Fans not happy about Addison Rae's venues for Aus tour

Addison Rae fans have been left frustrated by the American pop star's small venues for her Australian tour.
Disgruntled punters complained they were stuck in queues of more than 50,000 people vying to buy the 2000 to 2500 tickets available for each of her six shows.
The TikTok queen's debut album Addison debuted at No. 2 on the ARIA charts and despite her enormous popularity here, she has booked theatres rather than arenas for her November tour.
It is most likely she couldn't secure the bigger venues which have capacity of about 5000 people such as Sydney's Hordern Pavilion, which hosted the first big gigs by Tate Macrae and Gracie Abrams, as November is the peak touring month in Australia.

Huge demand during the pre-sales for the Addison tour, her debut global headlining run, prompted Frontier Touring to add second shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
'52k in queue for sydney, idk where everyone came from omg,' noted on fan on the Frontier Touring Instagram channel during the pre-sale on Thursday.
A Melbourne punter said The Forum venue, which has a standing room capacity of 2000 people, was too small considering the size of her fanbase in Australia.
Rae, who has more than 88 million followers on TikTok, with over 5.8 billion likes, has exploded on the global pop charts over the past year courtesy of co-starring on the Charli XCX track Von Dutch and her own breakout hit Diet Pepsi.
'I'm not sure what genius decided The Forum was the best venue. Probably could fill Rod Laver Arena more than once. Easy,' he wrote.

Several ticket buyers also complained that the venues in Melbourne and Brisbane restricted tickets to punters over 18 years, shutting out her younger fans.
Only Sydney's Enmore Theatre shows are open to all ages.
'A bigger venue that is not 18+ would be appreciated,' wrote one fan.
There was an interesting difference in the ticket pricing for the Melbourne and Brisbane shows compared with Sydney for the tour.
General admission tickets for the Melbourne gigs and two concerts at Brisbane's Fortitude Music are $99, while Sydney fans can choose between standing for $99 or a seat for $149.

'Why am I paying $50 more to sit up the back?' opined an Addison diehard.
The virtual queues are predicted to be even more hectic on Friday when general tickets go on sale from 10am (local time).
Rae performs at the Forum in Melbourne on November 11 and 12 (Ticketek), Brisbane's Fortitude Music Hall (Ticketmaster) on November 14 and 15 and Sydney's Enmore Theatre (Ticketek) on November 17 and 18.

Woman berated for eating smelly meal on long-haul flight
An American woman has upset fellow travellers after she prepared a meal including boiled eggs during a long-haul flight earlier this month. Jess Marra embarked on the ten-hour journey from Los Angeles to Paris equipped with ziplock bags and containers full of prepared ingredients to assemble an alternative meal during the flight. The healthy meal choice sparked outrage online after the LA digital marketing worker shared a video of herself digging in to the questionable choice of protein. In the clip that has since gone viral, Jess can be seen sitting in the window seat as she cuts an avocado and empties salad dressing and mixed leaves into a reusable container to go alongside the boiled eggs. 'Making my own healthy dinner on a 10 hour flight bc free will exists,' text over the video read. Mortified viewers took to the comments to air their disapproval. 'Just because you can eat an egg on a flight doesn't mean you should,' one person wrote. 'Please take a kind hint from the majority of comments here and leave those boiled eggs at home next time…' another added. 'No one likes you on this flight….. no one,' a third agreed. 'New fear unlocked: I get on a plane and the person next to me starts making an egg salad,' another wrote. Jess has defended her unpopular decision, editing the post's caption just days ago to reassure her haters. 'Bc I hate plane food ✈️also i swear the SOFT BOILED egg didn't smell but will take the judgement,' the updated caption stated. The jet setter has poked fun at her viral moment during her most recent work trip, where she opted for a single-serve yoghurt and pre-package beverage for her in-flight snack. 'Today's plane snax for all my haters' the update on Instagram stories said. Jess Marra's lighthearted response to the backlash. Credit: Instagram

Why pop star considers banning popular fan item at concerts
American songstress Sabrina Carpenter became a bona fide star after touring with Taylor Swift last year, but the 26-year-old has considered banning a popular item at concerts that may have the same fans imploring her to 'Please Please Please' reconsider. Speaking to Rolling Stone recently, the Espresso singer reflected on a Las Vegas show she attended starring Silk Sonic — a.k.a Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak — where the use of phones was forbidden. 'This will honestly p*** off my fans,' she said. 'I've never had a better experience at a concert.' Sabrina Carpenter Credit: Getty Carpenter suggested going hands-free transported her back to a simpler time and enriched the experience. 'I genuinely felt like I was back in the Seventies — wasn't alive. Genuinely felt like I was there. Everyone's singing, dancing, looking at each other, and laughing. It really, really just felt so beautiful,' she said. Other artists to have barred devices from their shows include Jack White and Alicia Keys. Rock band Tool even warned of kicking fans out completely should they fail to live in the moment. One concert-goer shared an email request they received from the American band ahead of a tour in 2019. 'We respectfully request that you please watch and listen to the show, not your phone,' it read. 'You will be ejected from the show without the opportunity to return and without a refund if you violate this simple request and elect to take photos during the performance.' Carpenter joked that snapping almost every inch of her body in its current state wasn't too concerning, but she may not be so willing later in her career. 'I've grown up in the age of people having iPhones at shows,' the singer added. Sabrina Carpenter poses while fans put their torches to the sky. Credit: Sabrina Carpenter/IG / IG 'It unfortunately feels super normal to me. I can't blame people for wanting to have memories. But depending on how long I want to be touring, and what age I am, girl, take those phones away. 'You cannot zoom in on my face. Right now, my skin is soft and supple. It's fine. Do not zoom in on me when I'm 80 years old up there.' With the advent of mobile phones — and the banning of smoking in many public venues around the world — a block on devices might have the effect of crowd black outs, as flashlights cannot be employed as substitutes for lighters. This could in turn remove the sense of community an audience collectively feels, eliminating a form of interaction between the artist and fans. Following a recent pattern of controversy for Carpenter, the singer debuted album cover art for her forthcoming project Man's Best Friend which caused a stir among fans for its provocative themes. While some argued it was degrading to women, others felt it expressed her signature playfulness and leaned into satire.
