A year ago I tested Shark's handheld pet vacuum that promises 'effortless pet hair pick-up' and still use it every day - now shoppers can snap it up for less than half price in a clever deal stack.
When trying to clean up a mess quickly it's much easier to rely on a hand held vacuum rather than getting out a full-sized machine. We now use the Shark Handheld most days around the house - I've found it comes in really handy for quick jobs like picking up stray bits of debris around the cat litter box, and is much lighter than our corded vacuum for a quick spruce-up of the carpet on the stairs - ideal for a quick clean up, particularly if you're in a rush.
For one day only, TopCashback members can secure 25% cashback at Shark Clean. And those who are new to TopCashback can grab a free £15 new member bonus on all purchases over £15. As the Shark Classic Handheld Pet Vacuum usually retails at £79.99 but is currently on offer for £59.99 this means that, until midnight tonight (Friday, May 9), new TopCashback members can effectively snap it up for £32.49 after cashback. Meanwhile, existing members aren't completely left out of the action, as they can also grab one for £47.49 after cashback.
The 25% cashback works site-wide which means shoppers can also use the deal on other products sold by the tech brand - including high spec fans and hair gadgets.
According to Shark's website, the Classic Handheld Pet Vacuum is designed for homes with pets, promising 'effortless pet hair pick-up throughout your home,' with the motorised pet tool to remove embedded hair from cushions, curtains, soft furnishings, car interiors and more.
Unboxing the vacuum last May, I was impressed by how lightweight and ergonomic it was. It has a sleek-looking design and the attachments fit to the unit comfortably without feeling as if you have to force them.
To truly put the Shark through its paces, I had a real challenge in mind - my husband's car boot. Admittedly, this had not been hoovered for a while, and is often used for shipping around our beloved greyhound, who has notoriously fine hair. It gets embedded into sort furnishings very easily, and can be stubborn to shift with any vacuum we've tried to date.
The pet attachment did struggle to pick up debris between the grooves in the base of the car boot. I made repeated passes over them without feeling it had made much of a difference, but it did pick up larger bits like the pine needles well. Where it really shone was on flat pieces of carpet along the edges, and the seat backing, which required fewer passes to lift out the pet hair.
But before I knew it, the battery was dead. This was after about 20 minutes or so working on the car boot with the pet attachment. According to Shark, the Handheld Pet Vacuum can run for 'up to 10 minutes of run-time per charge,' pitching it as being ideal for on-the-spot cleans. It claims the 'no-fade Lithium-ion technology ensures lasting power and performance.' In this respect, it outperformed the promises made by Shark, but a longer run time would be handy for longer jobs like this one.
Having said that, what Shark appears to have done with this handheld model is focus the battery's energy on suction power over runtime - which in my book is more useful for handheld models. I've had cheaper models in the past that run for 30, even 40 minutes, but with incredibly weak suction, to the point I've given up and lugged out our trusty, albeit hefty, Dyson to do the job properly. The Shark Classic Handheld Pet Vacuum is currently on offer for £59.99 from Shark, or £32.49 after cashback via today's deal. Elsewhere, this Tower Optimum Handheld with 79 five-star reviews is currently on offer for £39 on Amazon.
To claim the Top Cashback deal, follow these steps:
To claim the cashback offer, new members of TopCashback need to sign up via this link.
Search for Shark Clean and click 'Get Cashback Now'.

Apple fans snapping up 'excellent' Watch Series 7 as price plummets to £155
Wowcher has cut the price of the Apple Watch Series 7 for those wanting a bargain smartwatch Apple fans looking for a bargain Apple Watch might be in luck because Wowcher has a new deal on the Watch 7 as the price has plummeted. Wowcher is selling the Apple Watch 7 for £155 - down from the usual RRP of £419.99 when the product first released. One thing to note is that this product is refurbished so it will have some signs of wear and tear depending on what condition shoppers choose to buy. The Apple Watch 7 comes with a large, edge-to-edge Retina display and all the key health and fitness tracking tools Apple fans would expect, like heart rate monitoring, workout tracking, and sleep insights. 'Brilliant Shark fan that's saved me this summer has £50 off as UK heatwave arrives' 63p-a-day supplement for menopausal women that helps them 'feel like their old selves' It's a great everyday smartwatch that keeps users connected with calls, messages, and app notifications, right on the wrist. It also comes with exercise routines that can be tracked depending on the workout. It also has all-day battery life and is swim-proof. It's not the newest device on the market and this model is also refurbished so make sure that's taken on board. The good news is that Wowcher offers a 14-day no-quibble returns if it's not what shoppers want. Those who want a more action-packed device, Argos is selling the newer Apple Watch Series 10 for £299.99 which has boosted features compared to the Watch 7 and is one of the newer devices on the market. And for Android fans, there's also the Galaxy Watch7 from Sky for £9 a month - another one of the newest device by Samsung at an affordable monthly cost. Grab the Apple Watch Series 7 for £155 £419.99 £155 Wowcher GET DEAL Product Description When it comes to reviews, many have called the Apple Watch 7 a brilliant device that stands up today. One reviewer said: "This watch is fantastic. It's in excellent condition. No marks at all. Compared to my older version Apple Watch this is a game changer. The screen is larger and clearer. The battery is fantastic. I'm looking to buy my sister one for her birthday." Our colleagues over at the Daily Express also reviewed the Apple Watch Series 7 - and were super impressed with the device. Tech editor David Snelling said: "This is another great wearable from Apple that now features some nice improvements, such as a bigger and brighter display, more robust case design, and faster charging. The new colours look great and the addition of the new digital keyboard makes responding to messages from your wrist an absolute breeze. "Despite all of those useful upgrades in the Series 7, we can't help feeling that this should have been the year when the Apple Watch got a totally new look. "There's nothing wrong with the rounded-square design, but things haven't changed in over six years and that's a massive shame. Not only that, but the Apple Watch is starting to look pretty dated next to the latest iPhone, iPad and other Apple gadgets – rather than apiece with them. "If you haven't joined the smartwatch revolution or still have an Apple Watch Series 2 or Series 3 on your wrist, trust us, you're going to absolutely love the Series 7. It will feel like a humongous upgrade."

Shopping expert's school uniform money saving tips match Aldi's £5 deal
With the summer holidays in full swing, families across the country are starting the expensive and lengthy annual task of purchasing uniforms and other back-to-school necessities. Department for Education (DfE) statistics reveal that it costs an average of £442 to equip a child for secondary school and £343 for primary school. To address this issue, the government is tackling rising uniform expenses through its proposed Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill, which will restrict the number of branded - and consequently more costly - items schools can include on uniform lists, giving parents flexibility to purchase cheaper alternatives. In recent years, supermarket clothing ranges such as Tu at Sainsbury's, George at Asda, and F&F at Tesco have joined Matalan and other budget retailers in expanding their uniform collections to challenge the higher prices of high street brands like M&S and Next. However, a consumer expert has highlighted a method to save even more on budget uniform, bringing the cost down to match Aldi's sold-out £5 uniform bundle, reports the Mirror. Abigail Yearley, director at TopCashback, explained that whilst parents can often feel relief when children return to school in September, expenses can rapidly accumulate and become 'overwhelming.' She explained: "There's often a long list of things to replace such as outgrown uniforms, broken stationery and worn-out shoes. Fortunately, back-to-school doesn't have to cost a fortune. "There are lots of savvy methods that can be used to save in the run up to the new school year, from using voucher codes and taking advantage of promotions, to shopping using a cashback website or second-hand to cut costs." TopCashback provides a percentage return on every qualifying purchase throughout the year, plus a free £15 new member sign-up bonus for fresh customers. This can be utilised at most school uniform stockists including Tu at Sainsbury's, George at Asda, F&F at Tesco, Matalan and M&S, meaning savings can soon add up. As an illustration, TopCashback members shopping at Tu could pick up a seven-piece uniform package comprising two pairs of trousers (or two skirts), three pairs of long sleeve school shirts and two V-neck jumpers for as little as £8.89 depending on size once cashback is received. Per garment, this equals the same cost as Aldi's enormously popular four-piece uniform bundle. Aldi's uniform bundle is an annual sell-out and causes much discussion on money-saving social media groups with its budget offer of four uniform essentials for £5. Nevertheless, whilst it's broadly regarded as the most affordable uniform choice, it is exclusively available in-store only during very early summer, with this year's launch occurring in late June and selling out within hours as customers rushed for the deal. The TopCashback uniform deal is available now and, for shoppers who'd prefer to shop elsewhere, the £15 new member bonus can be used to offset costs for plenty of other essential items. In addition to offering discounts on uniforms, TopCashback's new member sign-up can be used with other brands such as Kickers for school shoes (where it can be combined with their up to 40% off school shoes sale) or The Works for stationery essentials - although the percentage of cashback earned alongside the £15 bonus will vary by shop. Customers must register via TopCashback's new member link and then shop as usual to receive the money back. Abigail Yearley's additional top tips on saving money this back-to-school season, include: Creating a list of 'must-buys' - and remembering not everything needs to be bought now: Staggering spend is an excellent way to lessen its impact. Where possible, try holding out, as many items go on sale once the school year begins. TopCashback's Money Guide provides a complete school checklist and even more savings tips for the new school year. Abigail says: "It's important to get first dibs on the bigger items such as schoolwear, but things like stationary bundles or tech can wait until the school year has started or the days just before." Shop around: Keep an eye out for discount codes or multibuy offers to maximise savings. Don't overlook second-hand and pre-loved uniform: Often children outgrow clothes before they wear out. Many schools will have a shop of donated items to choose from and there are online outlets from Uniformerly to eBay and Vinted as well as Facebook Marketplace. Prepare for the unexpected: Growth spurts are a given, and many retailers have provisions in place for such unforeseen changes. Clarks provides a fit guarantee on school shoes, making it easy to exchange them up to three months after purchase if they become too snug. Asda, Tesco and Matalan also offer a 100-day guarantee, so if the quality or fit isn't up to scratch, you can return them and receive a full refund.

Whilst the Buyagift website hasn't yet received any reviews for this afternoon tea offer, several shoppers have posted their opinions on the Virgin Experience website. One patron commented: "Fabulous afternoon tea which was delicious. The staff were amazing which made the experience even better. Highly recommend The Slug and Lettuce Oxford." Another customer remarked: "All amazing! Table was ready for us when we arrived, the food was excellent and very good service." A third visitor concurred, noting: "We had a warm welcome, friendly staff lovely atmosphere and a very tasty afternoon tea." Not every guest was entirely satisfied though. One disheartened diner posted a three-star review stating: "Limited on hot drinks due to coffee machine broken. Sandwiches were not the best." On the whole, most visitors relished their Afternoon Tea at the Slug and Lettuce, making the cashback offer with TopCashback even more appealing. Another five-star review concluded by saying: "Very enjoyable. The whole of the afternoon was a great time with great food and drink." How to secure the afternoon tea for less than £15 with TopCashback: Sign up as a new member at TopCashback for free via this link. Search for Buyagift on the site, click through and buy the item normally. Get £15 cashback when you spend £15 or more.
