RG Snyman celebrates Leinster win with boozy shower
Springbok RG Snyman – affectionately known as the 'Viking' is celebrating his club Leinster's United Rugby Championship title win after beating the Bulls over the weekend.
The Irish club beat the Pretoria team 32 -7 in Dublin on Saturday, 14 June.
The tallest player in the South African team has played in Ireland – at both Munster and Leinster – for the past five years. He was recently named the URC's Players' Player of the Season.
On his Instagram account, both RG Snyman and his wife, Saskia, shared a look at the celebrations.
This involved plenty of dancing, beer chugging, and silly locker room antics.

RG Snyman – nicknamed the 'Viking' – moved to Ireland in 2020 when he signed with the Munster Club. Last year, Snyman signed with the rival Irish club of Leinster. He has been living abroad for the past five years, making him eligible for residency.
However, the Springbok has declined the offer.
Speaking to the Irish Independent , RG Snyman says he signed to Leinster ahead of the 2024/2025 season as his family were 'settled' in the country.
'I'm enjoying the culture in Ireland and the people . . . that's why we really wanted to stay', he added.

'Coaches make it seem like I'm 38'
Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau feels he still has a lot to offer and has criticised those who have written him off. The 31-year-old winger has not been at his best for nearly two years. His poor form at the national team forced Hugo Broos to drop him for the first time last year. He made his return to Bafana Bafana earlier this year but struggled to find the back of the net. Speaking to Robert Marawa last week, Percy Tau felt he still had a lot to contribute to the national team. 'I still feel that I can contribute to the country; yes, there are performances that put doubts or questions but that does not make you a bad player at all, and it does not change who I am,' he told 94.7′ s MSW . 'My name will never change; I'm still Percy, and I'll always try and give my best.' 'Yes, there are players that are doing well, but then do you only want to have the younger ones only in the national team and take all the other ones? 'Football is a sport where there are phases, you'll have your lows, you'll have your highs, but then do we kick him out when he's having his lows?' Tau continued. 'I don't feel that should be the approach because we are going to have a problem with what it means to play for the national team. 'And we don't want that to happen to anyone where they are now starting to feel different about going to the national team, like you only support me when I'm doing well. 'I feel that it should always be balanced. You want to have the younger ones, and you want to have the older ones, and by the way, I'm still 31 years old, the coaches make it seem like I'm 38,' said the Bafana star. Percy Tau left Al Ahly earlier this year to play in Qatar, but only lasted four months. The former Mamelodi Sundowns star is now a free agent and expressed his desire to return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL). From Varsity Cup to the Springbok squad — Rassie Erasmus says Makhaza will have his day in the green and gold
The rise of varsity student Ntokozo Makhaza from nowhere to the Springbok squad is a heartening story that gives the youth in South Africa hope that their dreams can come true. The 23-year-old from Harrismith in the Free State is studying for a degree in psychology and social development at the University of Cape Town where he has also been an amateur rugby player for Ikeys in the Varsity Cup. A month ago, Rassie Erasmus called Makhaza to invite him to the Springbok alignment camp, but he thought it was a prank call at first. Ikey's had won the Varsity Cup and Makhaza was the Player of the Tournament, as he was last year, too. Erasmus has been watching and was so impressed with the wing's performances — yes, Big Brother Rassie watches everything — that he wanted to find out more. 'Macky,' as he is known to his teammates, duly attended the camp, and Erasmus has reflected on the newcomer's participation. 'It's been a pleasure to work with him,' Erasmus said. 'He's consistently been the top Varsity Cup player, and especially in terms of point scoring, probably one of the best in the competition's history. 'You sometimes wonder, is this one of those players who slipped through the cracks? It's been good to see what he brings.'
