Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon, 28, appears to suffer a NIP SLIP at singer's 67th birthday bash
Madonna posted a photo of her daughter Lourdes Leon appearing to suffer from a wardrobe malfunction as she shared a recap of her 67th birthday celebration. On Wednesday, the Queen of Pop took to Instagram to share a series of photos, which included one of her daughter Lourdes, 28, trying to cover up her chest. In the snapshot, which appeared to be from a night out on the town for Madonna's birthday, the proud mother-of-six posed with three of her adult children: Lourdes, Rocco Ritchie, 25, and Mercy James, 19. Standing behind Lourdes, Madonna wrapped her arm around her daughter's shoulders but seemingly and accidentally pulled the neckline of her dress dangerously low. Alongside photos of her spending time with her kids as well as her 28-year-old boyfriend Akeem Morris, Madonna wrote in her caption 'It's still August so it's still my Birthday. !! Thank you for coming!' The music icon recently gathered her loved ones at a gorgeous Italian villa in Tuscany to ring in her birthday with glitz and glamour. Madonna's carousel post also included sweet snapshots with her son Rocco Ritchie, whom she shares with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie. Her son Rocco also made an appearance in the photo that had Madonna's eldest child Lourdes seemingly off guard. Lourdes had her arm up to hold her mom's hand, and she simultaneously used her long, jet-black waves to cover her chest. Her mouth was open as she, her mom Madonna and sister Mercy James, 19, all had their mouths open cheering. Their brother Rocco stood in front of them and appeared to be clapping his hands during a celebratory moment. As part of her carousel post, Madonna shared a series of glamorous photos posing in a sequin-covered corset as well as wholesome snapshots with her children. Madonna is a mother to a total of six children with two biological and four adopted. The Like A Virgin singer shares daughter Lourdes with Carlos Leon and son Rocco with Guy Ritchie. She is also mother to David Banda, 19, Mercy James, also 19, and nearly-13-year-old twins Stella and Estere Mwale. She flew out her family to check out a centuries-old event, which she previously said was her 'dream for many years to watch the Palio horse race in Siena that takes place on my birthday since 1482.' She also shared a group photo with her son and her twins Stella and Estere at the famous horse race. Another snapshot from the event showed Madonna and her kids as well as her boyfriend leaning out of a window to watch the event, with the massive crowd on the ground in the background. She also posted a photo of the racers in their colorful uniforms and the crowds cheering for them. After the event, she enjoyed evenings out with her kids. In one photo, she posed with her daughter Mercy as they showed off their coordinating, outfits for a mother-daughter dinner date. She also included another snapshot of her eldest son Rocco wrapping his arm around her and planting a kiss on her forehead in a sweet moment. She also shared a snapshot of her and her beau strolling down the streets together in her 67th birthday photo album. Her post comes after she celebrated her birthday in style at a luxury Italian villa over the weekend surrounded by her nearest and dearest. The singer visited the famous Palio di Siena horse race in Tuscany with her children and then enjoyed a VIP dinner and fireworks back at Sting and Trudie Styler's 16th century Tuscan villa. The exclusive property named Villa Il Palagio is available for private rental and costs £18,000 for two nights, according to The Sun, and sits in 900-acres of picturesque vineyards. Proving she is even still keeping up with Gen Z trends, the superstar was also treated to a huge pink Labubu doll cake with one very fitting detail. The figure featured her iconic conical bra outfit look and said: 'Happy birthday Madudu' at the bottom. A source told the publication of the big birthday holiday: 'Everyone turned out to support Madonna and she had an amazing trip. 'She loves to celebrate her birthday in Italy and this was one of the best yet,' the insider added. 'She's been friends with Sting for years so I'm sure he will have sorted her out mates rates for his huge estate.'

Why the US Open has struck gold with its new mixed doubles format... despite failure of star-studded field
There was a learning curve, this week, for fans at the US Open's new mixed doubles format. A group of spectators at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Wednesday night could be heard at one point trying to wrap their heads around the shortened format of the matches (which saw sets played to four games before the final). The consistent hum of chatting in the arena (at least before the final) felt out of place for the latter stages of a competition - even one which Jack Draper called an 'exhibition' the night before. And one fan sat behind this reporter even had a phone conversation as one point was contested earlier in the night. But at the end of an evening which saw defending champions Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori crowned 6-3, 5-7, 10-6 (tiebreak) winners over Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud (and a star-studded field), fans were there filling Ashe after all, and it's hard to imagine that Open organizers won't have considered this controversial, abbreviated format a success. Even after a raft of pull-outs like Jannik Sinner, Emma Navarro, Tommy Paul and Paula Badosa disrupted the buildup to the $1million tournament, the atmosphere was deafening for the final. Fans didn't have to pay to see any of the mixed doubles matches on Tuesday or Wednesday, but they certainly showed up - providing an extra boost to the coffers of the tournament with their purchase of merch, food and of course, honeydeuces. Not to mention the enthusiasm they displayed from the stands during the business end of the competition. There was even a bit of an A-list presence on Wednesday as 'Hamilton' creator Lin-Manuel Miranda and Anna Wintour were featured on the jumbotron. Tennis icon Billie Jean King appeared on the court ahead of the final, too. US Open organizers, ultimately, made a calculated bet: move this competition up to qualifying week, court stars like Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu to play, and attract attention like which mixed doubles have never gotten before in New York. They were right, though that doesn't mean there wasn't blowback, or that those stars actually fared all that well on the court. Just one doubles specialist pairing, Errani and Vavassori, were included out of 16 teams as the rest of the tournament was mostly made up of singles stars. In fact, half of the entrants were included on the basis of their combined singles rankings. But it was them who emerged victorious from a field which also included Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton and more. 'We also play for all the doubles players who cannot compete at the mixed doubles tournament here. We try to do our best,' Vavassori said in an on-court interview on Tuesday.' If doubles specialists understandably didn't like what had happened to one of the major events on their calendar, the singles stars, at least, couldn't be accused of treating it frivolously as the final two rounds were contested on Wednesday. 'Exhibition' be damned, Ruud and Swiatek actually challenged a point during what turned out to be a highly dramatic comeback win over Draper and Jessica Pegula in the semis, while Swiatek called her winner in that match's third-set tiebreak the 'most important volley of my life' on court afterwards. 'Yeah, it ain't an exhibition,' Draper said afterwards as he walked back his remarks from a night earlier. Danielle Collins and Christian Harrison's box of family and friends, too, were certainly invested in the action as they got on their feet during the pair's semifinal loss to Errani and Vavassori. If there was a lack of intensity in the arena at times, the crowd certainly tensed up during the big moments. An electrifying break point rally won by Vavassori and Errani in the second set of their semifinal was met a proper eruption from the crowd, and a truly delighted Vavassori flexed in celebration himself. Vavassori was so excited after winning the final that he picked Errani up in his arms. Things quieted down a bit during the final as some shushes emanated from the crowd. This was a Grand Slam final, after all, even if it wouldn't result in any singles points for Swiatek or Ruud. Ultimately, the Italians held their nerve in a deciding tiebreak as Open organizers got perhaps the best of both worlds: the best team winning, and the stands filled. There could be tweaks, but they'd be silly to fully ditch this format in the years to come.
