'Megan is such a wonderful and clever writer, and with Michelle Keegan in the lead and (executive producer) Nicola Shindler at the helm, this is going to be an unmissable drama and one I'm very proud to have on ITV.'
Shindler and Richard Fee, executive producers for Quay Street Productions, added: 'We are so delighted to be working with Megan again, she is an exceptional writer who has written a compelling series taking viewers on a twisty journey to discover what really happened through the lens of a contemporary police station brimming with secrets, corruption, and betrayal.
'We are also thrilled at the brilliant cast led by Michelle and Douglas, who will keep viewers on the edge of their seats, wondering who to trust at a time when the themes explored in The Blame are more relevant than ever.'
The series will air on ITV1 and STV, with streaming available on ITVX and STV Player.

Emmerdale airs Aaron and Robert reunion in ITVX release and reveals their future

The following article contains spoilers from an episode of Emmerdale that hasn't aired on ITV1 yet, but can be viewed (time and time again if you're a fan of the characters we're about to mention) on ITVX. Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) have briefly reunited in Emmerdale, and it's very possible they're going to do it again in the future. When Robert returned to the village earlier this year, he tried to stop Aaron's wedding to his distant brother John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). Outside, Robert admitted that he still had feelings for Aaron, and they shared a kiss. Aaron felt that his future was with John though, which meant he had to put his connection with Robert to the back of his mind. As a result of this and not wanting to make John jealous, Aaron has tried to keep his distance, but that was impossible in today's episode. On Friday, John orchestrated a situation that made Robert shout at their nephew Harry. John had asked the young lad to play his toy drum around Robert, knowing the loud banging would trigger him. The plan worked in John's favour, because Robert snapped and scared the boy. John arrived right on time and hugged Harry, acting like the hero once more. With Harry out of the room, John made a great effort to tell Robert that his behaviour is totally unpredictable. John used this to his advantage again by telling Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) all about it. She confronted her brother in the latest instalment of the ITV soap, saying that she can no longer leave Harry alone with him. Prior to this, John had handed Robert a business card for a therapist but as far as he was concerned, Robert was beyond help. John twisted the knife in further by calling Robert a waste of space so when Vic confronted him, her words made him spiral even more. Unleashing his emotions, Robert completely trashed his bedroom. He ripped shirts up, smashed mugs, and very nearly hit Aaron with a vase, who had arrived after hearing the commotion outside. Aaron managed to calm Robert down. A while later, he spoke about his time in prison and how he's now accepted it has impacted him more than he realised. Robert and Aaron, dubbed Robron by fans, kissed shortly after this conversation. They ended up in bed together, and neither of them really wanted to leave, basking in the glow and enjoying the quiet, safe environment. As they chatted, Aaron missed a call from John, and failed to realise that he was outside the house. John was chatting to Vic, but neither of them entered due to other distractions. Back in the bedroom, Aaron and Robert chatted. They concluded that thinking about the sex and their chemistry wasn't the main priority now, because they are both living complicated lives. But, unlike Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), there was a little bit of hope. 'God knows I've made you wait', Robert said. 'It's my turn to be patient'. Aaron put his hand on Robert's shoulder. They didn't really say much, but they didn't need to. It's obvious the connection they have still hasn't dissipated. Peter Andre's son Theo asks heartbreaking question amid Princess 'feud'

Peter Andre has revealed that his eight-year-old son Theo asked him a tough question during a family holiday last week, amid the 'feud' between him and ex-wife Katie Price. Peter Andre has revealed that his son Theo, eight, put him on the spot last week during their family holiday with a heart-breaking question. The Mysterious Girl singer, 52, took to his weekly New! Magazine column to share an update after his trip to Cyprus with wife Emily MacDonagh and their children, revealing how Theo asked if they could move abroad permanently. ‌ The request comes as Peter has been hitting the headlines this week for his strained relationship with ex-wife Katie Price, after their daughter Princess took to the screen with her own ITV show - which Katie claims to be blocked out of by Peter and his management team. While Princess Andre recently declared she's 'independent' from parents as she broke her silence amid the row. ‌ Taking his mind off of the drama, Peter said of his holiday: "We're home from beautiful Cyprus and life is back to normal. It's always incredible spending time with the family, especially in our Cyprus home because they have been going there since they were babies. It actually got too hot because there was a heatwave and it knocked us for six – even I struggled with it. But Theo in particular was very sad to leave and, as always, asked if we could stay or even move there." ‌ "Sadly, life doesn't always work like that and school is starting again soon! But he'll be counting the days until we can return – hopefully when it's a bit cooler." Peter shares Theo, Amelia and Arabella with his wife Emily, and eldest children Princess and Junior with Katie. While he kept quiet on the recent controversy surrounding Princess, he did share in the column how proud he is of the 18-year-old. "I'm extremely proud of Princess and her show. I think she's absolutely smashed it. She's come across just how she is and how we know her to be – funny, quirky and kind. The response to The Princess Diaries has been phenomenal," he said. Hopefully, she can do season two, three, four – whatever she wants to do– and soar like an eagle because she's a great kid and I'm so proud of her." While Katie often talks publicly about her children and ex Peter, the latter often stays silent on his former marriage. However, after Katie claimed on a recent podcast that their children live with her, amid other accusations, Peter took to Instagram with a statement. ‌ He wrote: "For 16 years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today.' "The latest comments about my children's welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement.' He added, 'I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.' He went on to state that the courts found Katie 'had made false claims' on two separate occasions, in 2011 and 2015, and that 'she was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise to me and my management'. In a parting shot, Peter implied this was just the start of his fight-back, writing that her 'baseless accusations' would be 'dealt with in the coming months'.
