Glastonselfy festival announces end after 10 years of joy

The festival began in 2015 to honour Leanne, a special friend of organizer Jayne Jeremiah. Leanne had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and desperately wanted to attend Glastonbury festival but was worried that she wouldn't be well enough to attend. So, Jayne made the decision to bring Glastonbury to her and organised a small festival for around 150 people in a local rugby club so that she could attend her own version of the world-famous festival.

Since its inception Glastonselfy has grown rapidly, with this year's event taking over Crosskeys Rugby Club for two days of live music and fun for all ages. It quickly became a staple for communities to attend, with some travelling from afar to show their faces at the well-loved festival.
Since 2015, the festival has raised thousands for charity, benefitting those in need in the local community. It has run as an entirely charitable event since it began, raising thousands for local causes in the process. This year alone the festival raised £13,400 for local alternative education provider Wellies Farm, bringing the total raised over the last decade to almost £60,000.

In it, Jayne thanks those who brought their talents to the stage, the venues the festival was lucky enough to call home, friends, family, photographers, and her incredible 'Selfy Squad' of volunteers – without them, the festival would never have happened.
Jayne also expressed her gratitude to Leanne's family. She said: 'To Leanne's family for allowing me the honour of remembering her with the festival for over the last decade this will be her forever legacy.

'All good things have to come to an end, I guess, but what an ending we had in 2025 - we certainly went out with a big bang.'
A huge hole will be left in the community with the end of Glastonselfy, but there is no doubt that many will look back and smile at the cherished memories that were made by attending.

Andy Carroll breaks silence on Lou Teasdale row as he shares huge relationship update

It's been a rollercoaster of a relationship for former England star Andy Carroll and celebrity hair stylist Lou Teasedale, with the pair now hoping to move forward together Andy Carroll and Lou Teasedale are working on their relationship after a series of booze-fuelled rows caused them to reportedly split up. Former Premier League star Andy, 36, was said to have been desperate to make amends with mum-of-one Lou, after he was allegedly questioned by police during a trip to Greek party island Mykonos. ‌ The final straw for Lou, 41, was said to have taken place during this year's Glastonbury in June, which saw yet another bust-up between the pair. They had gone to Worthy Farm for a weekend away and to celebrate their one-year anniversary after meeting at the festival the year before. ‌ But Lou left the festival early, leaving former Liverpool striker Andy there alone. It was also rumoured that Andy had initiated the break-up, but it emerged earlier in the week that it was actually Lou who called time on their romance. It comes after Andy Carroll 'splits from Lou Teasdale due to her demands' weeks after public row. ‌ However, the pair appear to have turned it around and are making an effort to patch up their rocky relationship with the hope of moving forward together. Andy has admitted he's been going through a tough time, with his divorce from TOWIE star Billi Mucklow causing him stress, but he loves Lou and her family. Speaking to the Sun, Andy revealed: "Some of our rows have been about alcohol, as Lou has been teetotal for 14 years and I have a beer or wine at dinner and a drink after the game, but it's not a problem in my life. 'I'm a professional footballer and that's not the case. I play sports every single day, so my level of fitness is really good. I play football every day, so I'm fit.' Andy also addressed an incident in which he and Lou were reported to have argued at a Mykonos restaurant, resulting in police arriving to question the star. He insisted it had nothing to do with alcohol and that the pair were actually arguing about him "having three coffees in the morning." ‌ The footballer, who has recently signed for Dagenham & Redbridge FC, said that Lou was concerned he had a caffeine addiction. A joint statement from them at the time said: 'Whilst having a private dinner in a restaurant on a quiet holiday in Mykonos, we had a heated discussion of the sort that most couples have had on occasion. 'It quickly became apparent to the police that there was no reason for them to be there.' It added: 'As far as we are concerned, the situation has been blown out of all proportion by an interested member of the public. 'No one was arrested, and no one was charged with anything. We are very happy, in love and looking forward to our future together, and we are disappointed that a private disagreement has become a public matter.' ‌ The incident, in a packed restaurant, was witnessed by staff and members of the public. One worker at the Nikolus Tavern said of the first argument: 'We recognised him as the footballer Andy Carroll immediately. He seemed very drunk and furious with his partner. He was using very bad words. It was improper behaviour. The woman looked very upset.' The Sun reported that a source said: "After the restaurant episode, there was another incident at the hotel. This time, the footballer went to the police station. We know the woman stayed somewhere else that night.' Meanwhile, a British holidaymaker who reportedly spotted the pair while out for a stroll accused Andy of being "very drunk" adding that he shouted at Lou: "I'm done with us!"
