Aussie icon set to headline the 2025 Logie Awards is revealed
Beloved rocker Jimmy Barnes is set to take the stage at The Star Sydney on August 3, bringing four decades of fan-favourite hits to Aussie ears.
Jimmy, who has 21 number-one albums under his belt as well as a place in the ARIA Hall of Fame, revealed he couldn't wait to 'get the party jumping' at the annual awards ceremony.
'I am excited about playing at the Logies, television's big night of nights,' the 69-year-old said.
'It will be great to celebrate all the fantastic talent we have in Australian television, and to play some rock'n'roll music to get the party jumping.'

The Aussie icon will be joined by the likes of Kitty Flanagan, Hamish Blake and Leigh Sales, who are just a few of the presenters expected to wow the crowd.
It has also been revealed that Sam Pang will host the event for the third time.
Sam's cheeky and irreverent comedy as host last year and in 2023 proved to be a big hit with audiences and TV's A-list, as well as a major ratings winner for Seven.
'It's been an honour to host the last two years and I'm looking forward to again celebrating the talented people and amazing shows that combine to make the Australian television industry something everyone can be proud of,' Sam told The Herald Sun.
'I am very excited to return for another Logies and would like to thank Seven for asking me back.'
The Logie nominations were officially announced in June at the Sydney Opera House and Aussies were relieved to see a certain TV icon up for the most coveted category.
Lynne McGranger, who played Irene Roberts on the soap opera Home and Away for over 33 years, has finally scored a Gold Logie nomination for her hard work.
Taking to Instagram, the 72-year-old Aussie star gushed about the milestone moment in her career and urged fans to vote.
'Well this is some fabulous news to get while I'm away!!' she penned.
'I am so thrilled to be nominated for a Silver Logie for Best Lead Actress in a Drama and the coveted GOLD LOGIE!'
Also nominated for the number one gong is A Current Affair's Ally Langdon, 46, who won Best News or Public Affairs Presenter last year.
Not his first rodeo, two-time winner Hamish Blake, 43, is in the draw again for the Gold Logie, having won it back in 2022 for Lego Masters and in 2012 for Hamish and Andy's Gap Year.
Former ABC News Breakfast presenter Lisa Millar, 56, is also in the running for the top prize for her work on Backroads and Muster Dogs.
Also in the running is MasterChef Australia's Poh Ling Yeow, 51, who was recently plagued with speculation that she may be stepping back from the beloved cooking show before revealing she had signed on to return in 2026.
Julia Morris, 57, is set to battle it out for the Gold Logie too, after hosting Network 10's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in South Africa alongside conservationist Robert Irwin.
And last but not least, Dancing With The Stars' Sonia Kruger, 59, is up for the number one gong again after nabbing a Gold Logie back in 2023.
Voting is now open and will remain so until 7pm on Friday August 1.
The ceremony will be available to watch on Seven and 7Plus.

Rock legend Gavin Rossdale reveals dream of returning to Glasto and why he needs to be on his best behaviour
Gavin Rossdale has spent three decades in the rock 'n' roll spotlight since the release of Bush's debut album Sixteen Stone and admits he's always on his best behaviour now. 'I've been thinking about the kind of people who would pay to do me in,' Gavin laughs as I join him at the Sound Studio in London to celebrate the release of Bush 's tenth record, I Beat Loneliness. 9 'I'm at the point where I'm a really successful working musician. 'I can never go anywhere where I'm anonymous. 'My behaviour has to be really excellent at all times because there's always someone with a camera phone — but I'm not like Kanye West.' The record, with brilliant tracks like The Land of Milk and Honey and Everyone Is Broken, is an ode, Gavin says, to Bush's fans, who have been with them since they broke into the scene in 1995. 'I wanted to make a record for the people who have gotten stuff from our records,' Gavin explains. 'It's about me, but I realised that I'm no different than anyone else. 'I think that everyone is just fighting different battles at all times. But it's important to have so much fun in life. Keep him grounded 'Life is beautiful, but it has its kind of moments where just out of nowhere, people will just f**k with you or life f**ks with you and things happen to you, to people you love. 'So writing a record that spoke to that experience just seemed the most valuable thing to do.' He adds: 'Plus, I don't have any stories of holidays on yachts. So I didn't know what to write about. "Every time I look at Instagram, I go, 'Why is that not me?' Leo [DiCaprio ] has never invited me anywhere.' Gavin is now based in the US but he returned to the UK to walk his model daughter Daisy Lowe down the aisle this month. Back in the US, it's his sons, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, from his marriage to Gwen Stefani, who keep him grounded. 'My recording room is in the bedroom between two of my kids' rooms,' Gavin says. 'I did a remix of Machinehead, one of our earliest songs, and to be honest, I was impressed with myself. "And my 17-year-old son, who's a really good guitar player, walks in and he goes, 'You're not releasing that?' 'I was like, 'What do you mean?' He goes, 'You're taking legend and you're really destroying it.'' Recalling another grounding incident from Kingston, Gavin adds: 'We were on holiday and I was going on tour two days later. "I had guitars in the house that had been used by the kids and I didn't get a chance to practice. 'I started to play one of the songs and he walked in and he goes, 'Do you want any help with that?' 'I took the bait. I was like, 'Look at this house. This is how we got here!' 'I was super defensive. But he was right. I hadn't been playing so I was a bit fingers and thumbs. "He caught me on an upswing. I was like, 'Come to see our second night on tour and then you'll see, son.'' Bush's new album is the perfect follow-up to 2022's The Art of Survival with Scars and I'm Here to Save Your Life proof that Gavin is still a killer songwriter. 9 He says: 'When you've made a lot of records you do think, does anyone need any more. 'But then you have people say, 'Please don't stop making records.' A girl said this to me outside the back of a gig. 'And that stuck with me.' Next in the works for Gavin and Bush is a UK tour, which will hopefully become a reality next year after they've finished supporting Volbeat. 'The idea of doing that Volbeat tour is to sort of stoke the fires,' Gavin says. 'It's a wild, competitive world. And if you don't take things personally, like for me, I haven't played enough of those festivals. 'But instead of moaning about it, it's just sort of like, get out there, make a great record, do a great show all across Europe and then see what happens.' Glastonbury 2027 could also be in the pipeline — with the festival's next date coinciding with the 25th anniversary of Bush last playing there. 'I thought we did quite well when we played there, but we never went back so it could be time,' says Gavin. 'I would love to play Glastonbury. I still remember that show. 'It's brilliant and it would be 25 years . . .' All the more reason to get Emily Eavis on the blower then, Gavin. Jeremy Clarkson has revealed he is 'worried' about John Torode after the MasterChef star was sacked for allegedly using the N-word on set. Australian-born Torode, 59, lost his job at MasterChef after two decades over allegations he used the racial slur, which he claims to have 'absolutely no recollection' of. The BBC said on Tuesday that Torode's contract would not be renewed after a report found he had used an 'extremely offensive racist term' following a complaint from a member of staff. Clarkson, who was dismissed from the BBC himself in 2015 following an altercation with a Top Gear producer, commented on Torode's sacking in his latest column for The Sun this week. Admitting he is concerned for the cooking star, Clarkson wrote: 'Funny isn't it how Top Gear was always seen as the bad boy of the BBC. Every week, we'd be in the papers for doing something wrong or saying something inappropriate. 'And as a result, we were always being carpeted by bosses who told us to sit up straight and clean our teeth, and behave ourselves. Ha. It now turns out that, compared to every other show on the Beeb, we were saints. 'That said, I am a bit worried about this John Torode chap from MasterChef. Because he seems to have been sacked for an offence, even though no one can quite say what the offence was. 'He's been told that at a private party seven or eight years ago, he sang a song which someone thought was racist and that as a result, he has to go. Who reported him? Dunno. Was there any context? No one's saying.' It has been previously reported that Torode, who also hosts a cookery show with his wife Lisa Faulkner on ITV, used the N-word while singing along to a Kanye West song during a wrap party in 2019. But BBC News has since reported this was not the incident which led to the complaint upheld by the report. This instead related to another incident a year earlier, when he allegedly used the same word on set after filming an episode of Masterchef and it was directed at a member of staff. The news site added that the upheld allegation of racist language was one of nine complaints made against Torode in the report, which also related to allegations of abusive language towards junior production staff and sexual language, and which were not upheld. These allegations were not upheld as they were unsubstantiated due to a lack of evidence or witnesses. The complaint against Torode was revealed in the report into co-presenter Gregg Wallace's inappropriate behaviour. Wallace, 60, was sacked after more than 40 complaints against him were upheld. The report also included one further complaint which was upheld relating to a third unnamed person, supposedly a MasterChef senior executive who was accused of swearing, according to BBC News. The news site said it had contacted that executive. Meanwhile, a Banijay spokesperson said the allegation is being handled 'appropriately internally'. Last week, Torode said he had 'absolutely no recollection' of the incident and was 'shocked and saddened' by the allegation. 'I would never wish to cause anyone offence,' he added. Responding to his sacking, Torode said: 'I'd hoped that I'd have some say in my exit from a show I've worked on since its relaunch in 2005, but events in the last few says seem to have prevented that.' He said he 'had loved every minute' working on the show but it was 'time to pass the cutlery to someone else'. 'Life is everchanging and ever moving and sometimes personal happiness and fulfilment lay elsewhere,' he added.

Skye Wheatley has revealed that she has been using artificial intelligence (AI) to assist her with her mental health. The 30-year-old reality star, who recently admitted to having ADHD, has shared the AI-generated insights with her 646K followers on Instagram. Posting to her stories, Skye said she has been 'asking' ChatGPT 'advice' about complex issues such as Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) a condition linked to ADHD. 'Okay last post,' she said on a recent share, adding, 'I've been to therapy and Chat GPT is my fave counsellor so,' she joked signing the message with three smiley emojis. The post included a list of go-to coping strategies including 'Mindful self-compassion' - which advised Skye to speak to herself as 'she would to her son' - in order to not become overwhelmed with 'inner critical voices'. In another video post Skye shared her fears that she might be autistic. 'I honestly feel like, even though I have ADHD, I feel like I might also be on the spectrum,' she said. 'Because of noises, I really struggle with noises and movement. I can't, my brain is just (sound effects of an explosion). Even the TV going on right now, oh my God, I am so triggered.' Skye recently admitted she suffers from body dysmorphia after getting a controversial fox eye lift surgery and several other procedures in Turkey. 'When I was little, I wanted to be a famous singer. I dreamed of being a famous singer, but as I got older and older I doubted myself more,' she said. 'I always had this little voice in my head saying "You're not good enough". 'Maybe that's daddy issues, I don't know. But I've always been like this.
