Al Jabal Al Akhdar Public Park project opens in Al Dakhiliyah
The project, which cost more than OMR 1.1 million and covers an area of 20,000 square meters, is part of efforts to develop the governorate's tourism and recreational infrastructure, making it a valuable addition to a package of development projects that enhance Al Jabal Al Akhdar's position as a leading tourist destination at the national and regional levels.
Engineer Khalid bin Adim Al Salmi, Director of the Planning and Investment Department at the Governor's Office of Al Dakhiliyah, said: "The project opens new horizons for small and medium enterprises through diverse investment opportunities, including the operation of some facilities and shops, in addition to organizing tourism and community events and activities."
Al Salm emphasized that the expected influx of visitors will contribute to stimulating economic activity in the governorate and support entrepreneurs, reflecting the goals of Oman Vision 2040 to promote entrepreneurship and community participation.
The park's design takes into account the needs of various age groups, providing multi-use facilities that combine entertainment, sports, and cultural activities, making it a major destination for visitors and residents throughout the year.
It is worth noting that the establishment of this park comes within the framework of the comprehensive development witnessed by the Wilayat of Al Jabal Al Akhdar and includes integrated recreational facilities, including a children's play area with an area of 1000 square meters, sports paths, investment areas and an area for electric games, in addition to prayer rooms and restrooms for men and women.
The park also includes an open multi-use theater, and green spaces with an area of (5000) square meters with a plant cover that enhances the aesthetics of the site and makes it a public outlet for family activities and community events.

OAB says approved housing loans provided in Dhofar Governorate exceeded OMR5 million in 2024
Salalah: Oman Housing Bank (OAB) has announced that the total value of housing loans provided in Dhofar Governorate since the branch's establishment has surpassed OMR151 million, distributed among 7,620 housing loans across various wilayats. Musa Masoud Al Jadidi, CEO of Oman Housing Bank, stated that housing loans in the governorate saw a 4 percent increase in 2024 compared to the same period in 2023 as the bank approved 112 housing loans in 2024 with a total value exceeding OMR5 million. He affirmed that these positive results reflect the bank's continuous developmental role in supporting and meeting citizens' housing needs. Al Jadidi noted that the bank has cleared all waiting lists for citizens who applied for housing loans in Dhofar Governorate after completing the disbursement of approved applications. The bank has also begun accelerating the process for citizens in other governorates, which contributes to enhancing family stability and empowering them to own suitable homes. This comes as part of the bank's strategy to provide modern and effective housing solutions that help achieve the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 in improving the quality of life for citizens.

Oman, Lebanon discuss boosting trade and investment cooperation
Muscat: Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, held a video conference on Thursday with Dr. Amer Bisat, Lebanon's Minister of Economy and Trade. RNOV Shabab Oman II participates in SAIL Amsterdam Festival
Amsterdam: The Royal Navy of Oman vessel (RNOV) "Shabab Oman II" participated on Thursday in the SAIL Amsterdam festival 2025. The ship's participation alongside dozens of other sailing ships and historic vessels from around the world created a maritime tableau that encapsulated the history of navigation. The port was transformed into a global stage where cultures converged. "Shabab Oman II" received exceptional attention from visitors and media.
