A rare brace of tries from forward Cameron Smith set Leeds Rhinos on their way to a fourth straight Super League win, piling on the misery for Challenge Cup final losers Warrington Wolves.Smith came off the interchange bench to break down some strong Wire defence in the first half, and with the in-form Jake Connor adding the conversion and a penalty, the home side had breathing space at half-time.The Wolves' spirited performance fell apart in the second half as Smith added another and tries from Brodie Croft, Tom Holroyd, Connor and Morgan Gannon ensured they stayed in touch with top two Hull Kingston Rovers and Wigan Warriors.A superb try from Jake Thewlis had given Warrington brief hope, Ben Currie added a late consolation score and Marc Sneyd's two conversions saw him overhaul Andy Farrell to go fourth in the all-time Super League kickers' list with 1,027 goals.More to follow

Tyson Fury is on opposite side to brother Tommy for Soccer Aid

The 'Gypsy King' is set to swap the gloves for the boots this weekend at Old Trafford - but he will not be the first member of the Fury family to feature at Soccer Aid Tyson Fury will play a key role in this weekend's Soccer Aid clash - but will be on the opposite side to brother Tommy who featured last year. This year's Soccer Aid will return to Old Trafford, home to Manchester United, on Sunday. England go into the showdown having won last year's encounter after defeating the World XI 6-3. Once again, many big names are set to feature, including Jill Scott, Tom Grennan, Sir Mo Farah and Joe Hart. ‌ Fury will be co-managing the team alongside Rooney this weekend. After it was confirmed that the 'Gyspy King' will be involved, he said: 'ENGLAND MANAGER! Who would ever have thought it!? I have had some big fights in my career and the prospect of leading my England team to victory this June fills me with just as much excitement as any heavyweight fight. ‌ "Everyone knows that I am a huge Manchester United fan too, so it's even more special for me that the game is at Old Trafford this year – and I get to manage one of my heroes, Wayne Rooney! How can we lose!? The work UNICEF does all around the world is so special and so important. I really hope that you can come along and support us this summer.' Fury's Soccer Aid debut comes a year after younger brother Tommy made a name for himself after featuring for the World XI side. Despite being born and raised in Manchester, he chose to play for the Rest of the World, as he was eligible through his mother Chantal, who is of Mauritian descent. On the pitch, the 26-year-old forgot a key rule in football - as he took a throw-in underarm. During the first half of the match, he showed that he may be best suited to sticking with boxing. After seeing Alessandro Del Piero making a darting run, Fury found Italy's World Cup winner in quite a bizarre way. Instead of throwing the ball overhead, the boxer opted to roll the ball underarm to the Italian - with referee Rebecca Welch rightly awarding England the throw-in after Fury's illegal play. His World XI boss Mauricio Pochettino and watching fans could not believe what they were seeing - with many quick to take a swipe at 'TNT.' His rival KSI quickly posted: " Tommy Fury should stick to boxing lmao, he's terrible at football," he tweeted. Fans agreed with KSI's claim about Fury as they made their feelings known online. One X user wrote: "Tommy Fury might be the worst footballer I've ever seen live." A second tweeted: "Tommy Fury is absolutely a** as footballer." A third added: "I don't know if this makes sense but Tommy Fury plays football exactly how you'd imagine a boxer how to play football." A fourth joked: "I've had Soccer Aid on for two minutes & Tommy Fury could be the worst footballer I've ever seen." Another said: "Is Tommy fury the least coordinated man in all of human history?" Despite the rather embarrassing cameo, Fury was rather looking forward to showing off his skills after swapping the gloves for the football boots. Speaking ahead of the match, he said: 'Training's been going amazingly, the World team is in great form and in good spirits. "There's always nerves and anxiety but I think we've got another win in the bag. I'll probably slide tackle Eddie Hearn for Tyson! If I get a goal I'll be doing a celebration for Bambi. Molly will be there cheering me on but Bambi will be cheering for me in her dreams as her bedtime is 6:45pm. The game will be really different to my boxing where all the pressure is on me to win, I've come to training and had a great time in the team. Everyone's here having fun and it's for a great cause, it's probably my favourite four days of the year.'

Sunday's briefing: England U21s continue Euros defence as PSG begin CWC campaign

Football continues on both sides of the Atlantic with England Under-21s continuing the defence of their European Championship title and Champions League winners Paris St Germain kicking-off their Club World Cup campaign. Under-21s boss Carsley expects more England Under-21s boss Carsley insisted his side still had plenty to improve on, despite a winning start at the European Championship. Goals from Harvey Elliott, Jonathan Rowe and Charlie Cresswell saw Croatia defeated 3-1, with Sunday's game against Slovenia providing a chance to cement their place in the knockout rounds. 'It might seem a bit clunky at times, unstructured, but I thought the players took on board what we tried to do, lots of positives, the Czechs had good chances as well so lots to improve,' said Carsley. 'The longer I feel we can stay in the competition, the more clean our play will become.' Dembele has Ballon d'Or dreams Champions League winner Ousmane Dembele is chasing the 'holy grail' of the Ballon d'Or. The forward's performances were integral to Paris St Germain's inaugural triumph in Europe's premier club competition but having conquered that challenge, the 28-year-old is looking to emulate his idol and former Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi. 'Winning a Ballon d'Or when you're a footballer is obviously the holy grail on an individual level. It's something you dream of as a child,' Dembele told France Football. 'I've had difficult years with injuries, weak performances as well. This season I think I've been consistent, so we'll see what happens. 'It would be exceptional to have my name on the list and to be one of the favourites is already a great victory, although I hope to win it one day. Bright future ahead for FC United FC United want to continue being an 'antidote' to modern football as the breakaway club celebrate their 20th anniversary. The Glazer family's controversial takeover at Manchester United was the catalyst for the club's foundation on June 14, 2005, offering an affordable, inclusive and fan-owned alternative for disenfranchised supporters. FCUM reached the National League North and built a 4,900-capacity stadium within a decade and now the goal is for the Northern Premier League Premier Division side to kick on again. 'I think the future's bright. I think we're about to enter into our next grand phase,' chair Nick Boom told the PA news agency. 'We've spent a lot of time trying to kind of get the club into a position where it's financially stable and it feels like we now have got to a position where we can kind of invest.' What's on today? Champions League winners Paris St Germain take on Atletico Madrid in an early glamour tie in the Club World Cup. Bayern Munich against Auckland City offers less allure. England Under-21s could secure progress to the European Championship knockout stage with victory over Slovenia.

SIR CLIVE WOODWARD: Ben Youngs made the WRONG decision in the final knockings of Leicester's defeat by Bath, I could not understand it. But in many ways it summed up his career

Saturday's Gallagher Premiership final was there for Leicester to snatch. But, ultimately, the best team won. Bath deserved to claim victory in the one-off title decider and they also deserved to be league champions because they were the division's superior side throughout the league campaign. Hats off to them and their head of rugby Johann van Graan.
