Just days after Amazon Prime Video dropped The Assassin, which has been climbing up the streaming chart ever since, they have something else for TV watchers.
All six episodes of Butterfly have now arrived, offering another tale of international espionage.
Set in the bustling South Korean city of Seoul, the drama stars Daniel Dae Kim (of Lost and The Good Doctor) as the semi-retired gun-for-hire David Jung.
The show kicks off in a high-end hotel, where a visiting politician is under surveillance for a bold assassination attempt (think Day of the Jackal vibe) which is being organised by a shady and deep-pocketed private intelligence agency.
The young assassin on the job is Rebecca, played by Reina Hardesty. Next on her kill list is the rogue and not-really-retired agent David, who's highly trained in field work.
Adapted from a graphic novel by Arash Amel and Marguerite Bennett, it turns out that David and Rebecca are known to one another.

The former intelligence agent is on a mission to protect his wife and daughter, while also reckoning with an incident from his past that comes back to haunt him. Ominous stuff.
'A central question in our entire season is, 'Who can you trust?',' Kim told USA Today. 'And just because they're family, can you trust them? The ending to our season really speaks to that question.'
Kim was an executive producer on the show and has already teased what they could tackle with a second season, saying there's 'a lot more story to tell, and there are places for all of our characters to go that I find really intriguing'.
He added: 'So let's hope people like it enough to make that happen.' More Trending
So far so good on that front. The show has totted up a 71% rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with several positive write-ups to its name.
Collider praised the 'wall-to-wall action' in the show, while The AV Club wrote: 'With a tight focus and impressive performances, Butterfly's basic spycraft story feels both elevated and entertaining.' TV Guide described the show as 'slick' and a 'solid spy series'.
However, not every review can be glowing and The Hollywood Reporter bemoaned the show 'needed more time in the chrysalis'. You be the judge!

Giles Keyte / Courtesy of Ne 3 David still tries to see the good qualities of his character. They play a bunch of golden oldies who solved cold cases for fun until the death of builder Tony Curran at their retirement village left them facing a real whodunnit. But cracking the case proves tough as David's character Ian Ventham, who owns the Coopers Chase complex, is determined to oust them so he can redevelop the site. The Doctor Who actor, of Bathgate, West Lothian, said of playing unscrupulous Ventham: 'He's got all the signs of success, but he's facing a big divorce settlement and he needs to make more money fast. 'He lacks empathy, diplomacy and charisma and he's self-interested to an alarming extent. 'Originally, Ventham was brought in by Tony Curran to develop the Coopers Chase retirement village. 'But after Curran's death, he intends to push ahead with a plan to displace the residents and redevelop the site.' Despite the fact 'sinister' Ventham has few redeeming qualities, David still tries to see the good in him. He said: 'He's not the most sympathetic character. You're always trying to see your character's point of view, so I don't particularly see him as a villain or as a ne'er do well. 'He's just someone who's got himself in a very particular situation and doesn't have the people skills to get through life with as much charm as one might hope he should have.' The movie plot is based on former Pointless presenter Richard Osman's bestselling novel, also The Thursday Murder Club, which was the UK's most successful book of the decade. Star of 'The Thursday Murder Club' looks unrecognisable on set Film director Chris Columbus, famed for Harry Potter, Home Alone and Mrs Doubtfire, said he had a lifelong ambition to see David cast in one of his productions. He explained: 'David Tennant is simply one of our greatest living actors. I was a huge fan of his performances in shows like Broadchurch and Des, along with his theatre work in Macbeth. 'David's name was soon added to the list of actors I vowed to someday work with. I was thrilled when he agreed to play Ian Ventham in our film. 'He has the ability to portray a sinister villain like Ventham, a man with very few redeeming qualities, and make the audience believe that this person truly exists, that they are watching a real human being on screen.' Helen Mirren plays Elizabeth Best, the leader of the amateur sleuthing gang and an intelligent strategist who may have been a spy in a past life. Meanwhile, Pierce Brosnan is Ron Ritchie, a would-be comedian, militant and high-profile trade union activist dubbed 'Red Ron' by the Press, whose son is an ex-boxing champion. His best pal is psychiatrist Ibrahim Arif, played by Ben Kingsley. And former nurse Joyce Meadowcroft, a newcomer to Coopers Chase after being widowed, is portrayed by Celia Imrie. Helen said: 'I was one of the many millions who read the book and loved it. I couldn't put it down and was utterly charmed by it. 'And reading it, you do think 'This could be a movie'. 'I could tell immediately the character I would be most suitable for. My friends who read the book also said, 'If they ever make a movie, you have to play Elizabeth'. 'We can tell that she was someone powerful and substantial, but it's all a bit secret. Was she a high level politician? Was she a high level operative in MI5 or MI6? 'She never quite talks about it, but we get a sense. She's tough, she's smart and she's witnessed some heavy-duty things.' But Helen reveals the film also carries an important message. She added: 'It has these absolutely serious issues within it as well, the issues that you have to deal with the further you get into your life. 'The diminishing of your mind and body, and how to deal with that. The murder mystery is the foundation, but it's not the essence. 'The essence of the film are the characters and their humanity.' Pierce said Chris Columbus, who he worked with on 1993 Hollywood blockbuster Mrs Doubtfire, 'seems to come around every ten years or so with wonderful jobs' for him. 'Ron is a stout fellow of good character,' he added of his role. 'He doesn't particularly want to be at Coopers Chase, but there's a time in life when you just have to hang up your spurs.' Meanwhile, Celia beamed: 'The minute I got the part, I went whizzing down to the bookshop, buying all The Thursday Murder Club copies I could lay my hands on. I was trying to find little snippets of exactly what Joyce got up to. 'Every now and then in the book, I'd find marvellous little details about Joyce's love of particular television programmes, using her napkin at the lunch table because she thinks it makes her look clever or putting the chairs out at a meeting because she thinks people will like her better.' The Thursday Murder Club is the first of four novels, with a fifth set for release this autumn. So far, the series has sold more than 10million copies. Although the books have enjoyed far-reaching success, and been translated into 46 different languages, Richard didn't have to look far for inspiration. The entire concept is based on his mum Brenda, who he hopes can show other pensioners they still have plenty left in the tank. He said: 'My mum lives in a retirement village in the south of England. It's very beautiful, very bucolic and it looks like just the place where Agatha Christie would set a murder. 'And when I was talking to the people that live there — all over 75 — they've all done extraordinary things with their lives and have amazing stories. I thought, 'What if there was a murder here? I bet you these people could solve it'. 'That idea was what I was trying to tap into with The Thursday Murder Club — the notion that there is a generation who have done extraordinary things, have extraordinary skill sets and wisdom and they have become overlooked. 'They've become underestimated, almost invisible. And if you combine being invisible with being wise, then you have the perfect skill set for a detective.' The Thursday Murder Club will be released on Netflix on August 28 and in selected cinemas from August 22.

Sad reality of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz's life as 'nepo babies'

Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz's lifestyle could not be further away from reality so here we take a look at how they fill their days as 'nepo babies' The term "nepo babies" has been thrown around a lot over the last few years regarding the off-spring of celebrities. And when faced with the question of whether they believe that they fit the mould of a "nepo baby", many are quick to insist that they have carved out their own careers through hard work. ‌ And while Brooklyn Beckham, 26 and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, have attempted to carve out their own careers (with Victoria and David's son dipping his toe into photography, football, modelling and cooking - to name a few), they haven't quite been able to shake off the nepo baby label. ‌ This comes after David Beckham spoke 'as a father' in 'family' announcement after Brooklyn's latest snub. ‌ Their association with the term isn't perhaps helped as they fill their day with mundane tasks which include shopping trips, posting kissing selfies on Instagram and Brooklyn's cooking vlogs. In a recent post, Brooklyn shared with fans that he was tasked with accompanying his wife on yet another shopping trip. Taking to the social media platform, he told his followers: "Me waiting for my Mrs to try on clothes ha." The couple have been at the forefront of attention over recent months after it appeared that a fall out within the family had occurred. And it does not seem as though the hatchet will be buried any time soon as Brooklyn, who appears estranged from his parents and siblings, failed t6o turn up to any of his dad's 50th birthday celebrations, among many other family occasions. ‌ David and Victoria Beckham have remained tight-lipped over the heart-breaking situation, while Brooklyn's brothers, Cruz and Romeo have reportedly unfollowed the pair. According to the Mail Plus, despite brand collaborations, Brooklyn and Nicola are happy to glorify their privileged lifestyle. A source reportedly said: "They don't have proper day jobs. Instead, they just post on Instagram and show off. It's all so ghastly, it's like, 'Look at us, we have so much money'- without actually earning it." ‌ They added: "David and Victoria have worked extremely hard to get what they have and they did their very best to instil that into their children, let's not forget that Brooklyn used to have a job in a café when he turned 14 - but then Nicola came along." The source continued: "She comes from a different family culture entirely, she just had money thrown at her. Sadly, that seems to have infected Brooklyn." ‌ Over the years Brooklyn has shown an interest in a variety of careers, one of which was following in his father's footsteps as a footballer. But he soon found a passion for photography and now most recently, his love of cooking and sharing his talent on social media has become his main focus. Meanwhile Nicola, 30, had starred in Transformers which was a blockbuster hit at the time and had also penned, directed and starred in her own film Lola. However, critics were not best pleased with the production. ‌ Brooklyn's apparent "nepo baby" lifestyle is a far cry from the values his parents instilled in him as a child, if Victoria's past interviews are anything to go by. In an interview she once said: "They won't be these children that stay at home and don't do anything. They will definitely work." ‌ Victoria was in one of the most successful girl groups in the world. As a Spice Girl, she was known as Posh Spice. Since the group disbanded in 2001 following Geri Horner's departure a little earlier, Victoria not only tried to carve out a solo career but went on to launch a globally respected fashion house. David was an international footballer and was hailed as one of the greatest. He now owns his own club in Miami.

Netflix's scariest horror films including 'masterpiece' that'll leave you covering you eyes

Want to have your mind messed with? These options are sure to have you turning to a night light Netflix offers a plethora of choices for movie night, spanning every genre imaginable. ‌ The horror category is no exception, with an array of spine-chilling films and eerie comedies. However, these options may not necessarily deliver the level of terror some viewers crave, offering a more subdued experience instead. ‌ Finding a film that delivers pure, unadulterated horror can be a challenge. This was the dilemma faced by one Netflix user recently, who took to Reddit in search of recommendations. ‌ Their post read: "I'm in the mood for a horror movie that will actually terrify me, like builds dread, makes my heart pound or messes with my head. Ideally supernatural (ghosts, demons, witches, gore, monsters, curses, that kind of vibe), and I'm totally down for non-English films too (plus jump scares! ) Let me know what truly got under your skin or made you sleep with the lights on. Looking to be deeply unsettled tonight." The responses were filled with excellent suggestions. Here are some of the top recommendations for those seeking a truly terrifying viewing experience, reports the Express. Talk To Me Boasting an impressive 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this film follows a group of friends who discover how to summon spirits using an embalmed hand. They become addicted to the thrill and high-stakes party game, until one of them takes it too far and unleashes horrifying supernatural forces. One fan who suggested the film commented on the subreddit thread: "Rarely have any recent horror flicks got me under the skin, but yo, this one did." It comes from the Philippou brothers who have more recently released Back to Her in cinemas. ‌ One fan said of the film: "Talk to Me isn't just a movie; it's an otherworldly journey that immerses you in a realm of unrelenting terror and profound introspection. A chilling masterpiece directed by the visionary Philippou brothers, this film reignites the horror genre with a searing intensity reminiscent of its illustrious predecessors." Talk To Me is streaming on Netflix. ‌ His House Released in 2020, His House has quickly become a firm favourite amongst devoted horror enthusiasts. It even secured a flawless 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie centres on a refugee couple who make a terrifying escape from war-ravaged South Sudan, only to find themselves battling to adapt to their new existence in an English town harbouring sinister forces beneath its façade. The Reddit user who championed the title wrote: "His House on Netflix was terrifying (I had to cover my eyes and plug my ears multiple times) and also a very thought provoking movie. Very well done." ‌ While a fan review shared online claims: "His House is an absolute masterpiece that delves deep into the harrowing journey of migrants seeking refuge in a new country. From the moment the film begins, viewers are immersed in the struggles and challenges faced by the protagonists as they flee their war-torn homeland in search of a better life." His House is streaming on Netflix. ‌ Veronica The third most popular suggestion via Reddit was Veronica. Whilst it may boast the lowest Rotten Tomatoes score of the three choices, it still maintains an impressive 86%. A Spanish film, set in 1991, during a solar eclipse, a teenage girl and her mates attempt to contact the spirit of the girl's father using an Ouija board. ‌ Yet during the séance she loses consciousness and soon it becomes apparent that sinister demons have materialised. It draws inspiration from true events which involve the mysterious death of a young girl who performed a similar ritual at school in Madrid in the 1990s. Nevertheless the director Pedro Plaza did not seek to recreate the real events with the film. This is a choice that abandons jump scares and instead seeks to leave you feeling unsettled. As one fan explains: "Really, one of the best horror movies I ever saw. Veronica may not have those jump scares but still will keep you anxious through out the movie."
