A little kid grabbed the internet's attention and brought a smile on everyone's faces by enacting an ostrich at their school's fancy dress competition.
A young student's hilarious 'Ostrich' act at a school event caught the internet's attention. During a fancy dress competition organised by All Saints Public School in Adoor, this child dressed as an ostrich and enacted the animal in front of a packed audience. The kid's comical entry to the stage left everyone surprised and amused as they couldn't help but smile at their impressive effort.
In a viral video shared over Instagram, this child waddled across the stage in an eye-catching ostrich costume, featuring a large beak, flapping wings and exaggeratedly long legs. During the performance, the ostrich also laid an 'egg" using a balloon, which created a wave of laughter and cheers inside the arena.
Further sending the audience into hysteria, the child appeared to struggle with visibility due to the large costume and needed help from a teacher, who guided the little one off the stage following their wonderful performance. What caught the audience's attention the most was how perfectly the kid enacted the ostrich up to that point and entertained them.
Also shared over the internet by popular account, 'kailash_mannady', were the behind-the-scenes of the clip, revealing the face of the kid who wore the costume. The additional video showed how the kid's ostrich act didn't just please the audience but also brought a smile to the teacher's faces, with one of them erupting in laughter at the back when the child used the balloon as an 'egg" shell.
What The Internet Said About Kid's Ostrich Act
Since being posted, the clip has attracted over 28 million views, more than 7 lakh likes and a flood of amusing comments over Instagram. The video received widespread praise, with users hailing it as one of the best fancy dress performances in recent times. While some joked about the humorous act, many appreciated the kid, calling the school to award him a prize.
'Please tell me this child got the first prize!" wrote one user.
Another joked, 'Definitely his father's idea."
'Give him an Oscar and that should be big size," someone else commented.
'Tooo gooodddd .. it's not easy to perform like this while carrying a balloon .. amazing," wrote another user.

Fahadh Faasil Recalls Stepping Away From Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's Film: "Was Asked To Stay In US To Work On My..."

Malayalam cinema star Fahadh Faasil once came close to collaborating with Oscar winning filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu on a film. The actor, who is regarded as one of the most versatile performers of Malayalam cinema, said the Birdman director asked him to stay in America to work on his accent for the potential project. In an interview with Cue Studio, Fahadh Faasil initially quipped, "He didn't like me, and I got rejected after the auditions". Later, he gave a more elaborate answer. The actor said he was required to be in the US for around four months and that too without any payment. The Super Deluxe star said he quit the project in its fledgling state as he didn't understand its "commercial side". "It wasn't exactly that he rejected me, but he was concerned about my accent. I was asked to stay in America for three to four months to work on it, and no payment was involved. "That is why I stepped away from it, because the commercial side of it did not make sense to me. I did not feel enough fire to put in that much effort just to work on my accent," Fahadh Faasil said during the interview, as quoted by Cinema Express. The actor later credited Malayalam cinema for bringing "all the magic in my career". There's also unconfirmed chatter online that the film Fahadh Faasil quit was a Tom Cruise film. The actor, however, didn't reveal any more details about the project. Fahadh Faasil is looking forward to the release of his Malayalam movie Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, written and directed by Althaf Salim. Also starring Kalyani Priyadarshan, the film is slated to be released in theatres on August 29 on the occasion of Onam.

James Comey says Taylor Swift inspires him to fight ‘bullies,' claims she sees ‘Trump for what he is'

Former FBI Director James Comey admitted in a video that he is a Swiftie, and that Taylor Swift has been his source of life advice on handling bullies. He slammed Donald Trump while bragging about a family "Swiftie" group chat, and revealed that he has been to two concerts of Swift, and helped some relatives afford tickets too. "I'm in a family's Switie group chat. I know all her music and I listen to it in my headphones when I cut the grass," Comey said. "Taylor Swift has grown up with my family and provided us a soundtrack, really, as we've grown ourselves and learned and adapted and dealt with adversity and celebration," Comey said, adding that millions of family members probably feel the same. Read More | Former FBI director James Comey calls controversy over Instagram post "a bit of a distraction" Comey went on to say that at every stage of the singer's career, she has shown a way that has resonated with kids. He said this felt right to him as a parent, adding that Swift has continued to do so as an adult artist too. 'She's made clear that she sees Donald Trump for what he is' Comey said Swift's example has helped him fight "bullies" without becoming like them. "But I gotta be honest, it also leaves me with a strange feeling at times, because I don't want us to become like Trump and his followers," he further said. 'There are far more decent, honest, kind people in America than there are mean jerks. And don't get me wrong, we have our jerks, millions of them.' "I am not an advocate for weakness. Of course, we need to stand up to jerks and defend what matters, but I think we have to try to do that without becoming like them, which is what makes me think about Taylor Swift," he said. "She's made clear that she sees Donald Trump for what he is. Last year, she urged Americans not to make the serious mistake of electing him.' Read More | What does 8647 mean? James Comey deletes controversial Instagram photo, says 'I oppose violence' "Of course, we're now living with the consequences of that mistake. But while our elderly makeup-covered president is posting about whether Taylor Swift is still hot and declaring that he can't stand her, what's she doing? Living her best life, producing great music and, as she urged all of us to do during the podcast, not giving the jerks power over her mind," Comey added. Comey went on to cite Swift's advice to treat personal energy "like a luxury item.' He then linked this to some research that found rudeness makes people less happy. "We can't stop people from being jerks. What we can do is stop it from hurting us, from changing us," he said. Comey opened up about the second time he saw Swift at a concert in Hartford, Connecticut 14 years ago. He recalled that Swift sang a song asking bad people "why you gotta be so mean." "I bet you got pushed around. Somebody made you cold. But the cycle ends right now, because you can't leave me down that road," Comey said, reciting Swift's lyrics for 'Mean.' "You'll be glad I didn't sing that. That's right, because down that road of unhappiness, nobody should have that power over us."
