WNBA Suffers Big Blow After Caitlin Clark Injury originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark suffered a left quadriceps strain and has been ruled out for at least two weeks. It's unclear when the injury occurred, but it's worth noting that the reigning Rookie of the Year was seen holding a compress to her left leg during last Saturday's game against the New York Liberty.

Clark remained in that contest until the final buzzer, and two days later, the Fever announced the injury along with the expected recovery timeline.
Her first missed game was on the road against the Washington Mystics on Wednesday. It remained close throughout but ultimately Indiana lost 83-77 to fall to 2-3 on the season. Fever center DeWanna Bonner led the way in Clark's absence with 21 points, four rebounds and one assist.

With all the attention Clark has received since entering the league last season, she hadn't missed a WNBA game until Wednesday. Ticket prices for that game dropped 47%, according to Front Office Sports, and it's clear fans were more interested in paying to see Clark than watching the Fever without her.

According to USA Today's Christine Brennan, viewership "for Wednesday's Fever-Mystics game without Caitlin Clark tells the story: 357,000 people watched on NBA TV. Eight days earlier, also on NBA TV, 581,000 people watched Clark and the Fever play the Dream."
The drop-off is clear, and the WNBA will have to do what it can until she returns. For what it's worth, Clark set record after record in her rookie season, was named an All-Star, selected to the All-WNBA First Team, led the league in assists and more.
Through five games this season, she's averaging 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 9.3 assists.

Historic Firsts - Part One This final marks the first time Inter Milan and PSG have ever faced each other in the Champions League. In fact this is only the second European Cup final between teams from France and Italy. The first remains the only time a Ligue 1 club has lifted the trophy – Marseille beating AC Milan 1-0 in Munich in the 1993 Champions League. This game also takes place in Munich. An omen? 2. Historic Firsts - Part Two PSG has never won the title. Should they win, Paris would become the 24th side to win the European Cup and a new name on the trophy for the second time in three seasons, after Manchester City beat Inter in 2023. Meanwhile Inter's manager Simone Inzaghi is still aiming for his first European title as a coach. As a player, he once won the UEFA Super Cup with Lazio in 1999 by defeating Manchester United. 3. Historic Seconds? PSG's manager Luis Enrique was a Champions League winner as Barcelona coach in 2014/15. He is the tenth coach to reach the European Cup final with different clubs. Only six have won the trophy with multiple teams: Ernst Happel (Feyenoord & Hamburg); Ottmar Hitzfeld (Dortmund & Bayern); José Mourinho (Porto & Inter); Jupp Heynckes (Real Madrid & Bayern); Carlo Ancelotti (AC Milan & Real Madrid); and Pep Guardiola (Barcelona & Manchester City). Paris have not been involved in a goalless draw in the Champions League since their 0-0 with Real Madrid in the 2015/16 group stage – 98 matches ago. 5. Milan's edge over French Teams PSG's record vs Italian clubs: W6 D9 L10 (Goals F27 A33) Inter's record vs French clubs: W12 D8 L7 (Goals F42 A27) Paris' record in two UEFA penalty shoot-outs is W1 L1 Inter's record in five UEFA penalty shoot-outs is W2 L3 6. Inter & PSG's Millions Inter Milan will pay the squad $11.33 million in bonuses if they are to beat PSG in the Champions League final. Meanwhile Paris St Germain have 63.2M followers on Instagram vs just 14.4M for Inter Milan. 7. Opta vs The Bookies Opta's supercomputer has predicted the Champions League winner, giving PSG a 53.6% chance and Inter a 44.6% chance. Bookies are more bullish on PSG winning, offering odds of about -150 on PSG and +120 on Inter Milan. Bonus Fun Paris Saint Germain have far more interesting anagrams to make from their letters, including Repairing Satanism, Reprising Tasmania, and Raining Separatism. For the Italians, there's Airline Mint, Mini Rental and Mineral Tin. This story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on May 30, 2025, where it first appeared.

PSG and Inter Milan Fans Clash on Subway Ahead of Final in Munich

PSG and Inter Milan Fans Clash on Subway Ahead of Final in Munich originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The UEFA Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan also pits two of the most heated crowds in Europe against each other. Historically, there has been no significant rivalry between the teams, but today there are intense confrontations both on and off the pitch to see who lifts the trophy. Advertisement European football is often surrounded by fights before important matches. Although such incidents are now rare near stadiums due to the strong presence of law enforcement, hooligans can still cause problems miles away from the actual game. In a video shared on social media, Inter Milan and PSG supporters clashed in a brawl on the subway while heading to the match. In the video, French supporters were inside the train, while the Inter Milan fans were outside. The reason for the initial confusion remains unknown. In the same video, it is possible to see some supporters close to the brawl were trying to stay away from the fight. Also read: Both teams seek redemption in the Champions League final Not only is this a chance for Inter Milan to redeem themselves for their loss to Manchester City in the final two years ago, but also an opportunity to lift the trophy after beating Barcelona in overtime with a historic goal. Advertisement On the other side, PSG is a team that invested millions to build a team with the best players, but the project with Neymar and Mbappé does not go as planned, and they lost in the Champions League final to Bayern Munich in 2020. A year later, the team makes another investment and signed Lionel Messi on the summer of 2021, but once again it didn't work out and the trio left the club, leaving PSG empty-handed - or so they thought before Luis Enrique arrived at the club and transformed the culture inside the locker room. PSG and Inter Milan play two different styles of football. While Paris prefers to maintain possession and try to create scoring opportunities, Inter likes to sit back and wait for counter-attacks to try to score - but PSG also has the speed to score when the roles are reversed, thanks to players like Dembélé, and Kvaratskhelia. Here's where to watch the UEFA Champions League final: Advertisement Where to watch: Paramount Plus (coverage starts at 1pm); Kickoff time: 3pm EST; Live from Allianz Arena, in Munich; Pre-match show: Linkin Park. Colorado Football is All Over Social Media for Most Recent GPA originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Deion Sanders is entering his third season as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, and his impact continues to extend far beyond the football field. When Sanders took over a bottom-feeding program, he promised a complete cultural shift with his "Louis," and he has delivered. Advertisement The transformation was evident again Friday when CoIs lorado football announced a 2.95 GPA for the spring semester, the highest spring GPA in program history and second-highest overall. It follows a 3.01 GPA set last fall. While it's a high point for program, not everyone on social media was ready to congratulate Sanders and the Buffs. "Respect to Prime but 2.9 as your 2nd highest is crazy" Damp said. "The schools gotta stop posting anything below a 3.0" 😂😂, Ben added. "And I have to keep above a 3.5 for my scholarship 😭," Ian said. "C's get degrees," Tim and MSU Barstool said. "I can't believe this is a flex 😂," Dark Horse said.
