Here's Why Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez Have Delayed Wedding Planning, Former Says ‘It'll Be Chill'

Pink Villa11-07-2025
Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez announced their engagement with a post on December 12 2024, with the Hands to Myself singer writing about how her 'forever begins now'. Congratulations poured in from all sides, as after dating for a long time, their fans were keen on seeing the two take the next step. Questions about their wedding plans have been rampant; however, the duo has remained very tight-lipped about whether anything has happened so far. Now, the music producer is speaking about how they haven't begun yet, but that's because he wants to take a break between all the work they've been doing.
What's the Status of Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez's Wedding Planning?
Talking to Jake Shane on his podcast Therapuss, Benny Blanco confirmed that he had not begun planning for his wedding yet. He shared just how busy the two had been since their Taco Bell-style engagement 'We got engaged and then we were filming music videos for our album, then it's holidays, then right after the holidays, we had to start all the promo for our stuff, do that.' However, that was the last of their problems as soon, she went off on her acting gig, halting their plans once again. 'Then she left to film her show, Only Murders, and then I met her, then we hung out for a week, and then right after that, it's [more] promo.'
With everything happening in their lives, the two haven't had the chance to plan their ceremony. But Ed Sheeran seems to have already gotten an invite. 'Honestly, I really want to take a little break. I've been working so much,' he revealed as the reason for the delay. He added that he wants to enjoy a relaxing time with his partner. 'I just want to lie in bed and forget what day it is because we've been in bed just watching stuff. Not usually, but with Selena, I can do it all day. She makes me want to hang out and cuddle, just watch things, eat food, and have the best time ever.'
On the host's remark about how amazing the nuptials would be, looking at the interest from all around, the Castle On The Hill producer shared that the vibe for this marriage would be 'chill', unlike an extravagant soiree that the world would be expecting. The couple aims to plan it soon, maybe in the coming summer.'We're going to sit down and be like, 'OK, what are we doing?''

Merab Dvalishvili To Feature In Karan Aujla's Music Video?

UFC champ Merab Dvalishvili is set to appear in Karan Aujla's Punjabi music video. UFC bantamweight champion Merab Dvalishvili has surprised fans by stepping out of the Octagon and into the world of Punjabi music with a cameo in superstar Karan Aujla's next music video. A now-deleted brief clip of the Georgian fighter arriving on set in Canada has already ignited an online frenzy, as viewers eagerly anticipate seeing 'The Machine" alongside one of India's biggest recording artists. In the video posted on social media, Dvalishvili greets the camera with his trademark stoicism before breaking into a wide grin. 'Great quick trip to Canada to be in @karanaujla new music video this weekend! Next time I will hope to stay longer!" he says, promising more behind-the-scenes moments once production wraps. Karan Aujla- whose string of chart-toppers has made him a global phenomenon – shared the clip on his Instagram Stories, teasing fans with a snippet of the upcoming single's audio track. Reactions poured in from both MMA and music communities. One viewer joked, 'Only Merab could land a fight and a feature with equal swagger," while another praised the champion's willingness to experiment outside his comfort zone. Though details about the song's title and release date remain under wraps, insiders suggest the video will debut later this month, timed to coincide with Aujla's international tour. Production sources describe a cinematic approach, featuring dynamic camera angles and vibrant set pieces that showcase Merab performing basic dance moves, intercut with clips of his rigorous training regimen. This contrast is expected to highlight the fighter's dual identity as both a world-class athlete and a newcomer to Bollywood-style music videos. For Dvalishvili, who recently defended his bantamweight title with a display of relentless pressure and superb takedown defense, this artistic detour represents a chance to connect with a broader audience. As he prepares for his next UFC challenge, the champion's foray into music points to an expanding personal brand that transcends mixed martial arts. Whether the collaboration will spawn similar partnerships remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: Merab Dvalishvili's star power is now lighting up arenas both inside the cage and on the dance floor. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. NFLPA stuns league with Hollywood bombshell, hires SAG-AFTRA powerbroker David White as interim chief

David White makes his blockbuster NFLPA entrance (Image via Getty) The NFL Players Association has stunned league watchers by reportedly tapping a blockbuster new leader from outside the football orbit. In a bold move to reshape its negotiating firepower, the union is said to be bringing in seasoned labor heavyweight David White as interim executive director. The timing comes as player contract battles and revenue issues approach critical mass this season. A blockbuster crossover hire that blends big-league football, Hollywood leverage, and high-stakes negotiations David White previously served as the national executive director and chief negotiator of Hollywood's performers' union, SAG-AFTRA — a role that saw him steer high-stakes negotiations with major film studios and streamers. His entertainment-industry pedigree is now positioning him as a potential secret weapon in the NFLPA's long-term bargaining strategy. The prospective hire signals a deliberate shift toward a more media-savvy brand of union leadership. Hollywood powerbroker steps onto the gridiron, ready to shake up football's old guard Having led contract showdowns in Hollywood, White is no stranger to navigating headline-hungry stakeholders. According to industry insiders, his unexpected arrival reflects a calculated culture shift inside the players' union. Many believe his outsider perspective could help the NFLPA square up to billion-dollar TV and ownership interests with unprecedented aggression. Quiet discussions among agents suggest the move is aimed at future-proofing player leverage ahead of the next CBA standoff. By crossing over from Hollywood to the gridiron, White embodies the modern merging of sport and entertainment. Sources familiar with the process say union leaders wanted someone who truly understands visibility, narrative and public momentum — qualities not always found in traditional sports executives. His résumé appears to tick every box as the NFLPA gears up for fresh battles over media rights, branding and player marketing. Aggressive strategy ahead of negotiation battles Union insiders describe White as bringing a heavyweight résumé to an already charged landscape. His ability to identify leverage opportunities is expected to become a serious factor as the NFLPA plots its strategy against increasingly corporate league interests. While 'former national executive director of SAG-AFTRA' may be an eyebrow-raising title for football fans, supporters believe the surprise choice is precisely what makes him dangerous. Veteran agents predict White could deploy Hollywood-style pressure tactics designed to spark headlines, sway public sentiment, and build global fan support. With players becoming more vocal on revenue splits, turf safety, healthcare and discipline issues, his outside-industry playbook may supercharge the fight. Internally, his addition is being framed as a necessary step toward transforming the NFLPA into a next-generation entertainment union. Why this surprise hire could change the game for NFL stars around the world White's anticipated appointment comes at a moment when top athletes are doubling as influencer-brands with commercial crossover ambitions. His reputation for controlling public narratives is seen as increasingly valuable. One source close to the process says the union wanted someone who could 'speak legal and go viral.' From Hollywood sets to locker rooms nationwide, this move suggests future player empowerment campaigns will look very different. The union is expected to hand White the reins immediately as interim director. He steps into a post previously held by some of the most influential leaders in modern sports labor. Whether he stays beyond the interim period may depend on early traction. But one thing is clear — bringing in a Hollywood-forged negotiator signals a dramatic strategic shift as the NFLPA braces for its next high-stakes clash with the most powerful league in American sports.
