Rekha was madly in love with THIS actor, his wife allegedly caught them red-handed in a hotel room, then..., the actor is...
Rekha is an iconic figure in Indian cinema. Besides being a phenomenal actress, her irresistible charm is what drives audiences crazy. As glittering as her professional career was, her personal life at times has been as dramatic as her on-screen roles. Her rumoured relationships have massively dominated media headlines and is discussed widely among fans. When Rekha grew close to this superstar behind the scenes?
One of the most intriguing rumour that caught everyone's eye was her alleged relationship with Indian film legend Kamal Haasan. Reports suggest that while shooting for Yash Chopra's Silsila , Rekha had also signed a Tamil film titled Meendum Kokila with Haasan and Sridevi in 1981.
The two allegedly developed a close bond during the shoot, which went unfamiliar by many at that time. However things escalated when Kamal's then-wife, Vani Ganapathy, caught them red-handed together in a hotel room. What journalist had to say?
According to Rediff's report, a Tamil Journalist once talked about the matter concerning Haasan and Rekha. He had said, 'In late 1979, I was working at the Hotel Chola Sheraton in Chennai. One night, when I reported for work, I found the place in a tizzy. As the girls in reception told the story, Kamal Haasan and Rekha Ganesan were in the latter's room in the hotel when Kamal's then-wife Vani Ganapathy landed up and gave her husband a public dressing down.'
Reports than soon emerged that Rekha was replaced by Malayalam actress Deepa in the project. However, neither Rekha nor Kamal has ever addressed this incident publicly, and it still remains unclear.
In 1988, Kamal Haasan officially ended his 10-year marriage with Vani Ganapathy. Their marriage began to face troubles after Kamal started working closely with actress Sarika. Eventually, reports came out that Sarika was pregnant with Kamal's child. They have two daughters- Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan.

When Anushka Sharma reacted to losing her debut award to Asin: 'I got very upset...'
The year 2008 marked the arrival of two different yet impactful female leads in Bollywood—Anushka Sharma, who made her debut with Shah Rukh Khan in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi,' and Asin, who was in the movie with Aamir Khan in 'Ghajini. ' Both performances were lauded, both films were box office successes, and both actresses were nominated. Although when the envelope opened, it was Asin who took home the trophy. 'I was very upset… I cried like a child' In a resurfaced 2018 interview on 'Look Who's Talking With Niranjan,' Anushka candidly recalled her heartbreak, saying, 'I'm very upset they didn't give it to me. I made my calculation, you know. Asin had already done Ghajini in Tamil, Telugu, and maybe Kannada. She's already been an actress for many years. Obviously, they won't give it to her! Debut toh mera hua hai, main nayi hoon, maine nayi film mein kaam kiya hai. I need the encouragement.' In spite of clapping for Asin during the ceremony, Anushka admitted she was devastated afterwards, as she said, 'I cried like a child—as if I didn't get a certificate in school.' The 'debut' debate: Fresh face vs. first Hindi film Anushka's frustration was not just all personal; it became a larger industry debate. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo The question though lies what truly defines a debut? While 'Ghajini' was Asin's first Hindi film, she was already a popular star in South Indian cinema. Anushka, on the other hand, was a complete newcomer, stepping into the spotlight with no prior screen experience. This distinction, Anushka felt, should have mattered. She emphasised, 'She's already an actress. I was new. I needed the encouragement.' A-Sin or just a sin? In a cheeky moment on 'Koffee With Karan,' Anushka even referred to Asin as 'A-Sin,' a pun that reflected her lingering disappointment. While said as a joke, it ignored how deeply the moment had affected her. Where they stand today Asin stepped away from acting after 'All Is Well,' choosing to focus on family life. Anushka, meanwhile, has shaped herself into one of the Bollywood's most respected actors and producers. Her upcoming film 'Chakda 'Xpress,' which is based on the cricketer Jhulan Goswami, is among the most expected biopics in recent memory.

When Dilip Kumar secretly tied the knot with another woman while being married to Saira Banu for 16 years, she is now…
Dilip Kumar, the original heartthrob of Indian cinema, shocked everyone when he married at 44 — to the then 22-year-old Saira Banu. What began as a fairytale romance turned rocky sixteen years later when his secret marriage to another woman, Asma Rehman, surfaced. The revelation wasn't made in the family, but in the newspapers — and it broke Saira. A match made at a match? In his memoir, The Substance and The Shadow, Dilip revealed that he first met Asma during a cricket match in Hyderabad. At first glance, she appeared to be a married woman with three children. But slowly, Dilip began noticing unsettling patterns — like Asma and her husband turning up wherever he went. He later wrote, 'I was completely unaware of a connivance that was being mischievously perpetuated…' The affair that lasted two years The relationship, spanning 1981–1983, was something Dilip deeply regretted. 'I can never forget or forgive myself for the hurt I caused to Saira…' Asma's intentions became clearer with time, and Dilip eventually confessed to Saira. While heartbroken, the actress stood by him, but not without him taking responsibility. A written apology, a repaired marriage Dilip requested time to legally end his second marriage. Before finalising the divorce, he reaffirmed his loyalty in a written 'letter of commitment' to Saira and her family, promising never to marry again. Dilip Kumar would later describe this chapter as one orchestrated by 'divine purpose,' one that nearly destroyed their marriage but ultimately deepened their emotional bond. The two remained together until his passing in 2021 — a love story tarnished, but not broken.
