Mamelodi Sundowns will be officially crowned 2024/25 Premiership champions at Loftus Versfeld today.
They face Magesi FC in their final home game of the campaign, with kick-off set for 5.30pm.
The match will also mark the official handover of the new-look PSL trophy.
Sundowns clinched the title on Wednesday night with a commanding win over Chippa United at Buffalo City Stadium in East London.
The win took them to 70 points from 27 matches – making them mathematically untouchable at the top.
It also gave coach Miguel Cardoso the green light to start planning for the CAF Champions League final.
'I will start thinking about it now,' Cardoso said, looking ahead to the May 24 showdown against Pyramids FC in Pretoria.
'But it doesn't mean we will not prepare to win our next match (against Magesi).
'Of course we will, because Magesi have been doing well in their recent games. We want to finish the league in the best way, in front of our fans.'

Mamelodi Sundowns' attack is lethal 🔥
These six players have scored a combined 51 goals in the #BetwayPrem this season.#SSDiski pic.twitter.com/gArd4SomkS — SuperSport Football ⚽️ (@SSFootball) May 16, 2025
He further added: 'But I will now obviously start planning for Pyramids.
'I know that my people are working on it because that's the way we prepare. The way they are also working on the Club World Cup.
'But about the Club World Cup, I don't worry at all.
'I have time to start watching something about Pyramids, but let's keep an eye on ourselves because that's also the most important thing.'
Striker Iqraam Rayners opened the scoring against Chippa in their last fixture.
The goal moved him level with teammate Lucas Ribeiro Costa – both now on 14 league goals.
This sets up a friendly in-house shootout for the Golden Boot in today's fixture.
Cardoso, appointed in December, has guided the club to 17 wins, one draw and one loss in 19 league matches.
His impact has been felt across the board, particularly in how Sundowns have coasted to the title.
'I have time now to start watching something about Pyramids,' he said.
'But let's keep an eye on ourselves – that's also the most important thing.'

Masandawana have now matched the PSL-era record of 23 wins in a 34-game season.
They also shattered their own record for most wins in a 30-game campaign – all achieved in just 27 games. Their dominance has been absolute.
Today's visitors, Magesi FC, come in hot with five straight wins.
They've only conceded two goals in that stretch, and sit 12th on the table with five games remaining.
Though not yet safe from relegation, they'll hope to build on their momentum and climb further.
Magesi will still face Marumo Gallants and Orlando Pirates after this weekend.
Delano Abrahams remains their key man. The versatile forward has scored in three of Magesi's last five matches.
He'll be looking to test the newly crowned champions on their big day.
But the afternoon will belong to Sundowns. Their title defence is complete – now, the focus shifts to Africa.

Confirmed: Orlando Pirates to announce new player
Orlando Pirates fans have a new right-back to call their own. Tshepho Mashiloane is coming to Soweto. This will spell new competition for Deano Van Rooyen and Bandile Shandu. As reported in previous weeks, the Sea Robbers signed the 23-year-old Baroka FC star for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership and CAF Champions League. While the Orlando Pirates have yet to announce the news, Baroka FC's chairman, Khurishi Mphahlele, has confirmed that the deal has been completed. 'We still got to pay Mashiloane until the end of June, but Orlando Pirates have purchased Mashiloane for the coming season, not this season,' Mphahlele told iDiski Times . Another Orlando Pirates player to Kaizer Chiefs? Tshepho Mashiloane in action for Baroka FC in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Image: IOL 'But if Pirates want Mashiloane earlier there's no problem we've got an agreement with Pirates. We can always make provision for that, but we are going to pay Mashiloane at the end of June because his contract ends at the end of June and the Pirates contract begins on the first of July. Sundowns star gives back to boys at his former school 'From the first of July he is an Orlando Pirates player, until then he's still our player and we pay him.' The 'Special One' Themba Zwane named in Mamelodi Sundowns' Club World Cup squad
Themba Zwane Themba Zwane watched from the bench as Mamelodi Sundowns fell short against Pyramids— a CAF Champions League final without their captain, and a decision that still haunts Chloorkop. Photo: Backpagepix The Mamelodi Sundowns CAF Champions League final discard Themba Zwane has been named in the squad for the FIFA Club World Cup in the United States later this month. The 35-year-old Zwane was an unused substitute in both legs of the recent CAF showpiece, and the Sundowns coach, Miguel Cardoso, was singled out for stinging criticism on his decision not to field the club's captain. Former Sundowns coach Rulani Mokwena was recently pressed for comment on Sundowns snubbing Zwane for the final. He refused to criticise the decision except to say: "Zwane is special". There is a line of thought that says Cardoso might think the ageing Zwane is not up for the rigours of international football. He did not want the team to suffer due to pressure to select Zwane, the team captain. Meanwhile, the PSL announced that Sundowns will fly out to Florida on Sunday. Speaking ahead of the squad's Sunday departure, Cardoso said the Club World Cup represented a major career highlight for him and a unique opportunity to showcase African football at its finest. The South African champions, one of four African representatives at the tournament, hope to make a strong impression on the global stage, but without feeling overwhelmed by expectation. 'After my experience as an assistant coach in UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches, being involved in the Club World Cup is a big achievement,' said Cardoso, who previously qualified for the tournament with Tunisian club Esperance. 'For me, it's a very particular position - a clear highlight in any coach's career.' Cardoso expressed the pride and responsibility he feels representing South Africa and the African continent. While fully aware of the challenge ahead, he emphasised Sundowns' ambitions to compete fiercely. 'We know we're one of the biggest teams in Africa, but this is a test to see where we stand on the global stage,' he said. 'The mindset here is strong - focused on performance, achieving goals, and winning trophies. We want to understand our level compared to the world's best.' Facing powerhouse German side Borussia Dortmund in the tournament's early stages, Cardoso is well aware of the intensity they will encounter. 'Dortmund plays a very high-tempo, aggressive style typical of German football,' he noted. 'We're used to controlling games with high ball possession - around 70 per cent - so this will be a challenge. We have to be mentally ready to adapt to moments without the ball and still push ourselves to compete.' Cardoso also reflected on how opponents often play defensively against Sundowns, using long balls to bypass their pressure. He believes that to succeed, Sundowns must be a 'very complete team' capable of handling varied styles and maintaining their aggressive approach. Above all, Cardoso wants his players to play with freedom and enjoyment, shedding any burden of expectation. 'The worst thing would be to finish a game feeling we didn't play to our level because we carried unnecessary weight on the pitch,' he said. 'Our players should enjoy the experience and express the joy of African football - on and off the pitch.' He also challenged outdated perceptions of African football as disorganised, pointing to the tactical discipline and quality found in the continent's top teams.
