Vir Das says Sitaare Zameen Par takes away everyone from the constant "action overload" in the Indian films.
Comedian Vir Das is really impressed with Aamir Khan's latest release, Sitaare Zameen Par. On Saturday morning, he took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle and praised the makers for bringing something fresh and 'meaningful" for the audience. Vir Das called the film 'the best comedy" and stated that it takes away everyone from the constant 'action overload". He also urged everyone to visit the theatres and watch the movie.

Made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par stars Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles, along with 10 rising stars. The lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The screenplay is written By Divy Nidhi Sharma. The film is produced by Aamir Khan and Aparna Purohit, with Ravi Bhagchandka as the producer.
Directed by R. S. Prasanna, the film hit theatres on June 20th and received largely positive reviews. News18 Showsha also gave Aamir Khan's film a 3-star rating. 'It's a celebration of neurodiversity, makes a strong statement about inclusivity, breaks down stigmas surrounding it, and makes you think about what 'the other kind of normal' is," a part of our review read.
Meanwhile, Sitaare Zameen Par earned Rs 8.87 crore on its opening day in India.

‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu': Pawan Kalyan's film locks a release date
After multiple delays, Pawan Kalyan's movie Hari Hara Veera Mallu has locked its latest release date. The pan-Indian movie, originally shot in Telugu, is directed by Jyothi Krishna and Krish Jagarlamudi. The makers first aimed to release the movie on March 29, 2025. However, the big-budget movie got pushed to May 09, 2025. Owing to delays in the post-production work, Hari Hara Veera Mallu thengot postponed to June 12, 2025. The movie is produced by A Dayakar Rao under the banner Mega Surya Productions. Veteran producer AM Rathnam will present the movie, which will be dubbed in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam. Anupam Kher, Jisshu Sengupta, Nargis Fakhri, M Nassar, Sunil, Raghu Babu, Subbaraju and Nora Fatehi are the other actors in the movie. The film will have music from Oscar-award winning composer MM Keeravani, while Manoj Paramahamsa has served as the cinematographer. Veteran Thota Tharani is the art director of the movie.

Prince and Family hit JioHotstar on June 20 onwards, after completing a successful theatrical run. The movie is directed by a debutant filmmaker Binto Stephen and received mixed reviews at the time of its theatrical release. And now, within a day of its launch on OTT, social media has already been filled with reviews left by audiences who watched the film online. Here's how they felt about the movie. Prince and Family OTT verdict Well, a majority of viewers agreed that Prince and Family is a decent movie which can indeed be enjoyed with family and within a varied age group. The film's starting, as many have credited, was so well woven that none of the viewers were able to comprehend what was next in store for them. Nonetheless, there were still some traces of poor direction and disappointing writing in some quite evident places. Actor Dileep's performance was well-rounded and has been tagged as the driving force of the entire narrative. His perfect comic timing and charm attempted to outlive certain flaws like 'being cringey' and 'forced humor'.
