Caveman Skin Trend: Why is it getting viral and popular among teens
Several glitzy product-haul videos pale in comparison to the 178 million views that clips with the hashtags #cavemanskincare and #cavemanregimen have received on TikTok. Since creator Tia Zakher (@tiazakher) posted a brief video stating that her objective is to repair her skin barrier through the caveman regime, it has become a real trend among teens.
If you've no idea about the caveman skin trend, you might be living in the Stone Age. Going bare is the main goal of this skincare trend. No makeup, no sunscreen, no moisturizer, and no washing —just your own skin in the hopes that it will cure acne. This surely takes you back to the prehistoric era when you wash your face with just water. However, we are all aware of the skincare that is currently resting in glory on our shelves, if not in a pile.
What does the Caveman Skin Trend claim?
Thousands of creators are filming themselves doing virtually nothing to their skin—no moisturizers, cleansers, sunscreen, and occasionally even water—instead of chasing every new serum. The promise is enticingly straightforward: if our Paleolithic ancestors survived without niacinamide or glycolic acid, maybe today's complexions can do the same.
According to several beauty bloggers, it will restore your skin's natural attractiveness and repair it.

What baffles us, though, is how we can still be cavemen in the twenty-first century when the air we breathe is more contaminated than the air we exhale.
Why is this trend being called a fad by many?
It is not supported by any scientific evidence. There must be much more than anecdotal proof for us to support a skincare trend. Furthermore, people have been manufacturing soap since 2800 B.C. So, ditching the soap may not be the best skincare practice. Secondly, the sun's rays are far more harmful than before due to widening ozone layer depletion.
Saying nada to a sunscreen may cause oxidative stress to the skin, causing more dark spots and pigmentation.
And even if you find the 'caveman skin' concept appealing
See a dermatologist.
Instead of using facewash, use a cleanser. Aloe vera can be used as a mask and moisturizer.
Only on the weekends can you go all caveman to give your skin a chance to reset.
Avoid going outside in the sun during the day.
Always consult your doctor
Since some people are exposed to fewer possible irritants, they may find success with this method, but it may not be effective for everyone. Teens with hormonal acne should speak with a dermatologist or other skincare specialist who can offer individualized guidance and therapies depending on their unique circumstances.

‘Filmmaking is my first love, acting happened by accident'
Tharun Bhascker burst onto the scene with Pelli Choopulu, a film that not only revitalised Telugu rom-coms but also cemented his reputation as a bold new voice in indie storytelling. What truly sets him apart, however, is the seamless transition he's made from director to actor — an evolution few filmmakers attempt, and even fewer pull off. What began as blink-and-miss cameos in his own films gradually evolved into complex, meatier roles that showcased his versatility. Today, he stands as a rare talent who wears multiple hats — director, actor, voice actor and writer. In a candid chat with Hyderabad Times, Tharun reflects on this shift from calling the shots to taking direction, his upcoming projects, and why the director in him will always have the final word. 'Adapting to a Godavari accent changed a lot for me' Currently shooting for the Telugu remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, Tharun steps into a role that's a stark departure from his real-life persona. 'He's a deeply insecure man who asserts dominance in disturbing ways — that felt completely alien to me,' he shares. The challenge, however, was part of the appeal. 'It pushed me to tap into emotions I didn't even know I had. I had to unlearn my Telangana accent and adopt a Godavari dialect. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch CFD với công nghệ và tốc độ tốt hơn IC Markets Đăng ký Undo That lived-in experience changed me as a performer. I feel more prepared now to write characters from that region with authenticity,' he says. 'I don't mind being the antagonist or even just a side character' Though he's received acclaim for his on-screen performances in films like Sita Ramam and Mahanati, the National Award-winning director is clear about priorities: 'I treat acting as a secondary profession. Directing is my core.' That clarity gives him space to explore unusual or offbeat roles. 'I'm not chasing the lead role. I don't mind playing the antagonist or a quirky side character — even if it doesn't always work in my favour. ' His approach has become more fluid over time. 'Initially, acting felt lonely and mentally draining. Your success depends on so many external things — dialogues, styling, promotions. And when it fails, it feels personal, even if it's not.' 'We seek therapy in cinema — it becomes a shared emotion' Cinema, for Tharun, is more than a profession, it's a social and emotional ritual. 'We're just cinema lovers,' he says. 'I see a lot of people crying after watching movies who usually don't cry. I think it evokes some sense of emotion inside them… it's like therapy for us. Movies have a similar effect, if not more. That's why we have a religious attachment towards films, its makers and the heroes we worship.' 'I still see myself as a timid, introverted person' Acting may seem like a natural progression for many filmmakers, but for Tharun, it came more by accident than design. 'I've always been timid and introverted — I still am. Entering the industry pushed me far out of my comfort zone,' he says. However, support from some of his close friends played a pivotal role in marking the shift. 'People like Vishwak Sen, Vijay Deverakonda and Nag Ashwin really encouraged me. But a rude awakening came during Pelli Choopulu promotions when I was trolled for something I said on a TV promo. That's when I realised how brutal public life can be. People will judge everything except your actual talent.' Quote: Comedy has always been my comfort zone, but I'm a huge fan of the Russo Brothers and their exploration of darker themes like death and grief. Will Rajinikanth and Mani Ratnam Reunite? The 'Thug Life' director breaks the silence on the possibility
Veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam , who is gearing up for the release of Thug Life with Kamal Haasan , recently addressed the long-standing curiosity about a potential reunion with superstar Rajinikanth . Their iconic collaboration on ' Thalapathi ' (1991) remains a cinematic benchmark. Speaking to News18, Mani Ratnam kept the door open for a future team-up but didn't make any promises. 'I think you should ask Rajini sir,' he said, smiling. 'You never know. After 'Thug Life,' I'm planning a break. I have four scripts floating in my head, but none are locked yet. If they don't work out, that might be it,' he added, leaving fans with hope and intrigue. A nostalgic look at 'Thalapathi' For those who came in late, 'Thalapathi' was a celebrated reimagining of the Karna-Duryodhana bond from the Mahabharata, featuring Rajinikanth as Surya, an orphan with a golden heart raised in the slums. His bond with gangster Deva (played by Mammootty) becomes the emotional backbone of the story, further complicated by the arrival of a principled district collector who shares a hidden bloodline with Surya. The film also marked the debut of Arvind Swamy and featured Ilaiyaraaja's unforgettable score. 'Thug Life' promises a gritty comeback for Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan Currently, Mani Ratnam is in the spotlight for 'Thug Life,' his much-awaited gangster drama starring Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, and a star-studded ensemble. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Pfinztal: GEERS sucht 700 Testhörer für Hörgeräte ohne Zuzahlung GEERS Undo The film revolves around Rangaraaya Sakthivel Naicker (Haasan), an aging don who grooms his foster son Amaran to succeed him—only to be betrayed.
