Amazon Deals of the Day: Light Up Your Home With Four TP-Link Smart Bulbs for Just $5 Each

CNET16-06-2025
Amazon sells a wide array of products, with new ones arriving across categories like home essentials, tech gear and wellness items daily. As much as the retailer giant loves adding new products, Amazon also loves cutting prices. But deciding which deals are worth grabbing (and which aren't) is a full-time job -- our job, specifically. That's why we scope out the top deals for you.
Today, we spotted a four-pack of Tapo TP-Link smart light bulbs down to just $20, which brings the cost to only $5 each. We also found the Kasa tilt indoor security camera down to its record low price of $20 as well. And finally, there's nothing like golfing in the summer. Enjoy a record low price on the RedTiger golf rangefinder, saving you $67.
Smart lights can greatly impact how your home looks and feels. A great affordable option are the Tapo TP-link A19 smart light bulbs. These bulbs have an added white LED bulb to help produce more exact colors. It has a color rendering index of greater than 90, meaning you'll be able to see more accurate colors and even reduce the strain and fatigue on your eyes with an adjustable brightness down down to just 16 lumens. You can turn the lights on and off from your phone and even set a schedule so they're on when you come home. And with away mode, it'll turn the lights on and off at random intervals to give the illusion that someone is home. You can score a four-pack of these smart bulbs now for just $20. That's a savings of $10 and drops each bulb down to five bucks. Just make sure to use code 2TAPO800LM to get the full discount.
Another great upgrade you can make to your house is an indoor security camera. Most of us have some version of video surveillance outside either though a video doorbell or a security camera, but what about the inside? The Kasa indoor pan/tilt camera is a great simple option. It has a decently clear HD resolution. It also has 360-degree rotation with 113-degree vertical tilt, giving you a full, clear view. Plus, the night vision feature can help you ensure everything is at it should be at night. One of my favorite features is the motion detection that sends alerts right to your phone when it notices activity. Plus, it supports two-way audio so you can easily chat with someone on the other end. Normally $30, you can score one at a record low of just 20 bucks right now.
Summer is in full swing and so are you on the golf course. For those that golf, you know a rangefinder can be a pretty essential tool while you're out on the course. The RedTiger golf rangefinder is equipped with 7X magnification and a range of five to 1,200 yards. It gives you a pretty high accuracy of +/-0.5 yards. This rangefinder also comes with a slope switch. This means the ballistic distance and degree of angle will only be displayed when the Slope switch is on. The rangefinder can be used a whopping 30,000 times per full charge so you don't have to worry about constantly having the charger on you. It normally runs for $160 but right now you can score over 40% off which brings the price down to $93, a record low.
With so many deals on Amazon, deciding which ones are worth your money can be difficult. But CNET's combed through what the world's largest online retailer has to offer and gathered the best deals for you to peruse.

BrightKey Showcases Purpose-Built Mail Screening Model for Corrections at ACA 2025

DENVER, August 21, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BrightKey, Inc., a national leader in secure mail screening, will highlight its purpose-built model for correctional facilities at the American Correctional Association (ACA) 2025 Congress of Correction in Denver, offering leaders a proven, service-driven solution to one of the field's most urgent challenges. For decades, BrightKey has safeguarded the mail streams of federal agencies, nonprofits, and major institutions. Unlike approaches that rely on devices or software alone, BrightKey delivers mail screening as a service—a comprehensive model built on defense-validated technology, cleared experts, disciplined processes, and trusted partnerships across the mail supply chain. Correctional facilities nationwide are confronting record levels of fentanyl and contraband entering through the mail, even as onsite technologies have expanded. The lesson is clear: equipment alone cannot keep pace with shifting threats. "Mail screening isn't solved by putting a gadget in a mailroom," said Zachry Bradshaw, Vice President of Business Development at BrightKey. "It requires expertise, accountability, and flexibility. Our purpose-built model keeps threats out by screening offsite, under controlled conditions, and returning only what is safe and secure." BrightKey's model operates as a complete offsite service from its secure facility, with options for hybrid integration when needed. Mail is redirected, screened under audit-ready standards, sealed in tamper-evident packaging, and returned through trusted carrier networks with full chain of custody. The process protects staff and inmates, reduces liability, and preserves the integrity of privileged communications. Often operating behind the scenes, BrightKey has played a critical role in protecting sensitive communications where failure is not an option. With its purpose-built correctional model, BrightKey now brings that same unseen discipline directly to corrections—offering the most effective service model of its kind, tested at scale and adaptable to evolving threats. ACA attendees can meet BrightKey representatives in Denver to learn how this model is redefining correctional mail security. About BrightKey BrightKey, Inc., headquartered in Annapolis, Maryland, is a trusted partner to federal agencies, corporations, and nonprofit organizations nationwide. With over 35 years of experience, BrightKey provides secure mail screening, fulfillment, and customer support solutions that protect organizations, enhance resilience, and safeguard communities. Oil prices gain as US inventory withdrawals point to strong demand

By Katya Golubkova TOKYO (Reuters) -Oil prices gained slightly on Thursday as larger-than-expected declines crude oil and fuel inventories in the U.S., the world's biggest oil user, supported expectations for steady demand. Brent crude futures were up 13 cents, or 0.19%, to $66.97 a barrel at 0055 GMT, after gaining 1.6% in the previous session. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose 15 cents, or 0.24%, to $62.86, after climbing 1.4% on Wednesday. U.S. crude inventories fell by 6 million barrels last week to 420.7 million barrels, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday, versus analysts' expectations in a Reuters poll for a 1.8 million-barrel draw. Gasoline stocks dropped by 2.7 million barrels, versus expectations for a 915,000-barrel draw, the EIA said, indicating steady driving demand during the summer travel season. That was also seen in a jump in the four-week average for jet fuel consumption to its highest since 2019. "Crude oil prices rebounded as signs of strong demand in the U.S. boosted sentiment," Daniel Hynes, senior commodity strategist at ANZ, said in a note on Thursday. Still, Hynes cautioned that some "bearish sentiment remains evident as traders continue to monitor negotiations to end Russia's war against Ukraine." Russia said on Wednesday attempts to resolve security issues relating to Ukraine without Moscow's participation were a "road to nowhere," as U.S. and European military planners have begun exploring post-conflict security guarantees for Ukraine. The drawn-out efforts to secure peace in Ukraine mean that Western sanctions on Russian oil supply continue to remain in place. The possibility of further U.S. sanctions and tariffs on Russian oil buyers also hang over the market. Russia, however, remains adamant it will keep providing crude to willing buyers, with Russian diplomats in India saying on Wednesday the country expects to continue supplying oil to India despite warnings from the U.S. U.S. President Donald Trump has announced an additional tariff of 25% on Indian goods from August 27 because of their Russian crude purchases. The European Union has also sanctioned Indian private refiner Nayara Energy, which is backed by Russian oil company Rosneft. Indian refiners initially backed off their Russian buying but company officials at state-run Indian Oil and Bharat Petroleum have bought Russian oil for September and October delivery, resuming purchases after discounts widened.
