It's safe to say Lionel Messi has crushed it on the pitch… now he's crushing grapes off it, with his own line of wines.

ANDREA PIRLO - Pratum Coller Nitor IGP Montenetto
(£23)
The first hidden bottle we tested was a white wine that had an immediate early impact.
Richard showed us what to look for, smell for and ultimately taste for - and I (somehow) correctly identified citrus as one of the key notes, albeit suggesting grapefruit instead of lemon and lime or even peach.
Chelsea legend Gullit becomes 'instant meme' as video of him staring at wine drinker who shakes waiter's hand goes viral
Then I scored my first own goal of the testing session… swallowing down a big gulp of the vino rather than swirling it around my mouth and back out into a spittoon as the pros do.
This was a fresh, classy wine that one could easily enjoy for a full 90 minutes with the acidity a clue it is Italian - and for that reason, I guessed Andrea Pirlo, a classy footballer, a crowd pleaser and perfect on a summer's evening.
Get a bit too much of it, though, and Pirlo's wine might leave you down on your backside looking a little silly - a la Joe Hart at Euro 2012.
The Italian maestro owns the Pratum Coller vineyard which has 15 acres of vines and produces 25-30,000 bottles per year.

DAVID SILVA - Tameran Malvasia Volcanica 2022
(£41)
As the first half progressed, I grew into the game and thought I was getting a good grasp.
Richard seemed genuinely quite surprised and impressed when I correctly identified the vanilla notes in wine No2.
This delicious darker white had honey, smoky and even explosive tints - in part due to the grapes growing in volcanic Gran Canaria.
This wine has aged well and reflects its owner who kept going until 37, David Silva - and like the four-time Premier League winner, deserves more accolades than it is given credit for.

DAVID GINOLA - Coste Brulade Provence Rosé 2023
(£14)
As we hit half-time, it was time to shake things up with a rose - Richard informed me wine tasting is done by starting with whites, then roses and then finally reds.
This floral, red-fruity and summery number had Wimbledon vibes - but more the All England Club rather than the Crazy Gang at Plough Lane.
Spurs fan Richard's expertise suggested this

ANDRES INIESTA - Corazon Loco Tinto Joven 2022
(£15)
Well into second half, now, and this is where the reds come into their own.
This one was so deep in colour it looked like it had parked the bus - Jose Mourinho would be proud.
Straight off the nose, I could detect the flair and creativity and we picked out flavours of cherries, blackcurrants and blackberries.
Whoever made this had clearly put plenty of time in perfecting his craft in the vineyard… just like they did on the pitch.
This is a consistent wine that can step up at any occasion - Champions League semi-finals at Stamford Bridge to World Cup finals in Johannesburg.
Impressing in red with his Corazon Loco - which means 'crazy heart' - Andres Iniesta certainly played with his heart and went crazy in red (well, it was the blue away kit!) when he scored the winner as Spain were crowned world champions in 2010.
Andres' father Jose planted ten hectares in the 1990s and the

LIONEL MESSI - Sicily Syrah IGT
(£53)
And lastly, sneaking in during injury-time was the fifth and final wine - and a real showstopper, too.
I got hints of earthiness - not dissimilar to the smell of the Nou Camp pitch from my visit to Barcelona.
And Richard cleverly pointed out that this could mean it is from a player who is used to leaving opposition defenders in the dirt.
So while Lionel Messi may not be renowned for his physical strength or height, he has
And his smooth and silky GOAT 10 Syrah wine does the same with its full-bodied complexity, good acidity and spice, dark fruitiness and subtle floral and oak flavours… this wine can do a bit of everything - sound familiar?
The quality number has plenty of velvety tannins - natural compounds from skins, seeds and stems - and the high alcohol content (14 per cent) leaves a slight burning sensation in the mouth.
The good long finish stays in the mouth - an indicator of the footballer's lengthy career and red-hot ability to find the back of the net more than 850 times.
Interestingly, the Lionel Collection is produced from grapes grown in Italy… for a player born in Argentina and made his name spending most of his career in Spain.

Rasmus Hojlund loan transfer ‘set to COLLAPSE as former boss Erik ten Hag intervenes to scupper Man Utd transfer plans'
One Italian club could yet be interested following the injury of their star striker Hojl up Rasmus Hojlund loan transfer 'set to COLLAPSE as former boss Erik ten Hag intervenes to scupper Man Utd transfer plans' RASMUS HOJLUND'S loan transfer to AC Milan is on the verge of collapsing. That's because the Italian giants are on the brink of completing a loan move for Bayer Leverkusen's Victor Boniface. 2 Rasmus Hojlund's move to AC Milan is set to collapse Credit: Getty 2 It comes as Bayer Leverkusen are set to loan Victor Boniface to the Italians Credit: Getty Hojlund, 22, has fallen out of favour at Manchester United following the signing of Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig in a deal which could be worth £74million if add-ons are met. And the Danish striker had been in talks to sign for Milan on a season-long loan. However, the deal stalled because the structure being negotiated did not include an obligation to buy. And according to BBC Sport, Milan have now moved for Boniface - who led the line when Xabi Alonso won the title at the club two seasons ago - with a similar deal. READ MORE IN FOOTBALL PAINT THE TOWN RED Glamorous Man Utd fan rocks up at Old Trafford in nothing but bodypaint But the deal for the 24-year-old Nigerian forward will only include an option to buy, rather than an obligation. Boniface was an unused substitute by Erik ten Hag as Bayer took on SG Sonnenhof Großaspach in the first round of the DFB-Pokal last Friday. The Bundesliga outfit start their league season by hosting Hoffenheim on Saturday. Meanwhile, Hojlund was not even named in the matchday squad by Ruben Amorim for Man Utd's Premier League opener against Arsenal. BEST ONLINE CASINOS - TOP SITES IN THE UK United lost the clash 1-0 after a goalkeeper error by Altay Bayindir allowed Riccardo Calafiori to nod in at the far post of a corner. Hojlund is one of a number of stars who are not in Amorim's plans for the season, also including Antony, Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho. Amorim refuses to guarantee Hojlund Man Utd future amid Sesko transfer push While a move to the San Siro has not materialised, Hojlund could still seal a loan to Napoli, where he could link up with former Red Devils team-mate Scott McTominay. The Serie A champions are in the market for a new striker after Romelu Lukaku suffered a thigh injury that could see him sidelined for four months. Hojlund declared his intention to stay and fight for his place at United earlier this month following two inconsistent seasons at Old Trafford. However, the decision to omit him from the squad against the Gunners may have sent a message that he will struggle for game time if he stays at United this season. The Red Devils face Fulham in the league on Sunday before a trip to Grimsby in the League Cup second round next Wednesday.

The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant pleaded guilty to burglary and criminal damage on Wednesday. The 30-year-old did, however, dispute the cost of the damage, which was accrued after he was reported to have destroyed four mounted crystals during a raid of an antiques shop in Westminister. Arsenal's seven transfer options to replace crocked Kai Havertz revealed as Mikel Arteta scrambles for late deal
Scroll down to see our seven options, including two stars on the brink of transfers New cannon Arsenal's seven transfer options to replace crocked Kai Havertz revealed as Mikel Arteta scrambles for late deal ARSENAL were dealt a bitter blow with the news that Kai Havertz had been ruled out with a knee injury. The blow has left the Gunners' squad short of firepower, having brought the German, 26, on during their 1-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday. 15 Kai Havertz's knee injury has left Arsenal scrambling to find a new attacker Credit: Getty 15 There are a number of options they are considering, including Morgan Rogers as exclusively revealed by SunSport Credit: Getty Club transfer chiefs had already been eyeing another attacker following the arrivals of Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke, but Havertz's knock means that search will move into top gear. And reports have indicated the Emirates outfit have a shortlist of seven players they are considering as they scramble to strike a late deal in the summer window. Morgan Rogers SunSport exclusively revealed earlier today that Arsenal were weighing up a stunning move for Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers. On Tuesday night Rogers was crowned the PFA Young Player of the Year, with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta personally congratulating him in Manchester when he received the award. The Gunners had already been monitoring the 23-year-old as someone to potentially challenge Gabriel Martinelli, though Villa are determined to keep hold of the versatile attacker. Villa have no need to shift more players in order to meet Premier League and Uefa financial rules after selling Jacob Ramsey to Newcastle for £40m and loaning Leon Bailey to Roma. 15 They value Rogers at £80million and are unlikely to entertain offers below that price, meaning Arsenal would have to make the six cap England international their most expensive signing of the summer. So who else is on the table as an alternative, as the Telegraph report Arsenal will happily seek a loan if Havertz is ruled out for months. BEST ONLINE CASINOS - TOP SITES IN THE UK Julian Alvarez 15 Former Man City star Julian Alvarez is said to want out of Atletico Madrid Credit: Shutterstock Editorial One of the biggest breaking stories of the week is reports coming out of Spain that Julian Alvarez is unsettled at Atletico Madrid. It is claimed that Alvarez's camp believe they have made a mistake by signing for the Spanish club and want out due to being frustrated with his current role under Diego Simeone. How Arsenal survived Man Utd's attacks with 'forcefield defence' 15 The 25-year-old World Cup winner has already cut his teeth in the Premier League with Manchester City, where he spent two seasons and had 36 goals and 19 assists in 103 games in all competitions. Alvarez has certainly retained his scoring touch in LaLiga, having netted a screamer of a free-kick in the opener against Espanyol despite his Madrid going on to lose 2-1. Alexander Sorloth 15 Alexander Sorloth is down the pecking order at Atletico Madrid and is available for a cut-price move Credit: Getty At the same time, team-mate and former Crystal Palace star Alexander Sorloth is available on the market. The 6ft 4" 29-year-old matches Arsenal's favoured type of player whereby he is a physical specimen, and has an eye for goal with 24 goals for Madrid last season. 15 He is also likely to be far cheaper than most other targets - with the Norwegian being valued at £43m by his club - and have less competition in for him, with West Ham having been linked with a move. But there are also options within the Premier League to be considered. Eberechi Eze 15 Arsenal have long held interest in Eberechi Eze, who was a Gunners fan growing up Credit: Reuters Arsenal have a longstanding interest in Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, but would need to hijack an expected deal between the Eagles and North London rivals Tottenham to land the 27-year-old. Spurs and Palace have agreed a £60m deal for the attacking midfielder after a major breakthrough in talks on Tuesday. 15 SunSport understands that Spurs will pay £30m up front for Eze, with the rest made in instalments, with the initial payment helping Palace to sign a replacement for their outgoing talisman. The advantage Arsenal do have is the fact he supported them as a boy, though whether that sentimentality could come up trumps remains to be seen. Yoane Wissa 15 Arsenal could make a late swoop to hijack Newcastle's deal for Yoane Wissa Credit: Rex Elsewhere, Arsenal could condemn Newcastle to missing out on another transfer target by making a move for wantaway Brentford ace Yoane Wissa. The Magpies have made an improved offer of £40m to land the 28-year-old, who scored 19 Premier League goals last season. That being said, the Bees are thought to want between £50-£60m for Wissa. This comes after they also lost key stars Bryan Mbeumo and captain Christian Norgaard to Manchester United and Arsenal respectively earlier in the window. Nicolas Jackson 15 Nicolas Jackson has been offered to Arsenal and a host of top Prem sides Credit: Getty Luckily, Arsenal do have a pair of options who will also be far easier to attain in the form of Chelsea's Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku. In Jackson's case, the Blues have offered the 24-year-old to the likes of Man Utd, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Arsenal for a price of at least £60m. 15 Arsenal have already brought two players from Chelsea this summer in the form of Madueke and Kepa Arrizabalaga. Yet Jackson - who has 30 goals and 12 assists in 81 games for the Stamford Bridge outfit - could be the best of the bunch. Christopher Nkunku 15 Christopher Nkunku has been heavily linked with a Chelsea exit Credit: Getty Nkunku is out of favour under Enzo Maresca despite an impressive Club World Cup, and has been linked with a move away from England as the likes of Bayern Munich and RB Leizpig circle. Talks with Leipzig are at a crucial stage with the club themselves fuelling speculation on social media, but Chelsea would prefer a permanent sale to a loan. 15 When Chelsea previously discussed Nkunku with Leipzig, it appeared neither the player nor the club were interested in being reunited despite his previous successful spell there between 2019 and 2023. The 27-year-old has also been the subject of enquiries from clubs in England and Italy as Chelsea value the Frenchman at £43m (€50m). Internal? While Arsenal will want to make a key addition to their squad in order to help them finally land an elusive Premier League title after a wait of more than two decades, there are internal options if all else fails. Mikel Merino had a successful stint playing up front last season and could be a perfect impact sub behind Gyokeres for the upcoming campaign, though that would then mean Arsenal are short on midfielders.
