I'D put money on the fact that mascara is the most popular make-up product.
It's definitely the easiest to apply, and makes an immediate difference to your face, so even if you're not into make-up, you can't get it wrong.

I've had many new mascaras, all promising to be the best one ever, cross my desk already this year with price points ranging from a few pounds to over £50 - and a quick search of Boots.com throws back over 400 results for "mascara", so it's no wonder finding The One feels like a minefield.
I know this is a huge claim - but I think Kim Kardashian's famed make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic's debut mascara might just be the perfect all-rounder.

Makeup By Mario Master Mascara took three years to develop

Before I tell you why, let me first list all my requirements, so you can understand how picky I am.
I've got sensitive eyes that always seem to be itchy, so I need a lightweight formula that doesn't make the problem worse.
Because of said itching, it also can't flake - there's nothing worse than looking in the mirror and seeing black specs all over your face.
I've got very oily skin, so it needs to be smudge-proof - but because of said sensitive eyes, I try to avoid waterproof formulas, which can take a heavy-duty cleanser to remove.

Tara's lashes without mascara

As for my lashes, they're long (a win!) but fair and very straight - so the brush needs to be able to get into the inner corner of my eye to pick up every hair and lift my lashes, while the formula has to hold them in place once it's on and not clump lashes together or look thick towards the ends.
I told you - I'm a really tough customer when it comes to mascara.
Miraculously, Makeup By Mario Master Mascara, £28 manages to tick pretty much all the right boxes.
A few years ago, I attended a Mario Dedivanovic make-up masterclass where he divulged his foolproof four-step mascara routine.
Curl lashes, wipe excess off mascara brush, apply to lashes, then comb lashes through to separate. But the clever design of Makeup By Mario's Master Mascara delivers the same results in one step.

Makeup By Mario's cone-shaped wand is great for short lashes

Makeup By Mario Master Mascara, £28
It has a cone-shaped tapered wand that I knew I was going to love as soon as I saw it.
The slimline design means I can get up close and personal with the base of my lashes without transferring the product on to my eyelid, but it's not too complicated that I need perfect lighting and a magnifying mirror to work out which way to use it.
Plus, the head of the wand has fibre bristles, which I prefer, as they help distribute product more evenly.
The bristles are super-thin and spiral around the wand, so they comb through every lash - picking up ones I didn't even realise I had - adding volume, and seamlessly carry product from root to tip while also preventing lashes sticking together so they look wispy rather than spider-like.

Master Mascara's before and after photos are seriously impressive

It has a shorter wand than most on the market, which allows more control as you can get closer to your face.
I'm usually wedded to my lash curler, but I've stopped using it completely since trying Master Mascara, as the tubing formula means you can lift your lashes with the wand alone by holding it in place for a few seconds while the formula sets to maintain the curl.
Hours after applying, I can feel my lashes touching my brow bone when I look up, so I can vouch for how well it stops them falling flat.

The first time I used it, I was worried the formula might be too wet and thus prone to smudging, but it dries down quickly on lashes putting my fears to rest.
I even wore it when I went to cheer on my friends running the London Marathon - if you've seen any videos on TikTok, you'll know how emotional it can get, but there was no sign of panda eyes at the finish line.
Yet still, because of the pro-vitamin B5 and caster oil-packed formula, my lashes don't feel at all crispy.
It's not something I do often, but in the name of research, I even reapplied the mascara after a full day's work to see what would happen.
It didn't flake or get clumpy, only upped the volume for a more dramatic look.

I love how you can tailor the application and achieve countless different looks - from minimalist, lengthened lashes to OTT false-lash effect volume, it's the most versatile formula I've used in a long time!

I'm a beauty editor – these are the products I'm swearing by this summer, including a 15-min fix for tired eyes…
SUMMER LOVING I'm a beauty editor – these are the products I'm swearing by this summer, including a 15-min fix for tired eyes… Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) ANYTHING that promises instant results when it comes to skincare is an immediate red flag for me. Every dermatologist I've ever spoken to has told me you have to use products consistently for at least three weeks, and up to six, before you will start to see results with the naked eye. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 7 Here's what Beauty Editor Tara Ledden is using this summer... Credit: SUPPLIED So, when L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser Eye Bag Instant Eraser, £29.99, landed on my desk this month promising results in 15 minutes, I was dubious. 7 Erase eye bags in 15 minutes Credit: L'OREAL L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Laser Eye Bag Instant Eraser, £29.99 With a name like that, you're setting yourself up for failure, I thought, but I took it home to try. I put it on that night, expecting to roll my eyes when it inevitably didn't live up to the claims, but within minutes my under-eyes were smoother and less puffy. I put it down to the fact my bags aren't that bad – I'm 29, and I only have a couple of fine lines in the area, so I'm definitely not the target market. Determined to put it through its paces, I asked my mum to give it a go. I didn't expect her results to be even better than mine, easily knocking a decade off her appearance. I can't imagine she'll use it every day – it comes with strict instructions not to make facial movements for the 15 minutes it takes to dry, and you have to apply the pea-sized amount with tapping motions rather than rubbing it in – but I'm sure it'll be her special-occasion secret weapon. Speaking of secret weapons, I've found a warm-weather essential where I least expected it in Dcypher Blur Balance Primer, £25. 7 This silicone-based formula feels like velvet Credit: DCYPHER Dcypher Blur Balance Primer, £25 I haven't used a mattifying primer for maybe 10 years, but the recent high temps had me searching for a solution to my near-constant sweaty upper lip. The silicone-based formula feels like velvet, but isn't heavy or mask-like, and creates a barrier that absorbs moisture and stops sweat breaking through and ruining my make-up all day long. 7 This formula slicks baby hairs down without making them dry or crispy Credit: CHAMPO Champo Flyaway Fix, £16 Champo Flyaway Fix, £16, has become similarly key for my hair this month. I've been wearing it up a lot, as I have baby hairs around my face that frizz and look messy in the humidity. The serum-like formula slicks them down without making them dry or crispy, and it doesn't make my hair flake off leaving white specs. The fine-tooth, curved brush doesn't tug or create bumps in my hair either, making it perfect for slicked-back styles. Weightless hydration has been a saviour for my skin, keeping my face soft and smooth without blocking my pores. 7 Refresh your complexion instantly Credit: ELEMIS Elemis Pro-Collagen Toning Mist, £45 I've been layering Elemis Pro-Collagen Toning Mist, £45 – a super-fine mist that I use on freshly cleansed skin – and Bubble Cosmic Silk Hydrating Milky Toner, £16, which has a slightly thicker formula that creates the perfect base for make-up – and it's working wonders. 7 This toner creates the perfect base for make-up Credit: BUBBLE Bubble Cosmic Silk Hydrating Milky Toner, £16 The mist contains padina pavonica, a type of algae that moisturises skin and is the hero ingredient in the entire Elemis Pro-Collagen range. It also has soothing rose and gluconolactone, a PHA that gently exfoliates dead skin cells and acts as an antioxidant to brighten the complexion. The list of skin-loving ingredients in the serum is even longer – with ceramides, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid and allantoin to name just a few. It absorbs quickly and gives a lit-from-within radiance that lasts hours. 7 This is a non-negotiable if you shave or are prone to ingrown hairs Credit: MEGABABE Megababe Après Shave Ingrown & Razor Bump Roll-on Solution, £12 I'm extremely low-maintenance (read: lazy) when it comes to bodycare, so when I tell you Megababe Après Shave Ingrown & Razor Bump Roll-on Solution, £12, is a non-negotiable if you shave or are prone to ingrown hairs, please believe me. The rollerball format means you don't have to get your hands sticky, and it has a cooling effect on contact with the skin. There's no stinging or tingling, even on my arm pits, which is often the case with other ingrown-hair solutions I've tried. If you find you get red dots on your legs after shaving, it gets rid of those virtually overnight, too. From now until tights season comes back around, this will be my beauty best friend.

He shared: 'Can someone tell me why I hadn't thought of this before? What's big, panelled, and would make an awesome headboard? Literally a garage door. 'And for 60 pounds off Facebook Marketplace, let's see if it works.' The first thing he did was remove the handle and fill up the hole, before painting it a beautiful pink colour. More on DIY BIN BLISS I made a glam DIY water feature for my garden using £1.50 plastic bins from IKEA Jack shared: 'I nipped Wickes for my materials, first using a primer to treat the metal, before going in with this gorgeous blush rose, which is actually a collaboration between Kimberley Walsh and Wickes. 'I mean, whoever came up with the idea to create paint colour with a Girls Aloud star is a genius.' Jack shared how the blush shade completely warmed the bedroom up, and he decided to use it for the ceiling and some side tables too, which he had cleverly made from some drainage pipe, also from Wickes. Followers were amazed at the finished result, with the video racking up 26,000 likes - and he was delighted with how it looked. Jack, who was a finalist in the BBC Interior Design Masters competition, bought the Methodist chapel, which dates to 1909, in 2017 with his partner Alex Walters. 6 Jack Kinsey turned a derelict old chapel in Norfolk into a stylish home 6 The interior design whizz renovated it by 'mixing old and new" Credit: Jack Kinsey - Supplied It's not the only impressive home transformation Jack has done. The pair spent the next two years renovating it themselves by 'mixing old and new and picking up a pre-loved bargain and giving it a new lease of life." Speaking to Fabulous, Jack, who snapped the property up within an hour of seeing it for sale, has now shared his top money-saving tips and tricks for renovating your home. "I've always been drawn to old and unique properties and there are many beautiful barns and chapels in Norfolk but they don't come up for sale very often," Jack explains. 6 The interior design whizz is a fan of mixing old and new Credit: Jack Kinsey - Supplied "The chapel was covered in ivy and half hidden so we had a look around and instantly saw its potential." "It was a rare opportunity to get our hands on one of those old gems that we could turn into something really different and magical." But the interior design guru was eager to transform the chapel, which is two storeys with two bedrooms, both with modern en suites, without breaking the bank. "We did a lot of the work ourselves to keep the cost down and watched a lot of videos on YouTube," Jack explains. "We kept the original floors and many of the old features and learnt what bits of carpentry we could do.'
