Conway a Finn-tastic replacement in NZ squad for T20s
Allen has been ruled out of the tournament after suffering a foot injury while representing the San Francisco Unicorns in the Major League Cricket competition in the United States.
"We're really gutted for Finn," head coach Rob Walter said in a statement issued by the New Zealand association on Sunday.
"I was looking forward to working with him and to see him continue his form from the MLC, but unfortunately injuries happen.
"We're lucky to be able to call on someone of Devon's quality to replace Finn."
Mitch Hay, Jimmy Neesham and Tim Robinson will also join the squad as cover for Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips and Rachin Ravindra, who are involved in the MLC final on Monday.
"We knew there'd be a possibility that a handful of players could be involved in the MLC final on Monday, so we're bringing in Mitch, Jimmy and Tim as possible replacements," Walter said.
Hosts Zimbabwe face South Africa in the tournament opener on Monday night (Australian time).
New Zealand begin their campaign against South Africa on Wednesday.

76ers' Paul George undergoes surgery for off-season knee injury
July 15 (UPI) -- Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George, who was injured during an off-season workout, underwent surgery on his left knee, the team announced. The 76ers said George underwent a successful arthroscopic procedure on the knee Monday at the NYU-Langone Sports Medicine Orthopedic Center in New York. Dr. Jonathan L. Glashow performed the surgery. Advertisement "George will now begin a rehabilitation program and his progress will be monitored regularly," the 76ers said. "He will be re-evaluated prior to the start of training camp." George, 35, was limited to just 41 games last season due to injuries he sustained to his knee, groin and finger. He received several injections in his left knee during the 2024-25 campaign. The 15-year veteran averaged 16.2 points per game, his fewest since 2014-15. He also logged 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game over his 41 starts. The nine-time All-Star, six-time All-NBA selection and four-time All-Defensive Team selection averaged 16.7 points per game over 74 starts in 2023-24 while with the Los Angeles Clippers. George signed a four-year, $212 million contract with the 76ers last off-season. The 76ers will face the Washington Wizards in a Summer League matchup at 8:30 p.m. EDT Tuesday in Las Vegas.

He said in sympathy, about the dramatic spin on the ball that dismissed Siraj, 'really annoying just to touch the bails'. The Indian captain said later about his conversation with the King: 'He did tell us that the way our last batsman got out was quite unfortunate – the ball rolling on the stumps, and he was just asking us how did we feel after that. 'And we told him it was an unfortunate match for us, but it could have gone either way and hopefully we'll have better luck in both the next games.'
