Patrick Dempsey portrayed Dr. Shepherd from 2005-2015 and 2020-2021. Dr. Shepherd is often referred to as MCDREAMY by the other characters (and thus, by fans as well).
DUST STORM (7D: Common weather event at Burning Man) Burning Man is a week-long event held annually in the Western United States. Burning Man aims to facilitate a network of people interested in the "pursuit of a more creative and connected existence in the world." The name of the event comes from the burning of a large wooden effigy each year on the Saturday evening before Labor Day. Burning Man is held in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada, and DUST STORMs are common.

The exclamation point in today's title is serving a similar purpose. Each of the theme answers is literally something that might be SCRATCHed. Filming a cooking show is no easy task. As someone who's done it before, I can attest that it's full of long days, tired feet, and way too much leftover food. Celebrity chef Ree Drummond knows this scenario all too well, having filmed her Food Network show "The Pioneer Woman" in her ranch lodge (which you can tour!) since 2011. And when the cameras stop rolling, someone has to eat all that food -- it turns out it's usually her family. Drummond and her husband, Ladd Drummond, have five children. The pair welcomed four kids in the years after their marriage, and their fifth child, Jamar, joined the family in 2018. This means Drummond has plenty of mouths to feed, so her food has plenty of places to go. Drummond revealed on her blog in 2020 that her kids and husband eat the leftover food. And if it's too much even for her family to enjoy, she turns to others: her hard-working crew. " If my family doesn't finish it off, the crew definitely will," Drummond said. With that said, there could be times when Drummond has anywhere from 12 to 16 leftover recipes -- and maybe some she regrets making -- to dole out to those around her. But as of 2025, all of Drummond's kids are out of the house, with Alex and Paige both married, and Bryce, Todd, and Jamar all in college. That's likely where Drummond's crew steps in. While the kids are still home often to visit, they aren't around every time Drummond films an episode, which fans know just from watching. With that said, Drummond has mentioned she has a film crew of between 15 and 20 people, so it seems she will never have to worry about having more leftovers than she knows what to do with. Child-Free People, What Are The Wildest Things Parents Have Said When They Learned You Don't Want Kids
Whether or not you choose to have children is honestly nobody's business but your own, but that doesn't stop other adults from weighing in with their unsolicited takes. Considering this, I wanted to hear from you — our BuzzFeed Community. If you've chosen to be child-free, what has been the wildest reaction from parents around you? Maybe you and your partner are friends with a couple who have three children. They're always running on fumes and expressing how exhausted and stressed they are. However, when you both mentioned that you'll be remaining child-free, they gasped and claimed you weren't doing your part to keep the world turning. As if it's all up to you. Related: Or, maybe you told your parents you had no interest in procreating, and they guilted you for robbing them of their only chance at being able to right all the wrongs they committed when raising you.
