Quarters for MLAs, officials in Amaravati to be ready by December: Narayana
Mr. Narayana, accompanied by engineers of the A.P. Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) and other senior officials, inspected the ongoing infrastructure development works and directed officials to adhere to the set timelines.
He also reviewed the progress of housing and other official buildings meant for legislators and senior government officers. According to the Minister, 90% of the required manpower has been deployed, and machinery is expected to be fully mobilised by the end of July. Internal works are being prioritised during the monsoon to avoid weather-related delays.
Mr. Narayana stressed that, unlike the previous YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government—which he said created hardships for farmers and contractors—the current administration is proceeding with legal clarity in the tendering process.
Reaffirming the goal of completing Amaravati's core infrastructure within three years, he said 72 companies have been allotted land in the capital region. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has personally interacted with these companies, and most have committed to starting work by December, he added.
The Minister also mentioned that discussions on the second phase of the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS 2.0) would be taken up by a Cabinet Sub-Committee. Meanwhile, representatives from Norman Fosters are scheduled to meet contractors soon to review the progress of Amaravati's iconic building projects.

Bheemunipatnam MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao has assured that all basic amenities will be provided at the mega housing project coming up across 690 acres at Tangudubilli in Anandapuram mandal. Of the proposed 16,996 houses under the project, 2,036 have already been completed. The MLA conducted a field-level inspection of the project site on Tuesday. Speaking to the media later, he criticised the previous YSRCP government, alleging that the housing policy was designed to benefit party leaders under the guise of the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS). He said the former government had failed to ensure basic infrastructure in the area. 'Houses were allotted to beneficiaries living in Visakhapatnam city, nearly 30 km away, while ignoring eligible applicants from the village itself,' he pointed out. Reaffirming the coalition government's commitment, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that 3 cents of land in rural areas and 2 cents in urban areas would be allocated to eligible beneficiaries. He also highlighted the plight of those who had availed loans for TIDCO houses and are now struggling to repay them. The MLA interacted with three beneficiaries over the phone to gather feedback on the quality of the housing units and the challenges faced. He later spoke to District Collector M.N. Harendhira Prasad and urged immediate steps to provide essential amenities such as power, drinking water, internal roads, and drainage systems. Expressing displeasure over the absence of the contractor during his visit, Mr. Srinivasa Rao said he had received multiple complaints regarding the quality of construction. He directed officials to intensify monitoring and ensure quality standards are upheld. Housing PD Sattibabu, Executive Engineer Suri Babu, and MRO S. Suri Babu were present during the visit. Later, under the 'Suparipalana lo Tholi Adugu' programme, the MLA conducted a door-to-door campaign in Tangudubilli village and interacted with residents. The govt issued notices to farmers for the acquisition of about 334 acres in Palnadu district and 200 acres in Guntur district for the proposed railway line to the capital city.
