Khushboo Rajpurohit
, whose dreams were crushed when the Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner she was flying on crashed just moments after taking off from Ahmedabad. As reported by
The Times of India,
Khushboo was on her way to London to join her husband, a doctor based there, marking her first solo international trip after their wedding in January 2025.
Khushboo, who worked in the IT sector, had been brimming with anticipation about starting her married life in a new country. She had meticulously planned every detail of this journey, hoping it would mark the beginning of a beautiful chapter with her partner. Just a day before the flight, she paid a visit to the revered Brahma Temple in Asotra, located in Rajasthan's Balotra district, to seek blessings for a safe passage. Accompanied by her father, Madan Singh Rajpurohit, and a cousin, she traveled to Ahmedabad with excitement and devotion in her heart.
At the airport, Madan Singh clicked a final photo with his daughter—a cherished moment now frozen in time. He sent the image to family on WhatsApp, blessing her with heartfelt wishes for the journey ahead. Neither could have imagined that this farewell would be their last.

As Madan Singh was driving back home through Gujarat's Mehsana, he received the devastating news of the crash. Just hours after watching his daughter walk into the terminal, full of hope, he was forced to confront an unbearable reality. The loss has left their home village of Araba Kalyanpur in Balotra and her husband's family village of Kharabera in Jodhpur drowning in grief. Khushboo was known in both communities for her vibrant personality, her kindness, and a smile that could light up a room.
What should have been a reunion filled with joy has turned into a story of shattered dreams. Families on both sides are struggling to cope with the sudden vacuum her absence has left.

'Viswash effect': Demand up for emergency exit seats after Ahmedabad plane crash; 'some passengers want seat 11A'
KOLKATA: Call it the 'Viswash effect'. Demand and inquiries for seats near emergency exits on flights have increased across carriers. These seats, with extra legroom, cost more, and are in demand following the miraculous escape of Viswashkumar Ramesh. The UK citizen was seated on 11A - a seat next to the emergency exit - and was the lone survivor of AI-171, the flight that crashed on Thursday. Seat numbers next to emergency exits vary according to types of aircraft and class configuration. Aviation experts said seats next to emergency exits may not afford any additional safety in case of a plane crash. All they offer is ample legroom. But for many, these seats now offer mental peace as well. 'Some passengers want seat 11A even if it is not next to emergency' Until Thursday, many flyers declined seats near emergency exits because some of them did not recline much. Moreover, some did not want to be briefed on how to open these exit doors in case of an emergency. Travel agents in Kolkata said while seasoned travellers and tall flyers often opted for these seats and did not mind paying a premium for legroom, others, too, have now started asking about those seats. Jitender Singh Bagga, who runs a distribution and logistics operations business, said he asked his travel agent to only book seats next to emergency exits when he travelled to the US via Delhi next week. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch vàng CFDs với sàn môi giới tin cậy IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo "It has to be a seat next to the emergency exit. I am willing to fork out any extra amount for it. If seat 11A is next to the emergency door of the British Airways flight I intend to take on June 17, I want to be in it," said the Park Street resident. Lee Road resident Rajesh Bhagnani, a frequent flyer, also told his travel agent to book a seat next to the emergency exit for his travel to Mumbai on June 16. "After watching Viswashkumar's great escape, I want to be seated next to the emergency exit as the possibility of survival will be higher than anywhere else. I know that life and death is a matter of destiny, but I still want to have my best shot. Nothing like seat no. 11A if there is an emergency exit next to it," he said. Anil Punjabi, national committee member of Travel Agents Federation of India, confirmed the rise in queries on seats next to the emergency exit. "Some even want 11A even if it is not next to the exit," he said. Anjani Dhanuka, chairman of the eastern region chapter of Travel Agents Association of India, said he got queries from flyers looking for seats next to the emergency exit as well as 11A. "It has got to do with mindset and belief in luck. The flyers say it is for their peace of mind," he said. Follow more information on Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad here . JAISALMER: A group of 61 Indian citizens from Rajasthan, mostly chartered accountants and their families, are currently stranded in Georgia following the cancellation of their return flight due to escalating military tensions between Israel and Iran. The group, which includes three residents from Jaisalmer, was supposed to return home on Friday but found themselves caught in the crossfire of international flight cancellations. Among those stranded are Jaisalmer resident Pramod Bhatia's son Bhavik Bhatia, daughter-in-law Sakshi and grandson Kiyansh, who had planned to fly back to Jaipur via Sharjah on an Air Arabia flight on Friday. However, the ongoing conflict has resulted in widespread cancellations affecting their travel plans. Pramod Bhatia, who is also a chartered accountant, described the situation as distressing, stating that while the group is safe, their families back home are increasingly worried about their well-being and return. Delhi flight makes emergency landing in Thailand after bomb threat
New Delhi: An Air India flight to New Delhi on Friday was forced to return to Phuket and make an emergency landing after receiving a bomb threat, according to airport authorities. The flight, AI 379, had 156 passengers on board. Airports of Thailand (AOT) said all passengers were safely evacuated from the aircraft after it returned to Phuket following emergency protocols.
