From Lord Krishna to rockstar: Sourabh Raaj Jain on his return to TV after 5 years
Sourabh Raaj Jain is back on the small screen after a five-year hiatus. The actor, best known for his portrayal of Lord Krishna, is currently playing a rockstar in Siddharth Kumar Tewary's TV show Tu Dhadkan Mein Dil.
Talking about his absence from television, he says, 'Two years went by during the pandemic. Then I did Khatron Ke Khiladi. I also did web shows and a film, which are yet to be released. I am hungry for different kinds of roles, irrespective of the medium. If I get something challenging that I haven't done before, I'll take it up. When I was offered Tu Dhadkan..., I liked the concept and took it up.'
Sourabh is known to keep a low profile, but has that impacted his work in any way? He replies, 'I have always been like this and I like it this way.
I believe my work should speak for itself, so I don't know if not socialising has had any effect. I joined Instagram before the pandemic. I'm active there, but beyond that, I don't do much.'
'The time I spend with my kids is meaningful'
Sourabh, who is a father of two, makes sure he spends quality time with his children. 'Whenever I have time, I like to be at home with my family. Life in Mumbai is like the Mumbai rains — either there's a flood of work or nothing sometimes (smiles). So I make sure that the time I spend with my kids is meaningful. They understand my work demands and I always inform my family about my whereabouts.'
