Shania Twain, 59, says she doesn't feel the 'need to prove to anyone that I look younger than I am': 'There is no other me'

Shania Twain is all about owning her truth. The Canadian singer, who's turning 60 in August, opened up about her journey with body image, coming up on a huge milestone birthday and what's next for her career in a recent interview.
The "You're Still The One" artist is Us Weekly's latest cover star, and she wants everyone to know "there is no other me." Twain reflected on being a trailblazing artist in the early 1990s, how body image issues plagued her for decades and how she's now feeling better than ever.
"I'm really grateful that I've reached so many mental liberations. I feel good," Twain shared, adding she advises other people to avoid falling into the "dangerous" trap of comparing themselves to others and to instead embrace what they look like.
"You can wish a lot of time away ignoring what you actually look like. Just get real with yourself."

The Ontario-bred superstar further explained she's always been insecure about her body. That was especially the case when she was growing up, to the point where she'd tell her mother — who asked what she wanted to be when she grew up — she hoped to be a bodybuilder. "I hated being a girl. ... I wanted to be a big, strong man that nobody was going to f— around with," she said, sharing she had been "touched inappropriately" numerous times in her youth.
"I hated having boobs, I hated having hips," Twain continued. "I think a lot of that was also because a lot of the models when I was a kid were very, very thin. That was a sign of elegance and feminine beauty to me."
It wasn't until Twain got behind the camera and started looking at her fashion that she began embracing her womanhood, she explained. Writing "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" was a celebration of that feeling, and that she felt safe and empowered behind the camera.
Changing her perspective to performing in front of an audience — something she still feels anxious about doing — also helped her move past her body image issues. "I'm so over that. All of those insecurities just got absorbed when I took on a different perspective. My only regret is that it took so long."
Twain turns 60 on Aug. 28. Reflecting on this milestone, she shared she feels she suddenly has this pass where she can start caring more about herself and doing things she wants to do — no matter her other responsibilities or pressures. "When I add fame to that, it's a lot to keep up with. I'm a giver, and so I'd like to give more to myself."
But once the final leg of her Queen of Me Tour wraps this summer, Twain said she plans to get back to writing music and working with other creatives to put out a new album. However, she placed importance on taking a mental break and avoiding burn out, explaining she'll also make time for her hobbies and friends.
As she approaches her six-decade milestone, Twain further reflected on what she hopes to do next in her life — and that doesn't include trying to prove something to others. "I really don't have anything left to prove. Even thinking about age, I don't feel like I need to prove to anyone that I look younger than I am," she said, adding she'd rather focus on "creating magic" through outlets like music, film or collaborations.
"There's just so many things," she said. "I keep saying I'm going to have to live to be 120!"

Seann William Scott's Estranged Wife Claims He's Only Selling House Because of Her New Relationship

American Pie star Seann William Scott's plans to sell his house allegedly 'blindsided' his estranged wife, Olivia Korenberg, according to new court documents. Korenberg, 35, filed to modify the pair's custody and child support arrangement of daughter Frankie, 4, on Tuesday, June 3. She argued that Scott's previous motions in their divorce case contained 'numerous false statements,' including one regarding his attempts to sell their family home in California. 'When Seann emailed me on December 1, 2024, regarding his intent to sell the S. Drive home, I was completely blindsided,' Korenberg claimed in her court filing, obtained by Us Weekly. 'In the same email, he provided me with less than a month's notice to apply to private schools during a period of major instability where I had no idea where we would relocate or what I could afford.' Korenberg further alleged that Scott, 48, did not advise that he 'intended on selling his Malibu home and relocating to Venice.' Seann William Scott's Ex Claims He Wants to Evict Her, Daughter From Malibu Home 'Further, Seann states that his move was motivated by a desire to improve his commute, not by any consideration for Frankie's well-being — which speaks volumes regarding Seann's priorities,' she claimed. 'Seann, through his counsel, repeatedly emphasized that Frankie and I could remain in the S. Drive home until Frankie was 18 years old, yet our sudden eviction completely ignores Frankie's well-being and stability.' Korenberg believes that Scott's sudden desire to move and sell their Malibu house was 'wholly motivated by [her] new romantic relationship.' Scott filed for divorce in February 2024, with Korenberg alleging that he was still 'making romantic advances' toward her until October 2024. (Scott has not publicly addressed any of Korenberg's recent claims. Us has reached out for comment.) Celebrity Exes Who Lived Together Post-Split, Because Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix Aren't the Only Ones Scott and Korenberg currently alternate custody of Frankie every two days, which the interior designer claims 'lacks stability and structure.' 'As Frankie grows, she will require a consistent educational routine and secure home base. His claim that he should be the primary custodian is not credible given his limited involvement in Frankie's daily life and unpredictable work schedule,' Korenberg's docs state. 'Most importantly, it would cause tremendous trauma to Frankie, who has a strong attachment to me and a clear preference for me, particularly when she is sick or in distress.' While Korenberg doesn't question Scott's 'affection' for their daughter, she maintains that she should be the primary parent. 'Furthermore, I have made consistent efforts to facilitate positive coparenting, in contrast to Seann's lack of reciprocal efforts,' she argues. '[It] demonstrates my greater inclination and ability to maintain a healthy coparenting relationship with Seann if I were permitted to move a further distance from Seann.'

Chris Pratt shows off drastic transformation for 'The Terminal List' season 2

Chris Pratt gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at his dramatic transformation for "The Terminal List" season two, sharing a video from set on Friday. The actor appeared nearly unrecognizable with long hair, a full beard and a thick mustache, all part of a detailed prosthetic look for his character. "Isn't this hair and makeup incredible?" Pratt said in the video posted to Instagram. "My team does such an awesome job." Pratt, who plays Navy SEAL James Reece in the Amazon Prime Video series, explained the facial hair is fake, but realistic enough to cause issues during lunch breaks. "The crazy thing about wearing a fake mustache or a fake beard is when you eat, you get hair in your mouth," he said, joking about not knowing where the hair came from. "No. Anyways. I don't care. I'm hungry," he added before eating. Season two of "The Terminal List" is based on "True Believer," the second novel in Jack Carr's book series. The action drama follows a Navy SEAL navigating trauma and conspiracy after a mission goes wrong. Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch and Riley Keough return as part of the ensemble cast. Pratt's on-set update came days after he paid tribute to "Parks and Recreation" co-star Jonathan Joss, who was shot and killed on June 1. "Damn. RIP Jonathan. Always such a kind dude," Pratt wrote in a post shared to Instagram Stories.
