EastEnders schedule shake-up sparks 'technical error' as fans spot Jack Branning blunder

Daily Mirror22-07-2025
EastEnders fans were left baffled during Tuesday's episode as they noticed a blunder due to the ongoing Summer schedule changes taking place due to sporting events
EastEnders fans spotted a blunder on DI Jack Branning's (Scott Maslen) work computer during tonight's episode - and it's all down to the schedule changes.

Tonight's episode of EastEnders picked up after last night's cliff hanger, in which Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) was arrested by Jack Branning over possession with intent to supply. Today, we saw Ravi being questioned in the police station as Priya's house was searched by the police.

However, Ravi wasn't giving in to the officers as he offered "no comment" to all of their questions. Ravi's solicitor then asked for a further private consultation with his client, as the officer in the room was forced to leave the room and suspend the interview. As he left the room, he told his solicitor he needed him to get a message to someone for him - but it was the next part that left fans scratching their heads.

The officer questioning Ravi joined Jack outside who was re watching the interview on his computer. "I reckon he's sweating," Jack said about Ravi. The date and time were pinned at the top of Jack's computer, with some eagle-eyed fans noticing the date said 23/7 instead of today's date, 22/7.
"This is very particular but did anyone notice Jack's computer date said 23/7?" asked one fan on Reddit. "Defo done before schedule changes came into play."

The soap has undergone a number of schedule changes over the summer as huge sporting events including Wimbledon and the UEFA Women's Euros broadcast on the BBC.
This week, the soap is undergoing another huge schedule shake-up, as the soap will be taken off air tomorrow night (July 23).

This is due to the Women's Euros second semi-final airing on the BBC from 7.30pm tomorrow night, which will see Germany take on Spain for a place in the all important final.
To make up for the soap being off air on Wednesday, a double bill aired on Monday, meaning tonight's episode was originally meant to air on Wednesday, hence the date 'blunder'.
EastEnders isn't the only soap undergoing schedule changes this week. Emmerdale has been taken off air tonight as the first Women's Euros semi-final, which will see England take on Italy in an attempt to secure their spot in the final.
Fans can relax again from next week, as EastEnders will be airing in its usual 7.30pm slot from Monday to Thursday, and as always, will be available to stream on iPlayer from 6am that morning.

She revealed one image showed them finding the reptile in the singer's Tennessee garden earlier this year, while the second saw them coming across another in the English countryside. Since the couple announced their romance, things have only gone from strength to strength, with Billy recently dubbing Liz the 'love of his life'. Earlier this week the father of famed singer Miley Cyrus shared a snap of himself posing in a pair of reflective sunglasses while playing the guitar after flying across the pond for the Bedazzled's star's birthday. He looked incredible relaxed in the photograph as he was surrounded by the sun-soaked English countryside. Alongside his post he penned: 'Happy Sunday y'all. Loving my first English summer'. After tagging Elizabeth in the caption, she commented: 'Happy days' under the post. The pair's relationship began following his divorce from Firerose - and his third marriage. He had met Elizabeth on set of the 2022 movie Christmas In Paradise and as he was navigating through the split, he received a message from Liz. 'I felt like, "Wow, can life get any harder? Can it get any tougher?" For me, at a certain point it was like, you can't get knocked down any flatter than laying on your back when life is kicking you. And in this moment... a friend reached out.' Famous friends and fans were quick to gush over the images, with Elizabeth's son Damian, 23, showing his approval for the romance with a string of love heart emojis Earlier this week Billy shared a snap of himself posing in a pair of reflective sunglasses while playing the guitar after flying across the pond for the Bedazzled's star's birthday Billy then tried to recall the contents of the message and explained she had said, 'Hey, it looks like life might be a little bit tough and just wanted you to know I'm in your corner; you've got a friend in your corner.' When he first received the text, the performer revealed that at first he didn't know who the message was from. 'So, I text back, I go, "Who is this?" And it's like, "Elizabeth Hurley." Of all the people to reach out to me in that second that maybe I needed most… this friend who made me laugh.' He later gushed that the actress is 'a great human being' and also 'impressively brilliant.' 'She reminds me a lot of Dolly Parton. She's a very smart businesswoman. If you can laugh together, you can make it through everything.' The star also reflected on how he has also gotten close to his girlfriend's son Damian as well. 'It's great that God brought them into my life when he did. It's just a good thing. It's been a long time since I've been this happy.' Miley's mum Tish Cyrus was previously married to Billy from 1993 until their divorce was finalized in 2023. Billy shares daughter Miley as well as Noah, 25, and Braison, 31, with Tish. He also became stepfather to her other two children from a previous relationship: Brandi, 38, and Trace, 36. He is also dad to son Christopher, 33, whom he welcomed with ex Kristen Luckey. Liz lives in her £6million 13-bedroom estate in Herefordshire with son Damian, who she welcomed with the late Steve Bing. The sprawling Georgian estate, which is Elizabeth's main home, also boasts five bathrooms and its own lake. She has owned Donnington Hall since 2012 that she bought with her then-fiance, Shane Warne who passed away in March 2022. While it is not clear when Elizabeth and Billy exactly started dating, they have known each other for a number of years, having both starred in 2022's Christmas in Paradise.
