 'Happy Together' week this past April, guests were invited to partake in sessions like 'Somatic Release Exercises' by Lily Hardy, who describes herself as a 'psychedelic breathwork and change facilitator' on her @thelifeyoulove IG account, and 'Taoist Lore to Transform Emotions' by traditional Mayan massage therapist Beatriz Pinet. Advertisement 5 The resort offers a curated selection of weekly wellness experiences including 'yin yoga' and 'psychedelic breathwork.' Courtesy of Nômade Tulum While all fitness classes and wellness-centric gatherings listed in the weekly program are gratis, along with evening communal get-togethers like 'Songs to the Stars' at the fire pit, resort guests who want to go deeper on their own are welcome to splash out on a huge array of private sessions. Falling under broad headings like 'Changing,' 'Fresh Vision,' 'Higher Love' and 'Harmony of Mind,' the fee-based offerings include a 'Soul Reading' to help release childhood trauma, Reiki, a sound-healing 'gong bath,' and the Mexican-themed Temazcal Ceremony sweat lodge. 5 Private sessions on offer include 'Soul Readings' and sound-healing 'gong bath' sessions. Consider booking an option like 'Clay & Play' ceramics instruction or 'Stargazing' out over the stunning stretch of the Caribbean Nômade Tulum is parked on. For anyone seeking a more hedonistic time-out, the pool and beach beckon, as do the three distinctively different restaurants, all connected by an emphasis on fresh, local ingredients: Macondo, a festively decorated, Mediterranean-themed space offering a lavish gratis breakfast and live music in the evenings; Kuu, a gorgeous jewel box serving up a Japanese, chef-curated 'Omakase' experience, and La Popular, an open-air, ocean-facing dining area that's ideal for a lunch of fresh fish and a cocktail or two. And then there are the resort's two spas. 5 Yäan healing sanctuary leans into traditional folk remedies to promote relaxation. Courtesy of Nômade Tulum At the pint-sized, on-site Nômade Healing Beach Deck, guests can partake in a Mayan Clay Ritual, Herbal Soaking Bath, Aloe Vera Cooling Treatment and all manner of massages, all while lulled by the lapping of turquoise-hued waves just beyond. Located a short walk up Carretera Tulum Boca-Paila, the quaint, boutique-lined main drag in the city's shore-front 'hotel zone,' Yäan Healing Sanctuary is Nômade Tulum's star beauty and wellness attraction. Featuring nine treatment rooms, many housed in separate private bungalows, as well as an elaborate hydrotherapy circuit and a chic fashion and jewelry boutique in the spa's main area, Yäan leans heavily into traditional folk remedies. Advertisement Whether it's the 'Limpia' energetic cleanse that kicks off with indigenous copal incense or the 'Santigüada' sacred purification featuring a mix of Mayan herbs and mezcal, spa guests can expect major stress relief with a distinctly Mexican bent. 'At Yäan, our mission is to bring health, relaxation and well-being, to cleanse the body and spirit and ignite the light within all who will enter,' says spa staffer Carolina Álvarez Luna. We're in.
